H&R Block

This is our second year coming to this location and we have used the same tax preparer each time, so I can only comment on his services. Eddy B. is professional, knowledgeable and personable to boot. We had tried filing our taxes ourselves, but had miscalculated quite a bit. Not only did Eddy find our errors, but he was able to get us all of the money we overpaid back for the past 2 years. This year we were in and out in no time at all. It’s so nice having all of our info saved and accessible anytime we need it too. We made our appointment online and had no trouble getting in and out in under an hour. Super easy!
I will say they might be a bit overpriced for tax prep, given how easy our tax situation really is, but it is worth it for the peace of mind it gives us — and the refunds we got back! Thanks, Eddy!

Sometimes we all need a motivator to make a change … well this was mine!!!
I’ve never trusted myself to do my taxes, not sure why. One of those things that I never really got the full handle off, and figured, since I don’t know the process 100%, I am not going to trust myself, so let me have H&R Block do it. And honestly, my taxes aren’t even complicated!
Well, needless to say, this was by far the WORST experience I have ever had at H&R block. The WORST! If I could give a 0 for stars, I would!
So it turns out that this year, the tax geniuses at H&R block completes the return and then goes back to check some numbers. Checks and checks. She calls over one associates and he says everything is fine. Did it end here? NO!!! She checks again and asks the same associate AGAIN. He says it is fine. Ends here? Of course NOT! She checks again, checks again … then calls another associate … and turns out she has made a mistake … NOT IN MY FAVOR! WTF!!!
Not that I am looking to steal money, the return was completed correctly, at least to my knowledge … but you go to a professional, and you expect the task you pay for to be done correctly. NOT HERE!!!
Needless to say, NEVER again will I return and the one star … is a thank you to H&R Block for me to get off my lazy butt and learn to file my own taxes once and for all!!!
