History

Established in 1994.

Kids ‘R‘ Kids Academy of Oviedo has been family owned and operated since 1994 by Sharon and Peter Buxbaum. We are active owners; on-​site everyday with our children and teachers. We are very proud to provide the most innovative facilities and effective educational programs for children 6 weeks through 12 years of age. We serve the Oviedo, Winter Springs, and East Orlando area by providing the educational foundation that is not provided with typical Oviedo childcare or daycare services.

Our sincere love for children and strong belief that they should have a solid foundation make us the perfect choice for your family‘s childcare needs. Our center is approximately 15,000 square feet with 10 classroom suites, a cafeteria, a large activity gym for before and after school students, and 4 large play areas separated for age groups.

Peter and Sharon Buxbaum — Owners/​Directors

Sharon began her career in Child Care when she was only 15, as a summer camp counselor at a Pre-​School in Brooklyn, New York. She continued along the path of her passion while obtaining her degrees in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Development, and Reading Specialty at the City University of New York. She worked for the New York City Board of Education as a Teacher, Reading Specialist, and Child Assessment Coordinator. After relocating to Florida, she took time to raise her children, becoming active in their school and local philanthropy before taking over as Owner/​Director of Kids ‘R’ Kids Academy. Since then, the last 19 years have brought many challenges and rewards, but nothing matches the feeling of watching the children flourish and successfully go out into the world with the solid foundation that we continue to provide here at Kids ‘R’ Kids Academy.
