The food is subpar and over-priced. The burger tastes about like what you would get at DairyQueen but twice the price. The waitress was nice. She provided decent service. The cost is due to location. Downtown is nice, food not so much.

Holding to the premise that when you review a restaurant you should base your review on the ability of the establishment to deliver according to what you expect walking in the door. When I arrived in Owensboro KY I loved the amount of mom and pop restaurants in town. Bee Bops came highly recommended from a local police officer who was kind enough to recommend a few places(depending on what we were craving). After reading the reviews prior to visiting we almost passed. My family and I are quite glad we didn’t. Not wanting anything more than a local diner experience I can honestly tell you that our experience was first rate. Not only did Bee Bops deliver on what you would expect from this sort of diner, they went above and beyond in terms of service and quality. I ordered the Rueben. The pastrami was fresh sliced to order, they didn’t skimp on the grilled onions and it was served on delicious marbled rye. The service was fast, attentive and friendly. We got a chance to talk to the cook who was working right in front of us and was nice enough to turn around and say Hi. Come to find out it was his first day at Bee Bops. All around it was everything we expected and would have been a 5 star mom and pop diner experience had it not been for the limited kids menu and the lackluster mini corn dogs. Though kids were free that night it would have been nice to see a turkey sandwich or something different for my kids to choose from. I have no problem awarding a four star rating and will certainly be stopping back in now and then for another one of their incredible Reubens and a shake. Thanks Bee Bops !

Went there for breakfast and was very dissatisfied the eggs were crispy, the potatoes, called home fries were right out of the freezer and into the deep fryer. The staff was not friendly at all they acted like it was a bother to have to wait on me, never once did any one smile, not even the owner when I paid my bill she did not even ask me to come back, which I never will

This is a totally food quality to cost ratio rating here. Please note that the staff was very friendly and attentive but it was just not really my cup of tea food wise. French fries were obviously frozen from a bag and the Sandwich was somewhat hard to eat as the bun was flimsy and everything kept falling out. The Good: We did however get in and out within 30 minutes. The Bad: With a tip I ended up spending $ 12 on something I could have gotten from Wendy’s at an equal quality for less than half the price.

Food was amazing for the price. Good portions for what you pay for. Waitress was a lil slow but having the cook ask how food was made things a lil better. Very clean and the music was perfect for the place as well. We will be back.

The food was ok. We had burgers and a milkshake. The burgers had a decent flavor, nothing exceptional. The fries were of the frozen variety. The milkshake was good, but could have been better in a stainless cup to keep it really cold. Our server was friendly and attentive. The experience was just ok and was missing the wow factors. I was disappointed to hear top 40 music, rather than 50’s music since it is suppose to be a 50’s diner. I would like the staff to wear 50’s attire, as well. There were a few 50’s pics hanging in the walls, but no jukebox. Everything was ok, but could have been much better with a few adjustments.

Went here the other day with my son. Ordered fried pickles, cheese steak, hot dog, and a strawberry shake for us to split because I had heard they were supposed to be great. Now please understand that I don’t think the food was bad it was just… ok, nothing really special. I thought it was disgusting that while they were still serving people coming in the door they were scrapping the wall with the very same metal spatula that I had seen them preparing my sandwich with a few minutes earlier. I don’t think they reused the spatula to cook anything else with(or at least I hope they didn’t) but it was still gross thinking that some dirt or grime had possibly fallen onto the adjacent griddle where they were still cooking, possibly contaminating another patrons food. As far as the service goes it left a lot to be desired. The waitress never once came back to fill up our drinks and she completely forgot our strawberry shake. The décor was the best part of our experience, it looks like they really put a lot of effort into it. Everyone I have talked to has good things to say about this establishment so I hope my visit was just a fluke but I had to be honest with my review
