I’d say about 3 ½ stars, but okay with giving 4. I used to live in Milford which has some great delis, as does Stratford, so since I’ve moved to this area it is very difficult to find a solid deli. I was driving to Nardellis one day, and spotted this place out of the corner of my eye, so I turned around and went on in. I’m glad I did because these guys make some good sandwiches. I could never figure out why it’s so difficult to find a reliable deli, but these guys fit the bill.

Great deli. They make your food fresh and use quality ingredients. I’ve never been disappointed when I go.

So in the last 2 yrs I’ve tried this place 3 times and its always been a disappointment. Sandwiches are half heartlessly made. Ingredients and sides like broccoli rabe or chix cutlets don’t seem to be made fresh. maybe they just don’t have the volume to make them daily. Staff always seems to be part time and not greatly invested in the quality of product they are giving u. For a true taste of the Bronx I have to make the trek to either of the GAETANOS delis. It’s too bad, I Really wanted this place to be delicious…

I love this little deli! When I worked in Oxford, sometimes I would leave for work a little early and stop here and grab lunch for myself. Amazing food! The sandwiches are amazing, they have a vast array of things you can choose from. The salads are HUGE and worth their weight in gold. The staff is super friendly and are patient while your trying to figure out what you want. Their selection of desserts are huge and they will suggest things to you if you don’t really know what you want. The sandwiches are huge as well and a half usually fills me up. Awesome location, great hours. They are a *tad* bit pricey, but I’ll pay a good amount of money for a REAL deli sandwich anyday.

Came in for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. Sandwich bread and meat were fresh and delicious. And there was a lot of meat on both mine and my brother’s sandwich.

This place is bomb. Got myself the spicy chicken grinder. It came on a very fresh sesame seed grinder roll w/chicken cutlet, hot peppers, mayo, veggies, cheese, hot sauce. There may have been a fried egg on the sandwich too but I was eating it too quickly to notice. Everything was super fresh. I’ve been a Shelton resident for 4 years and this is by far the best deli I’ve been to in the valley. I’m not sure how the Nardelli’s across the street makes any money with these guys around. Quality-wise, this place is on par with Gaetano’s in Stratford. bronx far superior to nardelli’s, supersandwich, etc. I’ll have to try a hard roll sandwich the next time as some other reviews are raving about them.

This is a real NY/CT deli. Hard rolls — awesome; Boar’s head meats and cheeses; and the girl behind the counter has that no nonsense east coast attitude that I appreciate so much considering I am born and raised in CT. My husband and I discovered this place on accident. He went in to see if they had fountain soda, which they did not but he spotted the hard rolls and told me how nice they looked. The next day we went back — nothing says you’re in CT than getting an egg and cheese on a hard roll for breakfast. After being very pleased with our choice, my husband decided to go again a few hours later for lunch. He ordred the chicken breast sammy and was again very happy. From that day forward we stopped at the Bronx Deli almost daily. We even introduced this place to my grandmother who lives right up the street and had never been there yet. She, too, is now a fan and buys her hard rolls there along with their fresh made soups. I have to agree with other reviewers that say this is the best deli in Oxford. Kicks Nardelli’s ass.

I’ll keep this review short… this is an amazing deli… Fantastic ingredients, freshly made sandwiches and crunchy/airy bread. Homemade soups, good service.

Incredible mouth-watering sandwiches. Whoever invented their sandwiches is genius. Best, tastiest food in the area by a long shot. They take sandwiches to a whole joyous new level! Staff is also very friendly. Its always a pleasurable experience coming here for lunch. I’ve tried quite a few sandwiches here so far, each as droolworthy as the last! Love, love, love this place!!!
