My car started thumping and jerking while coming home from work on the 101
I thought my transmission was going out. My daughter tells me it could be needing a tune-​up
I called Dobs and spoke to Memo who right away told me to come in
On my way over, my engine light turns on. I’m panicking. I’m worried it’s going to cost a whole lot! I don’t know these mechanics. I get there and I notice right away the shop was spotless. I was like Wow, nice! I go up to the counter and speak to Memo. He was very kind and courteous. They kept my car and do a diagnostic check, even gave me a ride home!
It ends up my spark plugs needed to be gapped. He tells me everything comes out fine and all I owe is the diagnostic check. I was so relieve! I had to repeat again to him — all I owe you is the diagnostic check? I will surely recommend them to anyone that needs work on their car as well as myself. I will be back that’s for sure! Car broke down. Wasn’t sure where to go. Hard for me to trust mechanics. Asked my dad where to go. His military buddies trust this place and they come to see an awesome mechanic named Memo. They were able to fix my car in the same day. Changed my spark plugs, ignition coils, pcv valve, front brakes and rotors, tune up, and changed the front struts. All for a great price. Today was a good day for me. I know where I will recommend when someone asks… Dob’s!!!

I have been going to Dob’s for a couple of years now and they are extremely good and most importantly very honest. I have a Mercedes and that model and brake system is very complicated and expensive but their prices are beyond reasonable. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a honest and reputable service station.

I had a blow out on the 101 near Oxnard. It severed my brake line so i had to get it fixed before driving home to LA. I called several places in the area. All were rude saying they couldn’t see me even though it was an emergency and refused to give me referrals.
When the people at Dob’s answered the phone they were great! Told me to come right over. I got there and in 3 hours I had new tire, caliper, and a repaired brake line. I was very happy with their service. Thank you for helping me in a pinch

I have been going to Dobs, in Oxnard, for a few years now. I cannot say enough great stuff about Dobs and their staff. They are honest, fast, reliable, and one of the most ethical Auto service businesses around. I have referred them to my entire family and my friends as well. They are a lot less expensive than bringing your car to the dealerships for repairs and service. They are honest, and don’t try to sell you parts or services that you don’t need. Memo, Matt and the staff are fantastic. Save yourself a lot of time, money and hassle, and bring your car to Dobs, because you can definitely count on a great experience.

This proves good customer service, but I question some of their work. I brought in my Honda to have V-​Tech selenoid replaced. Instead they replaced the head gasket. (My fault I did not read the receipt/​order). When later found out the mistake and called to inquire, the person who answered the phone said «what is a V-​Tech?» That lost all credibility for me. However, the owner stepped in and did a compromise and gave me a partial refund of $ 100. (Honda dealer charged $ 184 for the V-​Tech). I felt that was fair of them.

I love the friendly service and reasonable prices. I have been a loyal customer for a couple of years now. They are very honest and I have never been lied to about what services my car needs. They also have very good coupons on the penny saver and they always honor them. I always call them with questions about my car and they are always happy to assist me. I am so happy with the services provided at Dob’s I would never go anywhere else to get any work done on my car. Memo the manger is awesome, friendly and reasonable! I highly recommend Dob’s!
