Horrible, horrible, horrible.
When I got there, there was no one at the counter for about 20 minutes, so I had to wait for that period of time with all the others like me. I went to get a simple oil change, and the process went smoothly for the first half.
However, after waiting a little while, the guy comes up to me and tells me that my car only takes synthetic oil (which it doesn’t), so he was obviously trying to scam me into buying the more expensive oil. Then I thought about it and was like why not? I’ll just do synthetic and drive a little longer before my next oil change. I ended up paying little less than double, and he gave me a receipt that literally just says the price and nothing else. There wasn’t a list of the checks he did or any type of description of the work he did (which almost every other place does). This was bad on my part, but I didn’t check the new mileage of the car and went home. I check after I got home, and found that the new mileage is how much I would’ve gotten from a normal oil change and not synthetic change!
So this guy literally made me pay for synthetic and gave me regular oil (5w30 or whatever he put in there if he even put anything in there). Then he gave me a sketchy receipt so I can’t argue that I got ripped off. Everything was planned to rip me off from the beginning. Well, he lost someone that could’ve been a regular customer for that extra measly 20 bucks he scammed me for.
Good job Oxnard Car Wash & Lube, you got me. But I won’t be going back.

Rude rude rude!!! From the start, I asked for no air freshener, got «I don’t care!!!» response. 2 cars went in front of me cutting out in line. I asked for a copy of my receipt — got something ««@&))($» in foreign language. … The list goes on… Don’t waste your time, go somewhere else

OWNER/​MANAGER (?) TRIED TO RIP ME OFF!
Outside they advertise $ 6.99 exterior car wash. I have a truck so I was told $ 9.99, given a ticket showing $ 9.99. Wash took 30 minutes, as I waited, I saw a man in the oil change bay sleeping in a car. A few minutes later when my truck was ready, I go to pay and that same man who was «napping», was at the register and charged me $ 13.99. I responded no and he explained to me that the exterior wash price was ONLY if I drove it through the wash. Umm… no, nice try. He then tried to say that I was given the deluxe wash and that the attendant made a mistake. I said, «No you made the mistake thinking you could rip me off, being about 6’2 and over 250 lbs, he eventually backed off his stance and acted like he was doing me a favor by only charging me $ 9.99 for an exterior wash. Do not go here. I wonder how many people they rip off like this, people who are afraid to stand up to this bullcrap!

The owner is the reason this place has bad reviews! Horrible service, rude, don’t take your car here! Stay away!

Awful service. I paid for the super clean package $ 29.99 and they cleaned outside but inside still dirty. They didn’t vacuum.

I haven’t been to this car wash in years. I don’t know what happened, but the owner is real grouchy now. He yelled at me for pulling my car into the car wash wrong, when HE was the one who guided me! Then, he charged me $ 9.99 because I had an SUV, which was expected, but my car, after it was supposedly «cleaned» and «hand washed», looked like how it looks like when I go through the car wash at Costco. I even tipped the guy who hand dried my car $ 5 thinking that they did a great job with my car. However, as soon as I got home, I saw my car. My rims were still dirty. My trunk was still dirty. There were still dead bugs all over my hood. My windows were still filthy. Please don’t go to this car wash. They used to have great service a few years go… But now, its not even worth the money. STAY AWAY!

So I usually go to California car wash which is awesome but farther than I would like to drive. I have been seeing this place on my way to ca car wash so decided to save myself some drive time and try them out. I drive up, no one is out there to greet me or ask what wash I wanted… ok well maybe their busy. Walk in and tell the man I would like a bronze car wash. Not one word to me, he walks out, I follow him and hands me a ticket. I head back inside and stand at the desk so I can pay. Ummm from all my car wash experiences you pay first then you wait right? As I’m standing there he comes back inside and still not one word from him. I politely ask him «excuse me, do I pay now or after?» He responds «what’s the difference?» And I say «I guess there isn’t a difference, I’m just asking» he says «I’m just asking too» with a jerk face attitude! Omg! Wtf! Did he really just talk to me like that? I’m in the service industry and I would never talk to a customer like that! So now I’m pissed. And I’m waiting for 15 mins, no one is at my car yet. My son asks me to buy a drink and I said «no, I’m not spending any money here» I walk out to my car, get my son in the car and the owner is running out saying «señora, there coming out for your car» I told him «I’m going somewhere else» he asks for my ticket and give him the one that was on the car. He ask for the first one he gave me and I told him «no, I’m not giving you anything, I’m out of here!» asshole! In this economy there is no room for error!

These guys saved me at LEAST $ 15 on my oil change. My car needs synthetic and Jiffy Lube was quoting $ 89! Even with their coupon of $ 18 off, Oxnard Car Wash & Lube was a deal! No coupon needed here. AND they throw in a full car wash for only $ 7 when you get an oil change. No brainer. Friendly staff too.

when I arrived at there were two cars in front of me. It took them an hour and 20 minutes to wash my car all they did was vacuum and wash. When I pulled up I asked them to vacuum the trunk along with the inside. I was sitting with my daughter while they were vacuuming my car and I noticed the guy wasn’t going to vacuum the trunk. So I picked up my daughter and headed to my car the guy got in and drove off. I went inside to the owner and asked could you please have them vacuum my trunk. The owner he yelled at me that I should’ve ran to the person and told him myself and that he’s a busy man and doesn’t have time for this. literally yelled at me in front of other clients. Then he went to the the guy that was driving my car told him to vacuum it. Then came over to me and said «are you happy now»! Very very rude will never go back there again. There was still bird poop on my windshield. They didn’t even do a good job for the time they were working on it. My car wasn’t that bad too.

My mom & I went to wash her car this past weekend and she had the most awful experience with the owner. She had picked out an air freshner for her car but noticed that no one was inside (the owner was doing an oil change). So she placed the air freshner on the table where you’d normally pay. Well the owner walks in and asks who this air freshner belongs to… my mom replies «that’s the one I chose, I’d like to pay for it.» The owner throws it on the end of the table and asks if my mom is getting her car washed there. Um? Of course she is why would she just be waiting in there for nothing. He was extremely rude. My mom even spoke to one of the workers there and they said they are so fed up with him because he treats them like dirt and belittles them. I’ve had another bad experience with the owner before this incident as well but thought maybe I’d give him the benefit of the doubt and give him another chance. This was his second chance and he blew it. Car washes are a dime a dozen, there’s no way my mom or I would ever come back here just to be disrespected.

Service is terrible. Grouchy owner. I complained about the cost of their lowest tiered car wash, Bronze Package. He acted surprised and said that his prices were pre-​poor economic times. Really? Has he been living in a cave!!! I had just left a 10.99 place because the lines were reaching the street! Then, he allows another car to cut in front of me… I’m never returning here!

If I could leave NO stars I would, but the wash itself was good, my problem was with the owner. He is an ignorant man, who all he did we my mom wanted to treat me to a wash on my new car, all he did was badger us. When my mom mentioned this was for my birthday, he mentioned, «is that all your gonna do for him?» Then he continued to say, «oh just give me your whole wallet!» I understand that he was joking, however this is not how you conduct yourself in a business, nor how you talk to your clients, who are paying you for a service. Later while I waited for my car, he continued to talk to us in the waiting room, and ask what our race was, we stated we are Filipino, and he said, «oh they sleep with everybody»! I was amazed that a business owner would openly have no problem stating his personal option openly. All we wanted to do is have our car washed, my mom wanted to do something nice for my birthday, and the last thing we needed was to be badgered about who we are, and or what package was appropriate for me to get. Highly unprofessional and I do not recommend this place. The guys who washed my car did a good job, band tipped accordingly, however my experience here was unpleasant.

Owner was complaining on the phone about his bills while customers were waiting. I and another gentleman were charged extra for things we didn’t ask for. Car wash workers do a good job. Left them a tip.

Drove up just looking to get a quick car wash since the inside of my car was cluttered from a weekend of errands.
One of the workers was visibly smoking a cigarette, launched it and then sat in my car. I detest smoking, I really hope my car doesnt smell like an ash tray. Owner was very rude, I asked how much it would be and he quoted me for an interior and exterior job which I didn’t want and told him. His response «Why?» I shouldn’t be questioned or guilted into doing certain things as a customer. There are various other ways to upswell services and products. After we agreed on a package he gave me no direction on where to go or what to do next so I awkwardly stood by my car before ambling inside. I’m currently sitting outside watching him take a nap at the counter. -.- I’d upload a picture but I’m sure that’d be defamation of character or something of the like~

«You pay for the gold and in cash. I have to make money.» Yeah, no thanks. I was with my sister, she had no idea the place was closed. Umm, could’ve just said you were closed in the first place instead of saying that to have us go away.

Took my car in on a Tuesday and told them I wanted the 6.99, at the counter he asked if I wanted the tires armor all’d I said what’s the price for that he said 12.99. I don’t know about you but I’m not paying 6 dollars for just the tires. I said I just want the 6.99. So he told me you must drive through yourself, ok not a problem. Well let’s say a quick pressure washed car, hard dry brush and some soap suds is all you get for 6.99. I now have spider web looking swirls on my car. Guess I got what I payed for. So I strongly recommend another place for a quick hand wash.

The car wash itself is okay, but the owner is very rude and inconsistent with the prices of the car wash. Today I went in for my third time and was charged an extra $ 3. I asked about it and the owner said that SUVs and trucks are extra. I told him that the other two times I got the same wash and wasn’t charged extra (I drive a SUV). That’s not all. The second time I went here for a car wash, I asked about shampooing car seats. He wanted to charge me $ 70 for the car seats alone. Like I said, the wash itself is decent, but the owner can be sketchy about the prices so be careful.
Update: The owner came up to me after the initial posting and showed me a very small sign that says washes are $ 3 extra for SUVs and trucks. I pretty much laughed in his face because the actual price is scratched off so you can’t see it. I should also mention that when I indicated the type of wash I wanted, I said the basic $ 13.99 wash and he didn’t mention an extra charge. It’s only $ 3, but I like giving my business to honest people. I won’t be coming back here.

Great service, car came out very clean. Will come back again.

The Car Wash Was good. But the manager or owner stood around smoking so your stuck in your car smelling cigarettes. Than I asked him if it rained if they would was it again and he said bring it back and pay me again and I will. What a fucking asshole!

I’ve had great car washing experiences here at Oxnard Car Wash & Lube – both most recently and a year ago.
During my most recent experience, I had the car wash that was $ 19.99. My vehicle was thoroughly cleaned inside and out. 45 minutes later I had my vehicle back clean, shiny, wheels and rims nicely glistening, and the interior spotless. Would definitely go here again.
