Great food, good atmosphere. Friendly employees and all that. Only issue I’ve had is with consistency – sometimes my sandwich is fantastic, while other times it’s missing ingredients or is put together sloppily. Wait times are usually pretty long, so take-out orders from the phone or internet are a good idea. For a cheapish lunch, there’s nothing in the immediate area that can keep up. Edit: It seems as though some of the kitchen folks make certain dishes their own way. Asking for«extra» of whatever you care about is the way to go. For example, with the Chicken Ranch sandwich sometimes there is little to no buffalo sauce. Asking for extra buffalo sauce while ordering solves my problem. 5 stars; consistency is only a minor issue.

After searching on Unilocal for a place to grab lunch nearby, I found this gem. I was somewhat skeptical about coming here just cause of their location but when I walked in, I completely fell in love with the place. It is very nicely decorated and you would never think it looks so pretty in inside! I mentioned to my co-worker that I felt like I was in San Francisco. Then we spoke to the owner for a little while and she mentioned she was from SF! What a coincidence! Anyway… onto my review… I ordered the chicken pesto and a garden salad and my co-worker the bbq chicken. They both were really good. I really enjoyed their fries too. I really wish they were able to do ½ sandwich ½ salad cause their sandwiches are very big but I’m not complaining, just think they should have that option. The salsa for the chips is sooooo good and spicy, I had to put some on my sandwich! yummmm… okay…I’m sooooo stuffed right now. Feel like a need a nap after this delicious meal. Anyway, friendly staff, good food, close to work, I will be going back and trying something else.

I’ve eaten here twice and it is okay. I don’t think it is anything special.

I wanted something really fast and close by to the school, but I didn’t want any fast food. Pregnant and trying to stay healthy I gave this place a try. They are only open until three but they are convenient for anyone who has lunch time. Prices are really good and the food is filled with excellent flavor. I never had a sandwich so flavorful. They also give you chips and salsa as an appetizer and they have daily specials. I enjoy coming here.

Been here about 4 to 6 times now in last 3 months and out of all those times my first time was my only good expirence. Every time I had came to this restaurant I always have to wait a while. Once my pancakes where not even cook all the way .and I just left right now very upset I wasted 25 min for a damn burrito. Gonna stop coming here for a while. Good food tho. Started coming again and bumped my rating 2 stars. Great service and good food

Unfamiliar with the area, I was looking for a joint that served breakfast. My family and I had been traveling north on PCH. This location came up as the nearest. While it is hidden, it’s a real GEM! One of the best Mexican breakfast I’ve had. Great service, delicious food, and cheap! Highly recommend!

The outside of the pacific café is deceiving, you walk in to find a decently sized café with very friendly staff. I’m giving this place five stars for the great customer service, and the best chicken quesadilla I have ever had. Seriously! The best ever. I’m only in oxnard a little while, but I will be back!

Surprisingly yummy. Totally a hole in the wall, took me a minute to find it. I got a Cilantro Salad and switched the chicken for shrimp — you can do this on any of the salads which is a huge plus for us pescetarians. My salad was HUGE(like could feed me for the next three days) and only around 7 bucks. That’s a pretty good deal. The service was fabulous, everyone was beyond friendly. My only negative is it needs a bit of fresh air circulating up in there! It was a little stuffy in there and I came out smelling like fried food.

I saw the pictures and read the reviews. Had the Chicken Pesto sandwich and I was so, so unbelievably disappointed… Maybe the chef was having an «off» day? My sandwich was laden with grease/butter. I enjoy food, but I guess I may need to try something else next time. I did try their home made salsa which was very, very good! So, again, maybe the chef had an «off» day. I know of a lot of folks that eat at Pacific Café, and their reviews can’t all be wrong… I’ll give this place another chance. Call in your order if your in a hurry. Cozy, casual place.

Both the food and the service here are fantastic! The few times I’ve worked in Oxnard, having breakfast and/or lunch at Pacific Café has been a definite highlight. Carmen and her staff are just the best. Always friendly, no matter how busy it is. And, the food is always fresh and delicious. I can’t wait to go back!

This café is close to where I work, so that’s a huge plus personally. A mix of the usual diner fare and some tasty Mexican dishes are served. I had a delicious chicken caesar salad this afternoon, with fresh lettuce and tender chicken on top. Their regular staff is very friendly and chatty, speaking English or Spanish. Definitely a great lunch spot, but they also serve breakfast(including a killer bagel sandwich with ham/egg/cheese/onions/etc).
