Yummm! Custard with anything is amazing. Custard and a donut or custard and coke. You can’t go wrong either way. I initially went here wanting the maple bacon donut with custard, but it wasn’t on the menu. Which left me disappointed. However, they had the red velvet donut ice cream sandwich on the menu, so I gave that a try. I’m not a fan of red velvet, but I loved the thick and creamy custard. I got a custard with coke. That was pretty good! They use the same custard and give you a whole bottle of coke, so you can pour it into the custard after your cup runs out of coke. After a while, the straw started getting soggy and I couldn’t sip the coke out, so I had to scoop it out with a spoon. I loved their vintage theme and the man at the counter was so friendly. The only thing is that it’s pretty pricy for what you get:/ i don’t know if it’s worth the money, but it’s still delicious!

I saw a picture on Facebook about 6 months or so ago and knew I had to try it. lucky for me, I was scheduled for a trip to the area. I told my husband I didn’t need to see anything in DC but I needed to make it to Goodies. from California to DC for a donut custard sandwich and it totally did not disappoint. the custard was AMAZING, smooth and creamy. there entire thing was perfect. I had the red velvet custard sandwich. my husband had a sundae that was equally wonderful. Got to meet Brandon for a few minutes and even though her was busy he took the time to talk to us for a bit. the service was spot on and the product was perfection. do yourself a favor and stop in. support your local small business, and have an amazing treat. thank you Goodies! can’t wait to come bank for more! sending you some Cali Love!

As stated many times over, I’m really a sucker for good service. Being greeted immediately, offered samples, followed up with… I mean, even if the product isn’t all that great, at least you get a great experience. That last part isn’t the case with Goodies though, their custard is what dreams are made of. Rich, smooth and creamy with plenty of toppings(e.g. strawberries, chocolate, caramel, cookies and cream, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Heath, and more!). Not to mention freshly baked donuts, bread pudding and other favorites like banana pudding and cookies!!! **(Call ahead or follow their social media for daily goods) Goodies serves their custard in little waxed boxes, perfect for warm donuts and frozen centers. YUM. Their claim to fame is their milky red velvet donut, which I haven’t tried, but must do in the very near future. Milk shakes, sundae’s and floats are also featured attractions. I had such a hard time ordering that my mom walked to Starbucks and back before I finally made my order. The outcome… a caramel sundae with pralines… so good. I can’t imagine what will be the outcome upon my arrival on a day when their maple bacon donut is a feature. I can just hear my future excuse for such gluttonous behavior when asked why I chose it…“but, bacon,” will be my response(game plan set). Moral of this review: 1. If you see a truck, run to it and get in line. 2. Don’t think about calorie counts, just eat it. 3. Good service will always get my business 4. Red Velvet, Bacon, Pralines… I mean…
