This review is for Daniela, the esthetician working at Salon Texture. I’ve been going to her several months now to get my eyebrows waxed, and she always does an amazing job and is so nice. She always listens to exactly what I want and is extremely thorough, going the extra mile to make sure I’m happy with the results. Such a cute salon! Allison did my hair and did a phenomenal job! My hair was so damaged and she made it feel so healthy and it looked so good! I would definitely recommend her to anyone whose looking to get their hair done!

LOVE DANA! If you are a blonde looking for a great, vibrant color you need to book Dana (the owner)! I have been going to her for the past 7yrs and always LOVE my hair color. She is very reasonably priced too, a cut/​color is around $ 120ish

Daniela is great! I’ve been to her for facials, peels, and waxes… she’s fantastic at everything and she really takes her time. She uses great products and with her I always get great results, I love her, she’s the best! Easy to schedule with and like the environment too!

Dana has been doing my hair for about ten years & she is great! My hair always feels fresh when I leave, the color is so close to looking natural that I am able to last longer between visits.

I am one of the many women in San Diego who, as a transplant, has been in the long and agonizing search for MY hairdresser, and I finally found her. HOKU IS AMAZING. She studied at the Gene Juarez Academy in Seattle, which if you have ever been to a Gene Juarez salon you would understand why they are one of the top tier schools in the country. And it shows in her work; she is very precise in her craft and I never have to worry about how my hair will turn out. My hair is healthier and more perfect than it has been in years. She has such a huge wealth of knowledge when it comes to beauty which makes you instantly feel at ease in her care. Not only is she a rock star at hair she’s also the easiest person to get along with! I am always greeted with a warm smile and a big hug when I walk through the door, you can’t help but smile and laugh while you’re in her chair. She helps me stay on top of the trends because she always knows the latest craze but also she knows what would look best on me. She always makes sure I’m happy with how it turns out and there’s no question that I’m always ecstatic with the results. If you were like me and are still searching for your forever hairdresser call Hoku, she’s the best!

I went back for a color touch up with Hoku and I was very happy (as usual). This salon is very comfortable with easy parking and awesome stylists (Hoku is my favorite and I consider her a friend now).
She took extra time to straighten my hair perfectly after. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Dana is amazing! I am very picky about who I work with in all areas of my life and Dana has been my hair stylist for over 12 years. I have followed her in many different salons where she developed he skills and clientele. She has owned this salon for 5+ years and is not only a great stylist she is a great a fantastic business woman.

I love the atmosphere and the vibe you get when you walk into Salon Texture. More importantly, I love Hoku, my new hairstylist. She made me feel so comfortable and when I told her what I wanted, she didn’t chop my hair off as others in the past I’ve been to. She listened and explained exactly what she was doing while cutting my hair.
I’ve been to a lot of hairstylist in my years but I’ve never felt as comfortable and happy with the outcome of my service with Hoku. Call her and make an appointment today.

Why this salon (and Hoku in particular) are great: it’s super cute inside; they offer you wine or champagne; the people that work there are really welcoming; and they have a large, open parking lot.
Hoku has been my hair stylist for a couple of years now and I love her work. I followed her from her last salon because she consistently does an excellent job on my cuts and color. Besides always being extremely meticulous with my hair, she is a super warm person whom I always enjoy chatting with during my visits to the salon.

I’ve lived in San Diego now for four years and I’ve been disappointed by a good handful of stylists. If this sounds familiar, look no further! I’ve seen Hoku two times now, once for a cut and once for a balyage, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. She knows what she’s doing and will take great care of you from start to finish. My hair is thick and long, which takes hours to color and cut. However we held great conversation the whole time, I felt like I was at home with one of my girl friends. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Daniela C is the BEST. Best facial ever, best eyebrow shaping ever. After the facial, you feel clean and NOT beat up.

I followed Hoku here from Ulta Salon. Got a great cut as usual… Was very easy to find and had plenty of parking. Extremely happy that Hoku is now closer to me and in her own space

Daniela is AMZAING!!! She is by far the BEST at spray tanning. Extremely accommodating, efficient and consistent. I will not go to anyone else but her.
I’m addicted to spray tanning. My philosophy is: Sun tanning is temporary and wrinkles are forever!
She uses SunFX for spray tanning. I have tried almost every product out there and SunFX is the BEST! Its organic based and she creates a custom blend. Many other tanners can be orange and uneven AND SMELL horrible — Not SunFX. It is amazing.

I’ve been getting my hair cut with Jenni for close to 10 years. I’ve never been dissatisfied and when she does my high lights, they look amazing even after they’ve grown out for more than 6 months. I’ve followed her from OB to PB and at her latest location.

My g/​f uses this salon and I love it! She had her hair colored a beautiful shade of red that came out stunning! Lindsey is so damn nice! She’s my kind of people! Great place! I highly recommend to other guys that have a girl that needs some hair attention! :) sexy!

Dana– Excellent Stylist. I have very fine hair and her cuts are always perfect. She is an expert colorist as well. She has taken me through dramatic high lights and low lights to natural blonde. She’s busy though so book in advance!
Daniela– Wonderful Esthetician. I have been waxed, spray tanned and facialed by her and happy with each visit. She uses an organic line of face products which I really appreciate.

I was very disappointed with the service here, especially with the good Unilocal reviews.
Let’s start with the lack of professionalism.
On the day I went to the salon they did not have a receptionist so one of the hairdressers needed to dash over to the phone whenever it rang. When I entered the salon I had to stand there for a few minutes before I was even greeteed and then was told to go sit down and someone would be with me in a very bored manner.
When I called initially I asked to deal with someone who was experienced with color. How surprising the hairdresser recommended herself and rattled off her schooling and her 17 years of experience. Her name was Jenny.
While I waited for my appointment, as well as during my appointment, there was a stream of friends of the salon hairdressers that came in. Several didn’t even have appointments they just were there drinking beer before their big night out. They were all laughing about a girl who was drinking champagne while she was driving to the salon. When the girl arrived she made a huge deal about needing to pee after drinking so much champagne on the drive. Super classy.
The place was slow, especially for a friday afternoon so another friend came in. One of the other hairdressers began discussing a sikin issue she had and then had the guy give her massage in the back room. I understand this stuff happens, it’s one of the perks of the salon and such, but I didn’t have to hear about it.
Finally, to the actual appointment.
My hairdresser was Jenny and she couldn’t have been more bored with my appointment. She hardly asked me any questions about what I wanted and i did my best to explain it to her. I even brought in a photo of what I wanted and she barely looked at it.
During the appointment she hardly made conversation with me at all. She seemed more concerned about talking with her friends about planning for a trip to Cancun for a friends wedding than with taking care of her client. Honestly, I wouldn’t care about how much she talked to me if she did a good job on my hair, but I was disappointed with that too.
The cut was quite good actually but the color left MUCH to be desired. She could tell I was disappointed with it immediately and told me to sleep on it and come back if I still didn’t like it.
After that appointment I will never go back again.
