Window treatments go back to the very earliest of times. Prior to the Romans who were the first to have glazed windows the average treatment was an animal hide to cover the hole in the wall perhaps the original fun fur. Windows allow ventilation, natural light, the ability to see out but unfortunately the ability to see in. So the window treatment as we know it today started its course, Kings, Queens, the very rich could enjoy the silks and brocades that the ordinary folks could only look at in wonder, from the outside! but with the industrial revolution and global commerce every home can be decked out with some pretty regal treatments
