Fabulous selection of eyewear, knowledgeable and kind staff. Sent a couple of friends there and they agree this is the coolest place to get your eyeglasses. No pressure sales here; they want you to look and feel good. Found some beautiful new style Ray Ban sunglasses for under $ 120. Prescription lenses are perfect! Got 2 pair so far.

My husband has gotten two pairs of glasses here. I’ve gotten complimentary repairs on glasses I already owned. They are fabulous here. Very knowledgable, wonderful service, so friendly, great selection of glasses. I love having this shop in town!

My review was filtered! That never happens to me. Harumph! I bought a pair of Persol today after finding a picture of me 20 plus years ago in the Persol sunglasses I wore over a decade. I took the picture and lamented the oversized eyewear Prada saddled us with for years. Dad bought SALT glasses for 369 and complained bitterly, but his old man glasses were not fixable and I was delighted we were able to persuade him. I didn’t think Persol made anything like the 1990s styles but they have some styles more like my beloved post-cat eyes pair. The best part? They’re cheaper in 2014 than in 1996! It turns out that Persol used to be priced differently in every country. When a company bought Persol, they imposed a uniform price structure in all countries. Some models increased in price; some decreased. I had NO intention of buying a pair of glasses today. I just went in to get my vintage blue Persol tweaked. I bought them around the corner 2 or 3 years ago at the Cottage for just 58 and replaced the lenses early this year. I showed Scott the pictures and tried on a half-dozen pair. When I saw the price – 239 – I threw caution to the wind. Yosemite(see my recent list) was a cash hemorrhage. Ugh. So expensive but I got four or so blogs of material out of it and it was so beautiful I don’t regret going. But spending 260 after tax on glasses was so not on my agenda for today. I couldn’t pass them up and in the three or so hours since wearing them, I fall in love a little more with each passing minute. This is a superlative store. There is no reason to go inland to Beverly Hills, WeHo or Century City for eyewear. If you live west of the 405, come to Marc Michel. It’s the best.

Love this place! Marc and his assistants are really nice and considerate people. The selection is amazing and, especially Marc, can take one look at your face and find the pairs that look great.

This is the only place to go to for your eyewear! They were so patient with me. I was picking out my first pair of reading glasses and must have tried on every pair in the shop. I finally picked out a pair of faceaface glasses but then I drove the poor young woman behind the counter absolutely crazy with a million questions about to bifocal or not to bifocal. She was so sweet and patient the entire time.

I got a pair of Chloe sunglasses at Marc Michel and my fiancé got a pair of glasses by Salt Optics there. I’ve got a low bridge, and finding glasses or sunglasses hasn’t been easy for me in the past. It seemed pretty easy to find glasses at Marc Michel, though, because of two things: 1. the selection is really good, and 2. what’s better, the staff are knowledgeable, easy-going and professional. They could anticipate what would work for me pretty well before I even tried on a frame. On my second trip there, they had moved into an even bigger and newer space(next door? on the same street). They happily gave me a free cleaning and adjustment on the sunglasses, and they quickly and efficiently helped me to find a pair of Bevel Spectacles that worked well for my face. I didn’t get them b/c of the price, but I’ll keep them in mind for the next time I get a new pair of glasses. My comparisons shops are Eyes on Main, Montana Eyes, and Optical Shop of Aspen(all in Santa Monica). I realize that’s only 3 comparison shops. I’m not a connoisseur of optical establishments, so I hesitate to say«Woohoo! As good as it gets»(5 stars). That said, Marc Michel is definitely where I will go for glasses in the future!
