Description

Specialties

At Shamrock Ranch Kennels we provide large private heated inside accommodations with private outside runs.

Presently we offer optional leashed walks on the ranch property, and we will soon be offering daycare services with play groups and nature hikes. Our world class expert trainer can help your dog become a model canine citizen and strengthen the bond between you and your companion.

We have been in business for over 60 years and are still a family run business. Our fresh air and open space makes for a healthy and lower-stress environment than other boarding facilities and our caring and knowledgeable staff pay careful attention to the health and happiness of each guest.

History

Established in 1932.

Dana Denman currently owns Shamrock Ranch Kennels. She was born in San Francisco and raised here at Shamrock. Her parents bought Shamrock Ranch and after running a dairy farm, converted the barns into kennels because of her mothers love of dogs. Her fathers slogan was, «Going on vacation? Don’t leave your pet at home, send them to pet vacationland. Linda Mar Kennels.» Dana inherited the business and her mothers love of dogs. She is currently working alongside her daughter and son, keeping the passion for honest loving pet care alive at Shamrock.

Meet the Manager

Serena A.

Manager

Serena is the manager of Shamrock Ranch Kennels. She also happens to be the daughter of Dana Denman who owns Shamrock Ranch. Serena grew up working in the business and has done every job from walking dogs to now managing the kennels. She left the ranch to attend college at Humboldt State University. She completed a degree in Oceanography with a minor in Geology. You may wonder what this has to do with caring for dogs, and we would answer not much! But if you meet us you would understand that the love of the natural world that led her to study the sciences is also evident in the love she has for our canine companions. The sciences taught her to observe and be present and these are two of the most important qualities when it comes to caring for animals. She has a desire to share her time in the outside natural world with the dogs and has found her perfect place at Shamrock!
