Wow these guys are fantastic!
We had a situation going on in our backyard, and it could no longer be ignored.
What was once a lush green hedge quickly morphed into a gargantuan wall — and it was trying to eat our house.
We needed a reliable tree service team to come take care of the Goliath over grown hedge, trim a couple of trees, and remove a dying tree from the side of our home.
We went through another local tree service company in the past, but were disappointed with the work. We were a bit horrified at how one of trees looked after they left. I guess that’s why we procrastinated and put blinders on, as everything around our home grew in odd directions…
My husband reached out on a local app to see if anyone knew of a good tree service. Someone suggested Mac’s Tree Service, so I gave them a call.
We got a quote quickly even though they were booked up for 2 weeks. Now I know why they have such a busy schedule. Be patient as Mac’s is worth the wait.
It was a rainy morning and funky outside when the truck rolled up, but that didn’t slow them down one bit.
And did I mention how fast they got everything done?
I kid you not, my mail carrier hand deliver my mail as an excuse to tell me what a great job Mac’s was doing. She told me that they even swept up leaves around where they worked. She gave me her thumbs up and walked off.
We will definitely call upon Mac’s again. The price was fair and the work was great. They even fixed our poor tree that was hacked quite a bit by that other tree service while back :)

More stars for them. Amazing service. Thank you, thank you for chipping my tree branches. He took all the branches out to the front of the house. Chipped all the tree branches. They were very clean. After they took all my tree branches, he swept the back yard, side of the house and the front of the house like nothing happen. Thumbs Up. I will definitely recommend them and use them next time. Great job.

Mac’s Tree Service has been trimming my huge trees for years! His crew is always so polite, very careful of other plants, trees, and fences. The cleanup is AMAZING! Also, part of Mac’s crew, Nate Larsen, has been trimming our palm for 12 years. Mac’s is very affordable — a local guy that I highly recommend!

Steve was cutting a tree at my neighbors house and I thought it would be a great opportunity to have him look at my palm tree because I wanted to cut it down. He gave me a bid on the spot which was very reasonable. Because it was a heritage tree he told me I had to get a permit with the city of Pacifica and then he could cut it. The process was very easy and he was prompt at scheduling my tree to be cut down after I got the permit. I was very satisfied with his work. He was very careful not to damage anything when the pieces fell on the ground and he even got the stump removed. There was a pile of ground stump left and he came back and hauled it away exactly when he said he would. He is very honest and I would recommend him to all of my friends. In fact two of my friends already used him. GREAT SERVICE!

Macs tree service recently removed two large trees and trimmed several others. They were thoughtful, energetic and when they left the yard was very tidy. I would hire them again!

The Mac’s Tree Service just finished removing two huge, old pine trees from our yard. (They also removed two other trees, years ago. They did a good job years ago and that’s why we called them again.) Steve and his crew did a fantastic job of removal and clean up. Steve is very capable, personable, accommodating and prompt. And stayed within quote. I highly recommend him and The Mac’s Tree Service.

Steve does a great job. I’ve used other tree services before but will now only use The Mac’s Tree Service. VERY reasonablly priced and the jobs performed were as good or much better than other tree services I’ve tried.

GREAT SERVICE! price was more than fair. the energy they put into trimming my trees for ²¹⁄₂ days was amazing. they were very concerned about keeping neighbors yards clean during the trimming. I’ll hire them again in 15 – 20 years! GREAT JOB!

This is one of the best businesses in Pacifica! Steve McNicoll, of Mac’s is a hero after scaling our 60 year old huge pine tree, cutting gently and carefully around electrical and telephone wires, hanging and swinging on his climbing ropes to cut limbs and avoid any contact with cars and houses (the tree was right up on our house). He was very reasonable in price, had great helpers, cleaned up the yard and the street, hauled away all wood and trash and had a cousin stump remover come and grind out the stump in prep for the next tree, Steve is kind, charismatic and very brave! we photo documented his climbing and cutting in awe of his skills. call him, you won’t regret it!
