Andres Tire Service

Andres tire shop is a hidden gem within the valley. Nicest guy to deal with. Straight up and no B.S. Ive been going here for a couple of years now since living in PacTown. Ive now moved to LA, but once you find an honest tire guy, you should stick with him. Got a small nail or a screw lodged in my front left side and rolled by. i was looking for a specific size for my matching full size spare rim.(not donut spare). The spare tire had a directional tire mounted on it from previous owner, (single rim pick.a.part find), and i told him that i just needed one that was the same size. he brought out 2 used tires for me to choose from, while another guy went ahead and took flat one apart to patch it up. i chose one that had a bit more meat on it and told him to go ahead and change the spare tire out. he was about to mount the new used one, and then he stopped, and told me to wait. He went to his used stockroom, and told me that he has an exact model matching one, similar to the other 4 thats on my car. (Bridgestone Potenzas). Brought it out and showed me. gave it to me for the same price as he quoted me earlier. which was $ 35 bucks. All in all, used matching spare tire with the original patched up and ready to roll. $ 45 bucks! cant beat that with a bat! AWESOME! Quick tip, cash is king! –He’s a reasonable and fair guy, sometimes he will work with you, if your in a bind. i hope this helps you guys abit. i know it did for me.

The previous poster obviously works there. Here’s the truth about this place:
I found myself stranded with a blown up tire because of a disgustingly deep pothole found on the onramp of the 5 freeway at Osborne. I drove my 3 wheeled car over to Andres Tire service since it was the closest place available. It is run by a a group of well mannered gentleman. They were about to close and they said, «oh but we can get you another tire before we close!»
I was so happy.
They showed my broken tire to me and it had a huge hole that couldnt be patched. I expected that, and they offered me a used tire for 30 dollars that had nearly brand new tread on it. I couldn’t have been happier.
After the 20 minutes they took to put it on I drove away happy.
THE NEXT DAY I went to my car and noticed that the same wheel had a flat. I went to another local shop and they looked at it. These guys told me that the used tire I had purchased had an illegally patched sidewall. Sidewall patches are not safe and illegal and that tire should have never been sold to me.
I got a new tire and then took the illegal tire back to Andre’s and right when I pulled up he saw me. He walked inside into his office. While he was doing that I took the used/​illegal tire out of my car and rolled it up to their shop. He walks out with thirty dollars in his hand before I even said a word.
How sketchy is that? He said, «Ohhh tire no good eh!?»
I replied, «mhm.»
I walked away with my thirty dollars cash with the lesson that I will never go to another «Hole in the wall» stereotypical, tire shop again.
Stay away from this place because they have no problem selling you a dangerous vehicle part that could kill you in an accident just to make thirty dollars.

This place is awesome! i paid 25 $ for a used tire and have been driving it around for 2months now. They also offer patches and plugs for 8 $. They are always friendly and i appreciate their honesty.
I went in today because i got a nail in the used tire i had purchased from them just 2 months ago. The gentleman could have easily convinced me to buy another one to make more money, but instead was honest and assured me that a patch would be enough, and that the tire would last me at least another 600 miles.
im on a budget so anyone that saves me money deserves my business!
