My name is Tamas Chyba and I’m the owner and founder of Old World Stainers, Inc. I emigrated from Budapest, Hungary in 1979 and currently live in the Los Angeles area with my family.

Over 30 years ago, I first experienced the exquisiteness of working with wood. I was captivated by the beauty and unique characteristics of wood. I’m still amazed today with the beauty that nature creates and wood finishes that enhances and preserves the inner beauty of the wood.

Today, my team provides the highest quality of craftsmanship, dependability and long lasting special finishes for custom-​built cabinetry around the Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura County areas.
