If you are visiting the Big Island and want to experience a local town, where people know each other, while on the way to the black sand or green sand beaches or the coffee mill or the retreat center, then here you can get fresh fruit, drinks and snacks — provisions.

Located off highway 11 in the Pahala shopping center. This mini store is IT as far as getting groceries or snacks in Pahala. If you’re on the way to Kona, the next stop will be in Naalehu. As of this writing, the only other place you can get a snack is at the Ka’u Coffee Mill.
This family run store has been around since before I was born, and that was a long time ago. You can find a little of of everything here — tomatoes to ice cream to chips to milk.
If you need a snack before you stop at Punaluu Black Sand Beach (10 minutes south on Hwy 11), this is the place to be.
