After reading this newspaper review( ) and their facebook page reviews, I thought I’d try it out. Very disappointed. The least expensive thing on the menu was chips and salsa for $ 6. The article says a taco starts at $ 3 but I got one veggie taco and was charged $ 4. It was the tiniest taco I have ever seen. I was told it would be on a flour tortilla but it was on a tiny corn tortilla. The veggies were grilled in a lot of salt. It was the saltiest 2 bite taco I have ever eaten. To top off the experience, the woman who waited on me(Kathryn Luther in the news article, one of the owners) was not very nice at all from the get go. Not welcoming or friendly. They take cash-only so I dug up some change to pay for my tiny taco, 2 dollar bills and 8 quarters. When I handed the money to her, she actually sighed heavily and said«Jesus». Seriously? She was not at all friendly or hospitable but that comment took the cake. Sorry, but I will not ever go there again nor recommend it.

This little food truck is located next to Peach Street Distillery. How great is it to be able to eat while you are tasting all the good drinks! And I am a huge supporter of chef run businesses. We had brunch here and needed something to go with the Bloody Mary! Started with chips, salsa and queso. Chips were good. Not sure if house made or if made locally. They tasted as good as the ones I buy at La Milpa Tortilla Factory in GJ. The queso was very tasty to me(may be Velveeta — but that just makes it creamy). It seemed to have little bits of green chiles inside — as well as red chile. Sort of had a brick red overtone to the golden cheesiness. The salsa was more of a pico de gallo to me. Excellent and generous. I found my bliss by spooning a lot of queso on the chip and then topping with salsa. The hot cheese and cold, crunchy veggies made my mouth so happy. The omelet comes with ham, potatoes and is filled with your choice of one filling and cheese. You can get extra fillings for a bit more. So, I got the fresh spinach and bacon. I have to say it was excellent. So much nice spinach. If I wanted it even more perfect, I’d like it a little less done(I don’t know if health laws let them do that — but I like my omelets a little juicy). But that is a quibble. The flavor was great. The piece of ham was much more generous than I had expected — a rather thick wedge. Nicely cooked fries were under and around the omelet. We also tried the chicken salad. Served on a bed of spinach — there were craisins, carrots(shredded), tomatoes and this lovely lemon grass marinated chicken. All topped with a peanut dressing. The serving sizes were not overwhelming, so we were able to polish this all off. I want to try the tacos next and maybe the garlic parmesan fries. And the desserts — they sounded great. But I do eat savory more than I eat sweet. All in all — I left with a happy mouth and happy tummy. Honestly, don’t think I would want to try the drinks at Peach Street if I didn’t have some yummy food to go with! So, I am a fan!
