Eh. I think there are better places in the area you can check out. It’s clean and modern, long hallway of room after room. They have lots of songs but I wish they had mic covers. One time the mic accidentally brushed my lip and I immediately looked for some hand sanitizer to rub on my lips. *shudder* No specific complaints, if you’re looking for a place to sing I think it suffices. They have a good happy hour type deal if you go early. But I went on a Wednesday night — my friends and I were the only ones there. We paid ~$ 145 for 4 hours or so… felt like a lot but I guess it’s the rate. But on such a dead night it would be nice if they comped our 2 sodas or something. Plus, as we were paying the bill they asked us how much we wanted to tip… FINE. I usually tip at these places but I was annoyed to have been asked, especially since they DIDNOTHINGFORUS. I actually went and got my own drinks out of the fridge so the only time they came into the room for us was to add time to our karaōke machine… It’s fine. An option if I’m looking to sing but not my first pick.

Okay so me and my friends went out for my sister’s birthday and we decided to go karaōke for the first time. It was an awesome experience, but the room we were in was EXTREMELYHUMID… no ventilation of any sort seemed to be going in and out of that room. The experience itself was amazing, but everything else was a flop… when we were ready to pay, the lady at the counter said it was $ 35/hour and then added $ 5 to each person and additional costs were added… nowhere did we see a sign for the additional cost. You can tell that the woman was very stingy, but we paid our dues and just left. There are probably better places than this so I would not recommend going here again…

This place sucks. The person who answers the phone doesn’t speak English. We waited an hour to be attended and no one helped us.

I have only been to one other karaōke place before, so there is not much of a comparison. I came here on a Saturday with me and 4 other friends(so 5 people total). We had called in advance to find out a price first to compare in the area and found out it was $ 35/hour. But my friend kept on insisting they had some free hours. We arrived at the place and found out that if you go between 3pm to 7pm, you only had to pay a flat rate for the first hour and the rest are covered. We thought it was a pretty good deal and it is 7 days a week. We didn’t make it at 3 but still got a good 2 and half hours in. For $ 7 a person I think it was worth it. At first I thought oh the rooms aren’t sound proof but once you start singing, you can’t hear the other rooms anymore. I liked the room we were in. There was enough space for us plus extra. The room had the crazy rainbow party lights and tambourines. The room was also set up in a way where if you really wanted you can stand up in the front and use the screen on the back wall to read the words(Mini show for your friends). I also liked that this karaōke system scored you. I am not sure how it works but it must be complicated because I kept getting 00 for songs I usually can score well it on other systems. Or I was just off my game. Still good laughs. Some things to note: –You have to pay for parking meter(though it is cheap in Palisades Park 25 cents per 30 minutes) –It really helps to have a Korean friend who can read and speak Korean. The remote is in Korean and you can search for songs on the system instead of looking through the book.(My Korean friend loved this feature) But if you are looking through the books you can just get number and plug it in. You don’t need to know in Korean red means cancel, green means go and the yellow one means wait in the queue.

I was really hoping to like this place as it came recommended by a friend. I suppose the first problem is only a problem if you don’t speak Korean. Roughly 80%-90% of the songs are in Korean(I’m assuming since there is a large Korean population in the area; I don’t actually speak the language). So that meant my friends and I had to throw out literally every song we intended on singing because those song simply were not available. But we soldiered on. The room itself was not that great. It was a little tight and my girlfriend’s hair smelled like smoke when we left. Lastly, the price is not really clear. I said we would have about 6 people, more or less. I called a second time to confirm the reservation and asked for the price. The guy said«$ 35/hr.» After the night was over we had ended up staying for 2 ½ hours and one other friend had showed up for the first hour. When we went to pay he told us it was $ 104. I asked why was it so much when we had only stayed for 2 ½ hours. He said it was another $ 5 for the extra person. Again none of this was mentioned before. There are no prices posted anywhere. I assume the price was $ 70 for our 2 hours($ 35/hr.), $ 20 for the additional half hour, and $ 10 for our extra person(we must have been charged for 2 hours for her), plus a soda and water. I won’t return(there are so many better places in NY) but I can’t say we didn’t have a good time while we were there.
