Store Self Storage & Wine Storage

We have been customers at Store Self Storage for five years and have found them to be clean, courteous an very helpful with all of our storage needs. They even have water and coffee in the lobby for their customers. Access is easy seven days a week and they have excellent security. They also have a wine storage facility if you need a place to store your wine collection.
They are very good at notifying you of events by e-​mail.
I would say the only negative is that there is limited access on special event days and during Green Market Sundays.
I recommend them highly.

Checked out the green market at Store Self Storage today. You have to go. There are a ton of great vendors and the produce is fresh and LOCAL. Love supporting our local farmers! The facility was awesome too. It certainly didn’t look like any other storage facility I’ve seen. More like a luxury hotel for your stuff! ;)

I visited Store recently for their $torage War$ event. I was surprised by how many other events they host — GreenMarket, wine tastings, yard sales etc. While I was there, we were given a tour of the wine storage — I was blown away! Fingerprint security access, perfect temperature setting for wine, and the actual storage units were immaculate. If I were to ever need storage services this would be the place to go. A little secret as well… they always have warm cookies ready for guests! haha.

For a storage facility, I have to say this place meets all my requirements. It is in a safe, upscale area, so I feel comfortable going in after work and on weekends. It’s well lit, very clean, has two check-​in points, and the moving racks, and dollies work. My last storage facility, the equipment was crap, the floors were dirty, and I was scared to be there after hours without a friend. The AC is kept at a good temperature here, and I like the fact that it can take a cat-​4 hurricane.

The facility is located on North Military Trail at a stoplight intersection, so the entry and exits are very easy to navigate. The facility was designed with indoor parking through a drive-​in roll up door which makes loading and unloading in the rain a very welcome relief. There is also a sunken loading dock. Access to your unit is via two freight elevators, with plenty of rolling steel floats to use for heavier items. Store Self Storage & Wine Storage is new construction and built to be hurricane resistant, which has become more and more of a consideration in South Florida. As their name implies, there is also wine storage for your collection from a 10-​case locker size to all the way up to a couple of hundred. Also, there is a nice meeting room available should your need an alternative to using full hotel services. You can pay your bill on-​line, mail, or in person, so it is very convenient.
The frustrating part about Store Self Storage & Wine Storage is that the facility seems to always be rented out on Sunday mornings for some kind of trinket show or Green Market. These events limit access to storage units until the afternoon hours. It is not an occasional interruption, it very typical. Know this in advance if you happen to routinely need access to your storage facility on Sunday mornings. On that note, also realize that unless you pay your bill for months in advance, you are vulnerable to rate increases. The rate increases happen with irritating frequency and occur more than once a year. As it happens, you simply get a generic letter stating how hard they work to keep expenses low, but a rate increase is coming… have a nice day. So, the moral of the story, consider using an on-​line auction or donate your items to rid yourself of useless crap instead of warehousing them. If in doubt, add up the cost of the items that you are storing, then add Florida sales tax (currently 6%,) and multiply that figure by the number of months that you anticipate needing the storage facility to decide if it is worth renting a storage locker. For me, the picture frames, sports gear, books, antique chair and desk and bicycle was worth maybe $ 1,200 total. My locker cost about $ 118/​month, making the total cost (with tax) for this convenience about $ 1,500/year. THUD ! My last point has to do with climate control. When I first moved to Florida, the facility that I rented from had the temperature set down to a crazy low level. I usually brought a jacket. In the Store Self Storage & Wine Storage facility, the A/​C in the storage portion of the facility, appears to be set much higher. It just never seemed cool to me.
Unilocal does not allow anyone to give star ratings in ½ star increments, so I went with the more conservative rating. I can recommend Store Self Storage & Wine Storage under certain situations. If your access requirements happen work with their schedule, and you anticipate a short term rental duration. Then, you cannot do better for convenience and security. If your needs are more long term, by all means look into other facilities to compare values.
