R S V P Pack & Ship

I have always had expert and pleasant help at Pack and Ship in Palm Beach, FL. Love them.

I cannot imagine worse planning, lack of common sense, waste, and methods that create time and labor problems for the customer on the receiving end. First of all, my shipment was 25% over estimate. When I received a call from FedEx to schedule local delivery [RSVP uses other shippers for drop off under circumstances that are only known to them], it became clear after interrogating the FedEx rep that they planned on dropping off a singular 263 pound, shrink wrapped pallet containing all of my boxes, to an undetermined location on my property, possibly the end of a 200 foot driveway at the street — for me to deal with. The only part of this revue where RSVP gets any credit is that Dan responded to my irate phone call and had his people divert and unpack the pallet and deliver each package inside the house [FedEx was then out of the picture]. That doesn’t explain the ridiculous planning on the part of RSVP to create this problem in the first place. Most of the boxes are ludicrously overpacked [e.g., a medium/​large box with one $ 20 plastic kitchen tray as the only item], including a stupid amount of styrofoam peanuts where sheets of styrofoam would do the job and not wind up creating an unpacking nightmare. A family icon was broken, of course, in transit. I am astounded at the above problems, especially since all the people that I have dealt with seem to be very nice and I have no problem on that score. Doesn’t excuse the rest of it.
