Stunning gardens…
Found this place a few years back and make it there at least twice a month.
The place is well maintained and has a variety of sculptures and trees.
I just love the waterlilly pond and the fruit trees.
Excellent place to take out of town guests or if you just want to enjoy quiet time with your loved one for a romantic walk.

This is my latest update. Yesterday, I saw the splendid“Treasures from the Farnsworth Art Museum“exhibut which runs until March 29th, 2015. At this exhibit, I saw finee oil paintings relating to the State of Maine by such painters as;Fitz Henry Lane, John Joseph Enneking («Mount Kineo, Moosehead Lake, Maine»), Joseph Decamp («Seascape, Cape Ann»), Hermann Herzog, George Bellows («Teamster»), Andrew Winter («Monhegan Twilight»), N. C Wyeth («Morris House, Port Clyde»), Andrew Wyeth («Turkey Pond»), Jamie Wyeth («Bean Boots»), Rockwell Kent («Maine Coast»), and Louise Nevelson («Maine Meadows, Old Country Road”-somehat Expressionistic).This exhibit also had excellent sculptings by Louise Nevelson. I was also enamored with these paintings;Childe Hassam’s“Union Square, New York City».Barry Faulkner’s“Paul Manship Toasting Angels”(fine Oriental perspective), and Johnathan Fisher’s“View of Blue Hill Village”.Admission is five dollars and parking is free. So enjoy this exhibit which evoked fond memories of my previous travels in Maine.

Wonderful old musty smelling library… I love it. The gardens are stunning and the programs in general are great. I have been going to the Four Arts since I was a child.

We went to story time today, which was great. Then we walked across the street to the garden. It was so beautiful. We sat by the koi pond while my son ate his snack, then walked around some more. There was so much to see, that we left without seeing it all. It would be a beautiful spot for wedding photos, but you’d need to get permission first.
I look forward to going back so we can explore more of the garden.
