Had the large pepperoni with mushroom pizza. The slices are big and very filling. Toppings were plentiful and service was above average. The place is small and the taste of the pizza was good. Price of pizza is slightly higher than competitors in the area.

The anti pasta salad and dressing is fantastic. I buy it for all my dinner parties instead of making it. Great inexpensive local Italian restaurant. Great service and location and frankly wonderful staff. It’s a must go to check it out for some good Italian food or pizza. I wish they had green olives for pizza!

Meh… I don’t know what all the hub bub is about. It was on par with Digornio… only I had to leave my house. I’ll pay for the meal since it was my choice to go, but I feel as though they should reimburse my travel expenses. That said, the staff was very friendly. Maybe it was just an off night.

This place serves the best pizza in the valley, maybe in the best in Riverside county. It’s a little place, but their pizza is amazing, the antipasto is super good, and pasta is really good too. Go for it – you won’t be disappointed.

In town visiting and wanted some decent Italian food food. So I trusted Unilocal to leave me in the right direction, now I knew this was not A fancy place but I expected some decent pasta from what the review said. Well here I am just finished eating and all I can say is garbage garbage garbage. Chicken parm was just OK the spaghetti and meat sauce that it came with sucked. My wife ordered the spaghetti and ravioli combo and that too was terrible. $ 28 buck for both items I think I was ripped off fellow Unilocalers I don’t know why this place is four stars but it should be 1 to 2… Blahhhh

Their pizza’s the bomb! Service? Not so much! But I go there because the pizza’s probably the best I ever had.

Wonderful food and service! Joelle and Noelle were very hospitable and down to earth. Owner and server. Pizza was crisp and traditional. Brought out with love and you can taste it. Would return with reinforcements…

Love this place. I’ve eaten in the restaurant and also gotten pizza for takeout many many times and it’s very good and has a friendly staff. The pizza crust is really tasty. There is a reason why this place has been around a long time.

I had the Lasagna with meat sauce side order of meatballs. Christopher had the Rigatoni with Sausage(2). Both meals came with salad and garlic bread(4). Delicious, filling, and great customer service. Missed Mason on this trip. Will be back.

We were on the road for most of the day. Our son wanted pizza, so we checked trusty Unilocal. We ended up here, at the Haus of Pizza. My husband noticed that it was 5 minutes to 9 p.m.(which was apparently their closing time). I asked the people behind the counter if it was still ok to come in to have dinner. The older lady said that it will have to be on a limited menu, to which my husband asked if they are still serving pizza. She said, «Yes.» We waited to be seated(as there was a sign that said«Wait to be seated»). The two younger wait staff gabbed away at each other. Finally, I asked if we should wait to be seated or just sit. They seemed surprised(read: condescendingly) and said that it was alright for us to sit anywhere. We should have left right there and then, I know. But, we didn’t. Which turned out to be a wrong move on our part. While our drink order was being taken by the younger blonde wait staff, the young brunette waitress passed by. I smiled at her and she quickly averted her eyes and made a sour face. The blonde girl was much more pleasant. When we were ordering our food, we were informed that the limited menu only consisted of pasta and that the pizza will actually take 30 minutes! So much for it being«ok to come in to have dinner»! I would much rather that they didn’t try to accommodate us. We would have been fine with being turned away since we came very near to closing. No offense would have been taken. Instead, they opted to offend customers by their very poor service. Let me offer you a tip. The correct response would have been, «Oh, I’m so sorry but, our kitchen’s closed/our chef already left/my waitstaff needs some rest from talking to each other the whole day…(Anything!) But, please do come see us tomorrow. We’ll be open from „whatever time“ to „whatever time“.» Heck! Throw in a free portion of your least costliest item. I, personally, wouldn’t have taken the free offer. But, I would very much have appreciated the effort at hospitality and customer service. I’m sorry you lack both.

The Italian salad dressing at Haus of Pizza was a hit with my family! Both my husband and son totally enjoyed it. My boys also really enjoyed their pizza. They liked the sauce and decided it was homemade. My husband ordered lasagna and thought it was good and certainly a value. I was excited to find my favorite Italian combination as a meal on their menu, the Hilde. Two meatballs, a salad, and garlic bread. It was all very tasty and a great value. A restaurant that pleases the whole family is rare but something we certain take note of… and eventually return to!

We went here last night on our way home from Memorial Day weekend. The portions are a very nice size and the food tastes good. I really love the side salad. They bring it out in a chilled bowl and I would never expect that in a pizza place. The prices are reasonable too.

Everyone should have a place like this in there neighborhood. Small, intimate, extremely friendly, cheap, and delicious. I was actually shocked at how good my pepperoni pizza tasted, some of the best I’ve had! Definitely worth every penny. Plus I had the pasta special of the day which was good and a great comforting classic pastrami sandwich. My party all shared and it was quite comfortable and nice. Great choice for lunch, wish it was closer to home so I could go more often. Give it a try!

This is my go to place to order pizza take out. No delivery service, unfortunately, but the pizza is delicious and worth it to pick up. Try a pizza with tomatoes and garlic or their veggie. Yum! I’ve only eaten in the restaurant once. It is very casual, local vibe.

This place is old school Italian style. Good value on pricing and the food is good. I really like the minestrone soup. Why? Because it doesn’t have a bunch of nasty stuff in it like other places. I didn’t have to pick nothing out of it. The meals are really good too. The garlic bread is done right. I’ll be back to try the pizza and other items. It’s definitely home of flavor just like they claim.

There are no shortage of Italian Restaurants in Palm Desert where you can get Chicken Parmigiana alone for 20 or more, but if you want it for closer to 10(12.95 here with salad and pasta and garlic toast included), then Haus is the place. It’s the place to go for Italian food where 2 people can dine for approx 20, not 40 – 50. Food is served, and tastes like it would if you were eating over someones house. Atmosphere is pizza place simple. This place reminds me of the Pizza places that I used to go to growing up in NYC for 95% of my Italian meals.(With the exception of no Mob bosses hanging out in the kitchen with their limos parked outside.) Service is fast, cordial, to the point, and no fuss. You seat yourself. They refilled water without asking and food came out fast. No hassle dining. Good to have a reasonably priced place like this in Palm Desert.

Homemade flavor, relaxed family atmosphere, very friendly service. The garlic bread is seasoned very well, the eggplant Parmesan has such an authentic taste, and the pizza tastes fresh! We came across this place by accident, meaning to go eat at a franchise restaurant on El Paseo, but are happy we saw this from the side of the road and made the detour! We will return on our next stop to the desert! Bonus: it’s next-door to a frozen yogurt shop(dessert)!

Had your pizza for the first time the other night. Found the price of the Haus Special online at $ 15.90 but was told over the phone it’s actually $ 17.90. It’d be nice to be able to have an updated menu online. I think for good customer service and telling you the price we found online, you could’ve given it to us at that price. So as a first time customer, we’d be more inclined to come back but now, I don’t know. The pizza was just OK too.

I LOVELOVELOVE Doria’s Original Haus of Pizza in Costa Mesa and frequent it often. So, when I was visiting Palm Desert and discovered they have a restaurant there too, I was thrilled and had to stop by for a bite! This restaurant is run by the adult Grandchildren of the Doria family. They even came by my table to welcome me. The menu is very similar to the Original Haus of Pizza, offering a variety of dishes, from Pizza and Pastas to Sandwiches and Salads. I am glad they stuck to the original recipes; everything is homemade and tastes delicious! We had the Pepperoni Pizza, the crust was perfect, crispy on the outside yet soft and doughy on the inside and had generous amount of fresh cheese and sauce. We also had my favorite, the Combination(half spaghetti and half ravioli) as well as the Lasagna and a side of Sausage. The dinners are served with a house salad or minestrone soup and yummy garlic bread. It was all very delicious. Haus of Pizza is a family owned business that offers homemade food at reasonable prices and has friendly service. The restaurant is inviting and conveniently located right next to the Palm Desert Westfield Mall. I look forward to stopping by again the next time I am in Palm Desert.
