I was a little worried that there prices were going to be very high (compared to Wal-​Mart anyway) I wanted a change of scenery and the fact It is so close to my work I could just drop my car off and come back for it. they were very friendly and had my car done for me (oil change) by the time I was done with work. They are priced slightly higher then Wal-​Mart but for better service and the convenience of being so close they are well worth it in my book :)

Can’t say enough good things about this business. It is really rare today to find a business that you can say has great customer service but this business does. I first called on the phone and spoke with Leo. He gave me some great advice and I actually saved money so I brought my car in to have a wheel alignment and to say thank you. Everyone was wonderful. I didn’t have to wait long for the service, it was very reasonable and they did a great job. I have found a new place to bring my car. I am so happy. Great job guys.

This place was empty when I came in and they felt the need to be greedy and slam my fleet account with everything sale under the sun and to top it off I was stranded for 4 ½ hours, can’t believe this place has 5 stars. Never be back again.

This place is amazing. I came in a little panicked because I was going to be driving back to LA and my coolant light came on. Someone came out to see what was going on with my car immediately, poured in some coolant, and then waved me on my way. I’ve never experienced a mechanic who didn’t try to pretty much separate me from much of the contents of my bank account. They also checked my tires, and sent me on my way smiling. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could, and would be a regular if I lived in the area.

Clear communicators. Take the time to ezplain and show items of issue… service done well. Convenient hours n location. Very professional.

Open extensive hours. Good customer service. Allows for appointments. Opens 730am but mechanics come in at 8am. Lot of service options. Independently owned and operated. Plenty of parking. Walking distance to stores n shops so do have to sit around. Handycap accessible bathroom. Coffee n water station. Tv in lobby.

I am a regular customer of this Shop and as usual I get the very best of the service. This place is one of a kind when it comes to service. If all shops should be run this way, everyone would be happy. The sfaff, Leo, George, and the Mehanics deserves this commendation and I will do this again and again. Super fantastic service. They will check everything in your vehicle to make sure you are on the go and safe. Keep it up Leo! you the man in charge!

Don’t waste your time anywhere else, this is the place to go!!! Ask for Leo! I was visiting Palm Springs for the weekend and as I was heading home (in a rental car), I noticed that my back rear right tire was low. I first stopped at Costco, they checked out the tire and immediately found a nail in it. They proceeded to tell me that they couldn’t repair it since it wasn’t a Costco tire. So they suggested I head over to Mountain View Tire. When I got there, Leo came out to check out the tire. He suggested a couple options that would have required locating an open Rental Location to switch out the cars (sounded like a hassle). Then he generously offered to just repair it immediately. My 2 kids and I waited patiently in the lobby, watched some football & looked at a few cool magazines. Within less than a half hour, the tire was fixed and we were on our way home. Leo, thank you for your kind and generous heart! Because of you, we got home safely!!!

Where can I start to praise, and rave about this place?! I’ve had lots of work done by this shop for both of my older car, and truck. I have always been treated with respect, offered a fair price, and enjoyed flexibility with the professionals at MOUNTAIN VIEW TIRE. I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere else unless someone had a gun to my back. Leo, and George are by far the BEST when it comes to customer service, knowledge, and flexibility. Ladies… if you don’t want to be made to feel stupid or inadequate about the process of car repair, and service. do yourself a favor, and go to Mountain view! You’ll probably learn a thing or two about your car too. Thanks again staff at Mountain View… you guys are the best!

I have been taking my both my vehicles here and have been very satisfied! Always great customer service. Had A/​C work, oil changes, and tire repairs done. I will be using them for all my vehicle repairs.

When will I learn my lesson and not go there. I went there to get a smog check since they are nearby the house. I waited in line for 15 minutes while the little guy behind the counter takes his time with a customer. I approach the counter and told him I want a smog check and informs me that his smog technician did not come to work today. That just freaking great. I did go there prior to that to get a nail removed from my tire and it took 45 minutes. This place needs new management and employees. They are the worse. I finally went to Palm Springs Smog and was out in 15 minutes. That’s a way to run a business. Who ever reads these reviews, get that little dude behind the counter some training and help. Won’t go there again. Believe me!!!

It is very rare to find honest mechanics who understand the concept of goodwill in the community. George and crew at The Monterey Ave Mountain View Tire and Auto in Palm Desert fit the bill. I have had three different cars serviced at this location and every experience has been a pleasure. I even had my elderly father take his car in for analysis today after being told by thee other mechanics that he needed repairs costing $ 800 to $ 1,500. Turns out that, after inspection, it was only a matter of tightening a few bolts at a cost of $ 30. The shop is immaculate, and all the service technicians are talented and courteous. Palm Desert residents are lucky to have these guys around…

Look no further, Mountain View Tire & Auto Service are the best. Doug and his service technicians take the time to think things through so you get the best service possible. They are thoughtful, honest and dependable with competitive prices for great products. We won’t go anywhere else Thanks again Doug for your work on our Volvo XC90 and Nissan Rouge.

I receive coupons for oil changes regularly and that’s great. The work is done to my satisfaction. What’s really important to me is customer service and how your greeted when you walk in the door. This is lacking at this location. A simple hello will do and not treated like your a nuisance. Time to find another location.

5 stars!!! Good customer service. These guys are honest. No bullshit. Ive been looking for a good car service here in the desert and this is one of the best. I can watch them take care of my car compare to jiffy lube and others which they dont allow. They really do a great job. Seriously!

On Tuesday I stopped in to have a smog check. I was advised that their internet was down but would follow up once it came up. Around 5pm I received a call and tried to set up an appointment for Wednesday at 9:00 am. I was advised that the smog tech usually comes in late around 9:15 — 9:30am. So I made an appointment. When I showed up I was advised there were three people ahead of me and advised the clerk that I had an appointment, which didn’t seem to matter. I also asked to have an oil change and reset the change oil light after the smog check was done. Much to my surprise I returned in an hour to find out that the smog check wasn’t done and the oil change was. I was advised that «it was easier to do the oil change first being there were three people ahead of me.» Then I was advised that they would not do the smog check because it required a Star station. I can honestly say I would never have had them do the oil change if they weren’t going to do the smog. This morning I realized they also did not reset the oil light. Not sure why all these people have had a great experience, I didn’t. I can honestly state that after being a loyal customer since 2007 at the Westfield Location I would not be back. Its sad how fast the level of service can go down.
Eddie did call me to apologize and did admit the ball was dropped. This is the main reason for the edit — he realized his team could have handled the situation better and I appreciated him making the effort.

I highly recommend Mountain View Tire & Auto Service for your vehicle service needs. This shop is professional, clean, knowledgeable and trustworthy — traits not easily found with most car repair shops or «quicky» oil change chains. My scheduled apptmt. was ontime and went smoothly. Service Technician found a «worn oil pan plug» which could have been a big headache and expense down the road for me if not replaced. Total add’l. cost of $ 3! That’s customer service. At no time did they try and up-​sell or «push» other services on me. I highly recommend this Automobile Service facility. Ask for Leo, the Manager. He will take good care of you and your vehicle!

This is the kind of customer service you remember from a long time ago. Leo stayed after closing to solve the scary problem we had when driving in from LA. He didn’t even charge us for that, but suggested some tires that we needed and gave us a good deal. He explained everything and was very thorough and competent. I’ll recommend this place to anyone who needs new tires or other help with their vehicle.
