The service is incredible — better than anywhere I’ve been in Chicago. Ben helped me and not only was he very knowledgeable, he was really patient and didn’t make me feel like an idiot — as a casual cyclist asking a lot of questions. Big thanks for that.

This place is fantastic. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help. It is a well equipped shop and everyone that works there is very knowledgeable. I would recommend to anyone in the area above any other bike shop in the valley.

I just purchased a bike from them and am very pleased with the bike and the staff. The minute you walk in you are taken care of right away. All the staff are riders and will give you advice on what you need or don’t need. I would recommend this place to everybody.

We are on a trip passing through the city and Joseph was very helpful getting the parts that we needed to repair our bikes. The parts needed to be ordered and he kept us up to date with the status.
When the parts arrived we brought the bicycles back and Benjamin repaired the bicycles even though we arrived 15 minutes before closing time.
Benjamin went above and beyond his call of duty in helping us out.
We highly recommend the shop to anyone who needs bicycle work done.

This small shop was great. The two employees on April 25^th got my bike repaired so I could get to the Stagecoach concert, they checked my wife’s bike to be safe. Highly recommend this shop. FRIENDLY and respinsive

The crew here is great… customer oriented and friendly. They helped out big time on our vacation after I left my bike shoes at home. They put some used pedals on my bike so I could ride with regular shoes for a very fair price.

We recently purchased a bike at FunSeekers for my daughter. Scored a fantastic deal on a used rental bike. It is a top quality bike that was very well maintained. Sooo much better than the crap we almost bought at Target! She chose the Kona Hula, her first bike with gears. Joe was amazingly helpful and my daughter adores her new bike. They offer free tune ups for the first year when you get a bike from them. Love these guys. Thanks FunSeekers!

If you’re a cyclist (or aspiring to be) in the Coachella Valley, you have a lot of options. Lots of local bike shops to be found in the area. Generally speaking, you can align yourself with a particular shop if there’s a particular brand you’re into, whether it’s Fuji, Giant, Cannondale, Specialized, etc. Maybe it’s accessories you want. Some shops obviously are better at keeping things in stock than others.
But the thing that sets on LBS apart from another is service. Palm Desert Bike & Moped is exponentially better than the rest when it comes to service. Not only are the guys at the shop very friendly, they treat you the same manner whether you’re an elite, a weekend warrior, or a beginner.
Most importantly, their service prices are far more reasonable than any other shop in the area. For that alone, they’ve won my loyalty (and why I chose to purchase my wife’s bike there). Palm Desert isn’t far from Palm Springs, but it also isn’t close — and PS Cyclery is right in town. I prefer to drive 20 minutes out of the way because the folks at PDB&M took care of us and made us feel welcome, and sold a fair deal.

We rented road bikes for one week from Fun Seekers. The cost was $ 90/​week and included a helmet and lock. Was that expensive? Methinks not! What did we get? High end road bikes, light weight, and personalized service. Much better than the average bike shop. In fact, we went out of our way to travel to Palm Desert (from Rancho Mirage) to rent from Funseekers. Were we safisfied? You bet!

I recently bought a Fuji from Funseekers– Palm Desert Bike & Moped. The crew; Brian, Marlin and of course Tex were all great in ensuring the bike was a good fit and furthermore in my price range.
They encouraged me to cycle around the parking lot, try out all the components and return for seat, and handle bar adjustments. Then continue to cycle once more to see if more adjustments were needed.
It’s because of such great customer service, prices and quality of the various bikes Jamis, Fuji, Bianchi in stock I will continue to return for service and tune ups as well as tell friends to visit the store.
I can only imagine their rental service and bike options are as incredible for those visiting I would highly recommend a visit to this place.

Funseekers aka Palm Desert Bike & Moped isn’t the flashiest bike shop ever but has some of the best bikes and staff around. They carry beautiful bikes from Jamis, Kestrel, Fuji and Bianchi.
Brian and the gang work hard to get you the best deal and make sure you’re satisfied with your experience. The shop does offer rental bikes if you’re just visiting the desert or want to try before you buy.
Funseekers is also a full-​service shop, so if you already have a bike you love they’ll take good care of it for you.

I just bought a new Jamis Satellite road bike here. Really happy with the price and the help from Brian and the guys. I had gone to Palm Springs cyclery in Palm Desert and wandered around for about 15 mins and no one even acknowledged me so I left. Went to these guys and they were very helpful. Told me all about the bike and offered a price pretty well below msrp. I went home and checked out the bike online and figured it was what I wanted so came back a few days later and picked it up for an even better price which I was very happy about. They threw in a water bottle and adjusted the bike to fit me and mounted the lights I bought for free. I’m new to road biking and they were helpful and never condescending or anything, which was greatly appreciated.

I’ve never given a review on Unilocal before this, however, after my experience with Funseekers bike rentals, I felt they deserved to be recognized for their great service. I was recently in Palm Desert for the Danskin Triathalon and because it was my first time doing one I didn’t have a good bike. I didn’t want to buy a bike so I decided to rent. After calling a few different bike shops in the area (which I am not from), I was met with some pretty rude treatment… but not from Matt at Funseekers. He patiently listened as I tried to explain what I needed and he offered knowledgeable advice and suggestions to help me along. I reserved a bike over the phone with the agreement that if a cheaper bike was not available when I came to pick one up, he would make sure I got a bike for a good price. Of course, naturally I was skeptical but thought that I didn’t have much choice but to trust he would keep his word. When I got there, not only was he true to his word, he totally worked with me regarding price and honored our agreement without a single hassle. Everyone in the shop was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest, hardworking, and trustworthy service.

Had to bring in a bike for a tune up and flat, and they were very friendly and did a great job.
Just some real «bike dudes» who know their stuff. No hassle, no drama, just good service and good work.

I ordered the elusive 2012 Jamis Coda Sport sight unseen. The guy Brian that helped me was awesome. Not only did my bike arrive in perfect condition, I got a great price & because I was out of state paid no sales tax. Overall very satisfied with the process. It was easy and I LOVE my new Femme Jamis. Believe it or not there are only two Jamis dealers in AZ. The one near me had none in stock AND more importantly had a crappy return policy. Basically if I rode it once I would be unable to return or exchange it. Desert Funseekers gave me a 14-​day trial and told me if it didn’t work out they would pay for the shipping to send it back & exchange it.

I just picked up my bike at the shop. I took it in for a tune up, and it’s never felt better.

Really expensive rentals and not very helpful. Wanted $ 105 per day for a full suspension bike. $ 65 a day for hard tail. Ridiculous.
Go instead to Tri A Bike around the corner. $ 30 per day for a top of the line Diamondback full suspension bike. (all their bikes are $ 30 a day /​$ 99 a week) And really helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Avoid Funseekers.

I love these guys! My company sponsored a retreat in the Palm Springs area. I don’t play golf or tennis but I do love to ride my bike. A quick check in the local hotel brochure rack found an ad for Funseekers. They rent all sorts of bikes as well as rollerblades, Segways, and I don’t know what else. I talked with the owner (sorry, I forgot his name) and he set me up with a sweet ride, a Colnago bike for what I considered a quite reasonable day rate. They even delivered it to the hotel (for an extra $ 20). If you’re in the Palm Springs area and want to ride a bike (or a Segway?) I highly recommend these guys. They’re the best!
