My wife and I were in town a day early for a wedding and wanted to get some dinner. This place was near the hotel so we figured we would give it a shot. We were extremely disappointed. Perhaps it’s possible we are just picky, but the food was bland and it seemed they were trying to cater to a more American palate as there was no spice or heat on the food. The service itself was perfectly fine, maybe a little slow, but it wasn’t a big deal. We were more disappointed with the lack of fresh flavor in the food.

Two weeks ago I was impressed with this place, but today I am absolutely disappointed. We were a party of 7 and all we wanted was to sit together at the bar and have some drinks and Cocktails however the manager refused to accommodate us we asked can we order drinks and sit outside she said no however all the tables were reserved for a party at the bar. I feel that a party of 7 who was going to give you some great business should have been accommodated. So it was their loss and someone else’s gain. Not good managerial skills. So sad

Came here for a late lunch. This place was great. Our service was very pleasant and attentive. I had some diary restrictions and she was happy to accommodate them. We will definitely be back.

Hands down this chain of authentic Mexican restaurants has the best food in town. The original location in Indio always has a line so we were so pleased to see them add two new locations. Worried that the food may not be as good in the new ones? Not the case. I have my favorite meal in all three and they all are just as good! Chicken enchiladas like the ones I remember growing up, not full of fillers but real chicken. And the tamales? The best! Even chips and salsa are fresh and homemade. Hope you try it out and find the same to be true.

A terrific place! Great service, outstanding food and generous cocktails. I stumbled on to this location by accident, and decided to try it. Generally speaking, the Mexican food in the Valley is awful and I was a bit cautious… It’s in the location of the old TGI Friday’s, off the street… in the part of El Paseo that is South or is that West of 74. The location is a little challenged, but well worth the adventure. Make sure to have the sweet corn tamales, best I’ve had. My only negative comment would be that the interior needs to look more like a Mexican restaurant.

The margaritas and the sweet corn tamales are the best I have had anywhere. The staff is friendly and very willing to serve you and try to accommodate to your needs. The happy hour menu is very reasonably priced $ 5 items, but should have a few more items added to the menu. They started a karaōke Tuesday and Sunday night run by DJs and not KJ’s, karaōke singers know the big difference. The karaōke is run by two different DJ’s. Sunday’s DJ Javi is good, he tries hard to find your songs and plays cool song videos in between. However, the Tuesday night DJ should be replaced by a real KJ that has a variety of genres and a big song book.

Like the food a lot here and the bartenders are all really good. Only thing I don’t like about it is the restaurant is huge but its always dead! Its got a not great vibe because of it. The steak fajitas are seriously amazing and we love the taquitos! Great beer selection and specials. Now we just have to get some people in this place to give it a better feel.

They have a very good pan fried noodles I get with chicken. I had their chicken fried rice which was also good. They are now only open from 4 – 9 Sat and Sun. It doesn’t say for how long. But call first to be sure they’re open.

Very average Mexican food chain! There are so many better choices in the valley I would not recommend eating your time at this one! Try El Gallito or El Rodeo for some great food!

Pueblo viejo has 3 locations in Coachella valley. This one on el-paseo is the newest one. They converted old TGI Friday to a nice restaurant. I love coming here and having some beers and delicious food. You cant beat the happy hour prices in here. My favourite is steak quesadilla and 805 beer. Quesadilla cost $ 5 and beer cost $ 2. Happy hour every day after 8pm

Sat at the bar, it was a little slow but me and the boyfriend were going in for the late happy hour which is very generous. I was starving and had the enchilada and taco combo and my boyfriend had I think taquitos and the wings and he loved the wings. When we got there the first bartender Alicia got our drinks then handed us to Marcus(lol his name tag said Cindy) and Marcus was great. Loved how energetic and friendly he was and was honest about which drinks to try. Will totally be back soon.

We showed up at 2:47 and we are the only people here. Happy hour starts at 3:00 apparently and they won’t let us order off the happy hour menu until 3. So we are hungry and thirsty sitting here waiting for 13 minutes to order. I hope it gets better from here. — — – 3:03 no waitress in site. Going across the street.

We came here by fluke chance when we traveled for a cheap dinner to Arby’s but then learned our party wanted Mexican food instead. We weren’t sure about prices but decided it was our last night in Palm Springs that we should enjoy ourselves~Walking in, you could tell it’s an old TGIFs and the atmosphere was louder but not too loud which is good because I had my newborn with me who was sleeping. They put the complimentary chips & salsa on the table right away with our waters and we were pretty surprised how good those tasted! Next opened up the menu to find very reasonable prices. I got the No. 2 chicken crunchy taco combo(which comes with rice and beans) $ 10. Dad ordered steak fajitas, which the meat was great! $ 17 Mom had mini tostada, no meat w/beans only $ 6 which was pretty big! And two kids quesadillas $ 5 served with fries(drink not included). For dessert we were tempted into getting the fried ice cream which was huge so we all shared. It’s good for a salty sweet craving but not the best I’ve ever had. All in total $ 56 for 3 adults and 2 children. Definitely will be back next time we are in the area! Service was great and though we waited a but what was noteworthy is they serve the food all at the same time HOT&FRESH plus the wait staff is attentive with drinks & clearing plates. We had such a delightful evening… psh, and we were going to spend it at Arby’s?!

We ordered what was supposed to be a Seafood Enchilada with Chile Relleno, rice and beans. The rice was dry the beans tasted like they were full of lard and the Chile Relleno was nothing but cheese and the seafood enchilada you couldn’t even taste the seafood! On the positive side the Albondigas soup was tasty, the beef burrito & beef tacos were okay. but the vegetarian burrito tasted like it’s contents had been sitting in a warming tray all day. We had a shrimp dish that was okay. I give them credit every person we encountered was pleasant and accommodating even while we were complaining. They comped us dessert. We were really hoping that this would be a place that we could come back to. We had high expectations. Located in the old TGI Friday’s location where we had lots of good memories when the kids were little.

Oh, la comida deliciosa… um…well…maybe more like así así(so so). I was so looking forward to trying out this new restaurant. I was here for lunch with a friend, who ordered the chicken avocado salad($ 14.50). She thought her salad was good, but didn’t like the large flour tostada shell it was served in, which was not what the menu stated. We were not sure if it was a mistake or if that is the way it is normally served. My order was the tacos al carbon($ 12.50), two beef tacos with rice and beans. The beans were topped with cheddar cheese. The flavor of the meat was just OK. I did not like the salsa that came with the tacos — how can you go wrong with salsa? Their salsa tastes like sweet spaghetti sauce rather than Mexican salsa. I think the food is more a touristy Americanized version of Mexican food, rather than authentic. Customer service was outstanding. The inside of the restaurant is clean and looks nice. Overall — just OK — not great or bad. It is not at the top of my restaurant list. We have a lot of great Mexican restaurants in the area from which to choose, so I don’t think I’ll be back. Tip: Address is listed as El Paseo, but it is not visible from El Paseo, so you might get a little lost driving around looking for it. It faces Hwy 111, close to Vons and across from the mall.

Went here last night and was very impressed. Very fast service and very good food. Went in and got a warm welcome and was seated immediately. It took the server seconds to get to my table to tend to my needs which was amazing. Service was good, food was good, and drinks were good. 10 out of 10.
