So.California Sliding Door’s

Run, don’t walk, from this business. Initially they are responsive, do good work, and in a timely way. But then, if there’s any sort of unforseen problem, they all disappear. The owner doesn’t answer calls, the workmen keep our screen doors, and the whole gang mysteriously go missing. Maybe they have a magic act in Vegas. But to do business with them, ever again? I don’t think so. And if you see a few screen doors out there they probably belong to me.

We had a VERY strange experience with this business. Initially, we hired them to repair one of our dining room windows that had become stuck. A spring mechanism in the frame broke. They came out, looked it over, measured the window, and came back a week or so later to make the repair. Their guys were friendly and we thought they did a good job, even though the cost ($ 150) did seem steep. In May we contacted them again because we were having the same issue with a small (VERY SMALL) bathroom window. As before 2 guys came out, inspected the window, took measurements and we agreed that we wanted it repaired. Almost a full month went by and we hadn’t heard back from them. We called and left a voicemail one day and got no return call. Called again the next day and the woman said she wasn’t aware of us at all, that she would look into it and call back. This time we were told the cost would be $ 200 for the same repair for a much smaller window frame. When questioned about that price she said she would check on it and call us back. A FULL week went by so we called her again and again she said she was checking on that price. After ANOTHER day we called again. She indicated the price would be 200. We agreed and asked her to schedule a repair. ANOTHER day went by with no word on when they might do the repair. We called one last time to ask and she STILL could not schedule us??? At that point we told her that it didn’t seem as though she wanted our business. She said, «Okay, thank you. Goodbye!» All I can say is WOW. What a lousy way to do business!!! Sorry, I don’t BEG for businesses to take my money!!!
The other reviewer here states that she «can usually get an appointment right away and that cost is very affordable.» BOY, neither of those things were true for us. I guess you have to be a Realtor in La Quinta to have that happen? We’ll NEVER call them again!!!

I love this company! I have been using them for years. Any time my listings need some service regarding sliding doors I call So Cal Sliding Doors. (I am a Realtor in the La Quinta, Palm Desert area) They usually can get me an appt right away and the cost is always very affordable.

We had several other companies tell us our screen door couldn’t be replaced. Then So California Sliding Door sent their personable, experienced worker (who showed up on time!) and now we have a beautiful new door that slides, at a very reasonable cost.
