Spencer Auto Body & Paint

We just had Spencer’s fix our Mercedes GL-​450. They did an amazing job with all the repairs. And they got done in two days which I’m thrilled about!
Wished I knew of them when we had our Lexus IS-​350 fixed at Henry’s Auto Rebuild in Cathedral City. Henry’s did such an awful repair job on our Lexus, that we ended up having to sell it!
I will be referring Spencer’s to everyone that needs body repair or paint!!!
Only complaint we have is, they only take cash or cashier checks. Since our Palm Desert house is our second home. We bank with Banner Bank. The closest Banner Bank is in River Side which is over an hour away. This was a total pain in the ass!

Very happy with the results. They delivered early and above expectations. Had a bumper fixed and they popped out a dent on their own. They are very professional.

We got our car fixed here and will go nowhere else! Auto body repair shops can learn a think or two about customer service, speedy repair time, and a genuine overall empathy for a stressful situation. Take my advice go to Spencer and don’t think twice!

It is no surprise to me that Spencer’s average rating is 5 stars. I have used them for the past 14 years and their quality and service is unequaled. Over Christmas my F-​150 was T-​boned while spending the holidays on the coast. Even though I had to tow my RV back to Palm Desert with the damage to the truck I chose this option to assure Spencer’s would be the company performing the repairs. The repair was extensive and after eight weeks I picked up my truck yesterday. I carefully went over the vehicle and could not fine one single little detail wrong from bumper to bumper. They even detailed it inside and out. It is like a brand new car. I cannot begin to explain how refreshing it is to deal with such a first class outfit. Kurt Ney is the founding owner and is supported in the office by his sister Eileen. But I have to state the real hero of this story is George Essler. George was the service writer for my job. He spent an enormous amount of time explaining in great detail all of the required work. George called me each week with a status update. Not once did I have to initiate a call to him. And what a positive, professional personality he always displays!!! I actually think I may miss talking with George now that my job is complete. If you want the best shop in the valley… go to Spencer’s…and be sure to request George.

Very helpful associates. They gave me a quote and were very honest about pricing. I was very lucky to find this place to helpme with my car.

We backed into our trailer hitch and could not open the tail gate, so could not hitch up our fifth wheel and needed to get to a family funeral. They banged it out so the tailgate opened and said no charge. Amazing service.

I have had to use Spencer twice. Both times they did excellent work, did it in a timely fashion and were super courteous. No wonder USAA recommends them.

If your car needs auto body work, don’t give it a second thought, don’t worry about getting a second or third quote, just GO TO SPENCER AUTO BODY NOW. You will walk away amazed at the level of honesty, professionalism, kindness, and fairness. It was so refreshing to meet people like George, who was my main point of contact. I ended up paying less than the original quote because the part they bought was actually less than they thought it would be — and they passed the savings onto me. Does that ever happen in this day and age? Even if that scenario didn’t happen, I would still be very grateful for the level of service I received from Spencer Auto Body. I will recommend them to everyone.

I just have to tell you this story. First of all I have found a NEW place, new to me, to take my car for whatever it needs, rather than to Honda. Stupidly I came in to my garage too close to the edge of the door and almost totally knocked my side view mirror off. I took it to Honda. Well I was shocked, $ 341.00 for a new mirror.
Today I stopped by Spencer auto Body and Paint Inc, on Joni Dr. I was going to see if they could find a mirror in a junk yard. (of course my car is a 2000 Honda Civic. George came out and looked at the mirror. I told him if he couldn’t find one, how much would it be to order a new one and connect it. He looked at it, and said «do you have a few minutes?» I said yes, he asked me to go in to the waiting room. He took my car in someplace, and about 15 – 20 minutes, he came in and got me. Siad «your car is ready to go». He said he had a way to fix it. I asked him how much. Truly I was expecting to pay at least a hundred dollars. He just smiled and said «have a nice day». I told him I should pay him something. He said just don’t run in to anything else as that might take it off again. I guarantee I will be careful. It does your heart good in this world, with so many horrible things happening, to meet someone like George. I took my car to Spencer’s for some minor body work after the shop I originally took it too did a horrible job on it. The staff was very friendly and they did a beautiful job on my car. I would recommend this shop to everyone, they are the best around!

Over the past several years, I have used the services of Spencer Auto Body several times. They have amazed me every single time with their professionalism, courtesy, accommodation, and quality of work every time. They have consistently beaten my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with them.
