Stand-By Golf

As a Golf Instructor here in the desert many of my students want to know where they can find the best deals for golf. I always recommend
because they have the best deals, at the best times, at the best courses here in the Coachella Valley!!! You can even book tee times weeks in advance which is great for planning your golf vacation.

Talked to Ana and she helped me with a great golf course at an even better rate!
So happy I found this place. It’s nice to talk to someone knowledgeable with the surrounding area and I always save money!
Definitely will book through them whenever I’m in town!

Got a great deal on a twilight tee time at Tahquitz Creek Resort course. I noticed you have to book a couple weeks in advance to get the best prices and it’s non refundable. But if you are committed to going you can save $ 15 to $ 20 a person. Also I booked and got a $ 20 gift card to PGA Superstore in my email confirmation. Not sure if that happens every time though since I never read anything about it and it just showed up.

We used Stand by Golf for many years and were satisfied until we used their website to make a tee-​time. We called them and got good deals to play several Palm Springs courses. Because of their faulty website, I booked us for two tee-​times, 8:05 and 8:30, for the same morning by mistake. Apparently, when I changed the tee-​time from 8:05 to 8:30 by clicking the back button before I entered my credit card information, the website didn’t recognize the change. I hadn’t received a confirmation email from Stand by Golf, So I didn’t realize I was charged for two tee-​times.
I spoke with Ana in the accounting department and each time she took my cell number and promised to call me back, but she never did. This is simply poor customer service. I suggest that Paul, the owner, does a better job training his staff to handle complaints efficiently.
To this day, I never received a response from Stand by Golf. The golf course, however, has been helpful and offered to let us play again. I tried to file a complaint with BBB, but they’re not listed. I’ll keep trying.
Avoid using Stand by Golf website until it gets fixed.

This is not the prettiest website but it has access to courses (Avondale) that other sites do not. The other awesome part of this company is that they have reasonably priced clubs for rent. I booked my tee time late at night for the next day with no issues and drove to their place of business for club rentals at 7am. I used a nice set of callaway x2 for $ 30 a day, way cheaper than renting at the course. I would recommend this service for anyone wanting to book tee times and rentals.
The only suggestion I have for the company is to allow online club rentals when booking tee times.

Worst website ever! Cannot get any couse info to come up. Person who designed this should be fired. Go back to the old website.

Unbeatable for discounted tee times in the desert. Called 3 days before our trio and got access to tee times I could not get by contacting the courses directly, and at a great price. I will use these guys every trip out to Palm Springs!!!

The only way to go in the valley for booking tee times. They have a new on-​line booking system but unless you know where you want to play give it a pass go. Call these guys since they know which courses are in good shape and which are hurting. They are a wealth of knowledge about course conditions, how challenging courses are and which are the most convenient for you.

My family has been coming down to Palm Desert for 20 years… yep, on the nose. Even before Saved By The Bell featured the Marriott Desert Springs in a cliffhanger holiday episode.
Stand-​By Golf has been our Kelly Kapowski. Strike that… i have no idea what that last line meant. What I should’ve said is that Stand-​By golf is a great way to get a good deal at a few local tracks. Unlike the other discount golf services, this one works best when you call-​in. They’ve always been super friendly and very knowledgeable about the local courses. Curious about the reseeding schedule? Just ask ‘em!
On their recommendation, we played Silver Rock on Christmas Eve day… good deal and great time, even though the scorecard might not have reflected it. And in a few weeks this will be one of the courses in the PGA Bob Hope Classic. Schweet!
