Classics Barber Shop

The haircuts are decent but the barbers are incompetent. The way a true barbershop is run is you are taken care of in the order you arrive. Instead, these un-​professionals make you wait regardless of order to cut their «friends» hair. I was ignored as at least 3 people who walked in after me, without appointments, we sat to get cut before me. I waited almost 2 hours and never received an apology or even acknowledgement. This is not the first time I have been here, but it will be my last.

Ok, this is a barber shop. It has a barber pole, barber chairs, 50s décor and is totally targeted toward men.
BUT, the past two times I have taken my son in (and he always gets a good looking scissor cut for $ 12) I have noticed a couple of women working there. One works in the back, behind a kind of permanent partition, and it looks like a mini salon. There is a sign over the door that reads «Linda’s Corner» so I am guessing that her name is Linda. (I should be a detective)
The other woman is named Lynn. She is about my age, a very hip early-​mid 40s. She works in the front and I’ve only seen her cutting men’s hair while the other guy cuts my son. Anyway, I needed the bottom of my hair straightened up and I didn’t have an appointment anywhere and I am leaving early tomorrow… yada x 3. So I just barged in today and just asked «can you trim just the bottom?»
Long story long, I sat down we started talking and I ended up letting her give me am entirely new style. And I LOVE it. So for $ 12 without the tip, she gave me a cut that would have been $ 50 if I’d had an appointment at my salon. A cut I have been meaning to try for a while… and she did a great job.
I will be back. This place is AWESOME for men’s cuts, stop in and get one. My kid has some Bieberesque thing going and they always get it right. But also don’t be afraid if you’re a woman just in need of a cut… Lynn does an amazing job. Nice people, good stuff.
I don’t know if Linda does it in the back, but I don’t THINK this place does color etc. Just cuts I believe.
