I took my car here because of all the outstanding reviews I read about this place. I’ve had so many bad mechanics work on my car and mess it up or rip me off. I thought I finally found a good place to go and keep going. But I was wrong. My dad always helps me out with car situations, he wants to make sure I’m not being taken advantage of. He called the mechanic to ask for a break down of the bill. Once it was broken down to him, he asked some questions on a couple of the parts. He was put on hold and transferred to the boss of the shop. So my dad asked him the questions. The boss told him that it was too early in the morning to be questioned like this and that he was offended by the way my dad was questioning him. Red flag. My dad just explained why he had these questions, «I’m just making sure my daughter doesn’t get taken advantage of again…» the boss guy told him that they had a good reputation and that they’re honest people. So the question is, if you’re so honest, why couldn’t you just answer his questions? Instead, he got defensive and arrogant. Red flag. So the boss started telling my dad that when he first heard about the car, he didnt even want to work on it because theres been too many hands under the hood. Really? Is that how you do business, you cant work on cars that have gotten work done else where? What does that even mean? How do you expect to get new business? So then the boss says that they won’t work on the car and to come pick it up. My dad said no, I’ll pay the money to get it fixed, all I had were some questions. Still without answering his questions, the boss said okay, we’ll fix it then. About ten minutes later, the boss calls my dad back and says, «I don’t want to work for someone who talks to me like that and who questions me. We are not going to work on the f**kin’ car, come get it.» (Not exaggerating) so when I found out about this, I called the shop to get their side of the story. I told them that I was the paying customer here and my dad was just trying to help. He told me that he won’t be spoken to the way my dad spoke to him and they won’t fix the car. I said I chose you guys because of your 5 star reviews. He goes, well there’s a reason for that. That irritated me because he was so arrogant. I just told him, its my car, I’m the one who would’ve been paying you. He said well I just won’t be abused like that, we won’t be able to do business.
This guy thought questions were abuse. I get that you have a good reputation, but why are you so defensive when people ask questions? You’re in a business where there are a lot of crooks, of course people are going to have questions. I would not recommend this place simply because of the huge attitude problem and their unwillingness to answer questions.
