Inside looks much nicer than the outside — I was expecting a smoky bar and it’s a very pleasant looking sit down restaurant on the inside. Server was pleasant, food is average and overpriced. Not in a hurry to revisit. Portabella mushroom app was disappointing — for $ 10 I was expecting a large portabella(like burger size) — it was small(3 – 4 inches in diameter), topped with cheese, and resting on ½ cup of marina sauce — very odd app, should have included bread or something? Philly Cheese Steak — small portion of bland meat on a very greasy roll. Side salad — small, dressings not homemade, romaine lettuce with a sprinkle of bacon bits. Onion rings were greasy and in a cajun batter = heartburn. Shepherds Pie portion was huge but nothing special. Burger was good but I can get a good burger anyplace.

This is a really nice establishment with quality service. I had the«new girl» and she was on top of everything. Definitely a local spot as everyone seemed to know everyone’s name. Come with an appetite. Started with the calamari app, decently priced, though it could have had a slightly bigger portion. Nice light crisp batter, and the marinara is amazing. The onion rings were plentiful, very crisp and delicious as well, and the dipping sauce was similar to outbac, chilis, etc. But better in my opinion. I had the shrimp and grits, which was full, I mean full of great shrimp, creamy and very good in a large portion. My fiancée had the chicken parm, needless to say it will take 3 days to eat there was so much. The pasta cooked to perfection, and the chicken you could cut with the fork, and again topped With their amazing marinara. Recommend both dishes! We will be back

Tried Ozona Tavern again for the first time after the new ownership. Brunch menu had 4 categories: Eggs and home fries or grits $ 7.95 add bacon or sausage $ 3.00. Omelette. Western: Sorry we are out of green peppers. No other Omelettes $ 8.95 add bacon or sausage $ 3.00. Benedicts: Regular $ 8.95 Florentine $ 9.95 Oscar $ 10.95. French Toast $ 7.95 add bacon or sausage $ 3.00. Really? $ 10.95 for eggs and bacon? Get our food. Hollandaise is separating, strawberry is mushy on plate. Try home fries, can’t get them on the fork cause they are so rubbery. Try chewing them like microwaved cardboard. Chef comes from the back to thank us for coming in. Asks how everything is. I tell him it’s not good. He laughs and says I’ve got to be joking. I tell him no, I’m not joking and tell him to try it. I tell him they taste old. He’s says no way he’s eating off my plate. Well guess what, neither am I. He explains the home fries were made this morning. Well obviously, they taste like they’ve been under the heat lamp for hours. The waitress and chef offer me hash-browns instead. But never mind they don’t have those. Then he takes my plate away. My husband cuts into the middle of his Omelette to find just onions, no ham, no cheese, no substitution for the peppers as offered. So we sit and wait. 10 mins go by without a check back. Maybe if they just ignore us we will go away. Do you not notice us staring at you? Finally flag down the waitress. She offers more toast. We tell her: we are just gonna leave. Walk out. My mistake for giving a second chance.

We dropped in on Saturday afternoon to redeem a Groupon coupon. Initial feeling was positive, but 20 minutes later that changed when we were told that our order«had not printed in the kitchen», and the server apologized for the further delay. The food — a Philly cheese steak sandwich and a pretzel corned beef sandwich was downright lousy! Both the sub roll, and the pretzel bun seemed to be oozing with grease, and were practically inedible. The steak on the Philly wasn’t bad, but the so-called corned beef appeared to be of the«pressed» variety — Yuk!!! Needless to say we won’t be back…

Beyond expectations. Had seared ahi as an appetizer as good as I have had anywhere. My party of four were all happy with Entrées. Service was attentive but not over bearing. Not your typical pub food. Would be nice to see a full bar.

Great Sunday Brunch until 1pm! From traditional eggs with thick bacon, to Eggs Benedict offered 3 different ways, to the Stuffed French Toast that is really yummy, and you can’t pass up $ 3 mimosas to make lazy Sunday morning special with friends, to the friendly wait staff, this place is a hidden secret right off of Alt 19, although now recommended on Trip Advisor. After brunch, NFL Ticket has all the games on their TV’s so next time, it’ll be for lunch or their Italian dinner specials that change weekly.

They have a friendly feel to them. It’s a local hang out for drinks and snacks. I could ha e packed the snacks and had better food. I got a coupon to give the place a try the picture they use is extremely deceptive to what they actually service. chunks of raw onion in the undercooked over salted. grits, and the request was for non Cajon spiced shrimp I wish they would have told me my other option was peppered shrimp. it was cooked perfectly just covered in pepper. I ate them because my husband has this thing where he refuses to take me out if I won’t eat at least half of what I order. the wine was horrible and I don’t know how they managed that except it must be very cheap for them and over priced for the customer 8.50 for one glass and keep in mind I couldn’t drink it I sent it back and was still charged. the cook has no idea what he is doing but everyone seemed happy it had to be the beer. I don’t recommend this place. go to Ozona pig same kind of small town local feel with AMAZING food. disappointed for sure. over all 80 and we didn’t eat half of what we ordered.

Burgers are the way to go! Pasta was lacking, but the burgers rocked. Blue cheese, hangover and turkey burger all were delish!!! iced tea was unfortunately quite weak. Onion rings w ere more batter than onion, and the sauce was so damn spicy that nobody at the table of 5 could eat it. Pretzel bread appetizer was delicious!!!

My friends Glenn and Keith took me to the OT for dinner last week… what a great little place! The owner(Chris, I think) was super charming and was nice enough to make a little table for us even though the place was packed for Valentines Day. He stopped by the table a couple of times to check that everything was going well… sometimes that can be irritating, but with him it just felt like a pal was stopping by the table. Seems like a great guy! While spaghetti and meatballs is probably not the most exciting thing on the menu… Wowsers! That was sauce(called gravy in my family) was fresh and delicious… I could have just eaten it with bread. The meatballs had great taste and texture, but the sausage was a little prize. I don’t usually eat sausage(find it gross really) but I tried it and loved it. The décor seems to be in transition from the bar that it was into a real restaurant… but, I hardly noticed the beer signs once I met the owner and tasted the food. Oh, I didn’t mention the live music… fantastic! The guy singing was awesome but not so loud as to be distracting. Loved it. I’m certainly going to plan on going back to the OT when I’m back in Florida.

I’m surprised no one has heard about this jewel in Ozona. We started with the Cajun Chicken Nachos… We got a mountain of nachos. Fresh tomatoes, blackened chicken home made tortilla chips… Enough food for a dinner for four. I had the spaghetti special. Came with 2 huge meatballs and an an Italian sausage… The sauce was amazing and the meatballs had to be at least quarter pound each, they were fantastic. My wife had the uncle paddy melt, she said it was very good. We shared the cannoli’s, the owners wife made the filling, which was great. All in all a great meal, attentive service at a good price. Can’t wait to go back.

Just recently went back to Ozona Tavern. It appears it’s under new management as the décor and overall vibe seem a little classier. It was quite crowded and the owner or manager could not have been nicer. He was very attentive and checked on us frequently. He gave us the menu of «specials» and got our table ready. This is where things went a little wrong. The menu was different than what we remembered. Good menu, with some interesting options. We never received any other menu, so we figured that was it, and they changed the menu. We waited quite a while, even after our other party arrived, and a server never came. We had to ask a server to please take our order. We ordered a few appetizers and also our meals. After we ordered we noticed a whole bunch of food coming out that we didn’t see on the menu. A little disappointing but I was OK with what I ordered. Others at my table were a little miffed. Apparently there is another menu that we didn’t get. We saw nachos, burgers, sandwiches, fries, and other food coming out that wasn’t on our menu. We waited quite a long time, at least 30 minutes for our food. The appetizers came out with the entrees, which of course is not what we wanted, and they were cold. That was definitely a downer. My salad was quite good, with grilled shrimp on top. The live music was good, the atmosphere is fun and inviting and the manager is very friendly. Our server was slow and inattentive and the timing of our meals left a lot to be desired. The food was very good, and the«special menu» had some great choices. I’m still not sure about the regular menu, if there is one, because we didn’t see it. I wonder if they still have the shrimp and grits that I loved so much. I changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars for now. I’ll go back again and hopefully be able to give a higher rating.

I don’t know if it’s a pub, bar, sports bar, or a restaurant. Seems it’s trying to be «all-in-one» and fails. Playing on the TVs was National Geographic Wild where a watched lions ripping apart a wildebeest. Which I usually don’t mind, but not when I am about to order. And Gators football from the mid-90s. I wasn’t impressed by the menu. Generic bar food and not much to choose from. Finally I got a Guinness and when it came to the table and it was all head.
