As a first time pet owner I have to admit I can be a little neurotic when it comes to strangers watching my dog. I had to buzz to get in (take security seriously here) I was greeted with a fresh spa clean smell and warm greeting from Zach the manager. He showed me around the place and the dogs play area. A surprise came when we headed to the back into the agility area. A large course that dogs get to run thru and get good exercise. The price is right, the haircuts fantastic and the staff warm and jus amazing. Please go and check it out for yourself. If your into bling for your pet they are well stocked. Bacon loves going there and she has many new friends. Oh the AC works great here. No stress for those hot summer days.

We made a 9:00 am appointment to have our two small dogs groomed, and made sure we had them there on time. At 1 pm my wife phoned to ask if they were finally ready to come home, only to be advised that their grooming still hadn’t started! We finally got them 2 hours later (with mediocre cuts, at best). Why does Hyde Park book appointments, and then totally ignore them? Not impressed, and won’t be back —

We’ve been using Hyde Park at Barkingham since they opened last year and have always been satisfied with the results. Our Harriet is a Miniature Schnoodle with a beautiful but difficult long coat and she always comes back looking like a little lamb. Although the reception staff seems to change regularly, the main groomer, Francesca, has been there from the beginning and is thorough and conscientious. I can’t speak to the day-​care since we’ve never used it, but the overall facility is clean and well organized.

I called Hyde Park at Barkingham Palace a week before I needed to go to an event in Palm Springs, and asked if they could watch my dog while I attended an all day event. We agreed that I could come by the day before and submit my vaccine records and have my dog do the $ 25 temperament test. We went over the dates and the time of drop off. She asked when I would be in the day before and I said that I wasn’t sure. The next day I emailed to give my arrival time and ask for a specific appointment for the test. They never wrote back but I wasn’t concerned since we had gone over everything and I was coming in at 1pm, six hours before they closed. I figured we could work it out.
When I arrived Palm Springs the day before my event and called, the woman who answered told me that the «person who does the temperament test didn’t come in today» so I couldn’t come for the test. I explained my situation that I needed to board the dog the next day and had been assured I could do a test that day. She said I could come the next morning at 8am for the test. I told her my event started at 8am and I would need to drop the dog off at 7:30am. She said that the dog that would test with my dog wouldn’t be there until 8am.
At this point, I became frustrated because there was not a hint of an apology or problem solving in what she was saying. I was literally stranded with my dog. I tried to problem solve this with her since she didn’t seem capable. I asked if the person doing the test could come at 7:30am and she said no because it was her! I reminded her that I had called in advance to arrange all of this. And she said «The girl who brings the dog for the test called in sick today and I can’t come in early tomorrow!» I told her my dog goes to the dog park every day, is a lab and does fine with other dogs. She told me lots of people say that. Yup, that’s what she said. No help was coming from her.
I understand that stuff happens, but that is when I expect an apology and an attempt to help the client out, perhaps by coming in early or figuring something out that can work for everyone. By the way, temperament test plus one day of day care was $ 55, so this isn’t a discount experience where you should expect a lax attitude. They lost my business and I won’t be back. They may be great with the dogs, but this nearly ruined my trip. I spent hours on the phone and internet and finally found a place for my dog elsewhere. There I paid $ 30 including temperament test, instead of $ 55, to nice people in a clean facility. I will be going back to Grand Paw on my next visit. Sorry Hyde Park.

Great environment; the whole experience that both my dogs had the pleasure of, great haircuts, perfect grooming, an e-​mail as a reminder for there next vaccinations, how good is that, Thank You !!! So Much, so nice to find an establishment that actually cares about there customers!

I’ve loved this place from the start! The place itself gives off a nice luxury hotel feel. So I went in to get Clyde groomed. He’s a Pomeranian so it is a lot of hair… Chesca the groomer did such a great job, I feel like Clyde had a personal stylist! He looked like a baby lion coming out of there. I took my puppy. Maltese Buku in to trim his nails and Chesca went the extra mile and trimmed the hairs around his eyes and his paws so he doesn’t slide. He turned out even cuter !
Such passionate animal lovers that truly care about your pets. Highly recommended :)

We absolutely love this place! My little Shiba Inu Archer is always taken care of here and always has a blast playing with the other dogs here especially Chloe! The staff already knows us and Archer by name and are always excited when we walk into the lobby and Archer can hardly contain himself as well!
As far as the facility goes it’s as clean as can be. You walk in and there is no smell of dogs at all. They have several play areas to keep the dogs separated by size and I’m guessing play level. They also have an agility course, for extra but well worth it, to get all that extra energy out and challenge your dog physically and mentally which is absolutely amazing!
This place gets an all around 5 stars from me and my family and especially Archer. Whenever it’s too hot out or we have too much going on in the day we know we can bring him here and have peace of mind knowing he is having the time of his little puppy life!

I decided to try this place out since they are new to this city. My dog has been to other doggy day cares and the dog park. Had my dog there for a several hours while I did some errands. When I went to pick him up I noticed he was itching. When I checked him out I found FLEAS! Yes FLEAS! I asked the lady why does my dog have fleas when he had none when I dropped him off. She told me had to have had them and was very rude. I told her my dog has always lived in the desert and has never had fleas and that they must of come from a dog that is not from here, most likely from the beach area. They do not check the dogs for fleas before letting them play with other dogs. So if you want your dog to have FLEAS take them here. So then I had to go give my dog a flea bath. I won’t be going here again!

Francesca Johnson is hands down the best groomer in the desert. She takes superb care of my very shaggy dog. She is gentle and reliable. Barkingham is a beautiful facility.

We brought our little furry friend at Hyde Park for Daycare, it it a clean environment, what I didn’t like is that you can not see the dogs or the place they keep them, we were just shown a empty room and I looked into the window of another room that look like the grooming and I saw a dig laying on the floor all alone.
When leaving your pet somewhere the most important thing is to feel 100% comfortable and unfortunately this place left me a little uncertain about my where my dog was kept and the environment. We are going back to Palm springs every week and a lot of people bring their pets so there is many daycares in that area.

This review is based on my one experience having my 4 lb Chihuahua groomed here. I do not leave my dogs with anyone unless I can stay with my dogs (
) as there are just too many horror stories in the media involving groomers, boarding facilities, and veterinarians/​technicians.
My request to remain with my dog during grooming was fully supported by the woman who groomed my boy. She even got a chair for me. She did an exceptional job handling and grooming my little dog. He remained beautiful for over a week, which has never happened in the past.
I am a convert.

Great doggie daycare location in Palm Springs. They have separate areas for big and small dogs. The staff is really friendly and really cares about the dogs. Our Layla loves going there! Hopefully soon they can add a camera so we can see her playing with all of her puppy friends!

What a fabulous place to send your dog to. I was so excited when the Palm Springs location opened up. Having a new puppy, I want Chanel to be socialized with other dogs. Standard poodles need lots of active time. I work full time during the week so keeping her home alone is not an option. My son takes his Cockapoo there as well as his friend’s dog. The whole staff is nice and caring. I love getting reports about who Chanel played with. The groomer, Francesca, is fabulous. Turns out she went to school with my son. I highly recommend Hyde Place at Barkingham for your dog if you are looking for a clean, friendly, safe environment. They have cool collars, dog clothes and dog food for sale. Go there and take a tour of the place. You’ll be amazed what a class act it is. Tell them Chanel’s Mom referred you.

Just had my two girls groomed for the first time here and I was completely impressed! From the responsive, friendly first phone call to the same greeting upon arrival this is a first class establishment. I was offered & given a tour of the facility, which was fantastic. Clean and cage free, very nice! I can not say enough positive about the entire experience. Oh! And here’s a surprise, they were less than my former groomer. I’m sold! I’ll be back soon :)

These folks are amazing people and really care for the dogs. We have been going to the other location for years now and have never had anything but the BEST experiences. My 3 dogs jump out of the car because they cannot wait to get in… Their grooming makes my dogs look like I can take them to compete in the Westminster Dog Show… My dogs always smile and now when I have friends or family over and need to take the day shopping or running errands, I have a great place in Palm Springs to let my dogs have fun instead of leaving them home alone… Thanks for opening up locally Barkingham Palace

Let’s start by saying this. I really really wanted to like this place.
I was hoping it would be comparable to its Palm Desert location. My first time here was one week after they opened. I was disappointed to see that it was a work in progress. They were in mid construction. Half painted walls with fresh paint smell and electrical wires sticking out of the walls. I was the only person there. I still decided to leave my dog for the day in good faith to establish an early relationship with them.
They over charged my card but were very nice about it and I didn’t mind since I could use it on my next visit.
My second time was similar to the first. A few walls were up but still very much ongoing construction. I asked to have my dog groomed just to find out when I picked her up that the groomer didn’t show up…
My third time there was the last time. I drop my dog for day care on my to work only to find out that they were closed for four days to finish construction. I had to call work and tell them that I will be late while trying to figure out who to call and what to do with my dog. I understand things happen but they could have sent a mass email or call me on my cell. I doubt they had more than a dozen emails all together.
I called their Palm Desert location to talk to the manager but nobody was there but the not very helpful phone attendant who could not care less or even apologize.
Again very disappointed. I had high hopes for this place and Hope they work all the bugs out before reopening.
