Awful — production line eye-care. First and last visit wasted 90+ minutes of my life I won’t get back. The assistant seemed surprised that I didn’t want my eyes dilated, even though I was driving. Just didn’t understand. Not to mention, how does the doctor finesse the prescription once the eyes are dilated? Very sweet/sincere but unable staff. Waited 90 minutes to see the doctor before scooting — when Dr. Schmidt(so out of touch with humanity) saw me on the way out — I said — I am too frustrated to sit through the exam I need now — but I’d like to talk to you briefly to see if you are the doctor for me. He said«talking to me won’t tell you anything», I left stating«you just told me everything I need to know». If you need Lasik or to get hosed for lenses — «that take 7 to 10 days» this might be the place for you. However, Costco might have a better office and service.

As usual I have the best customer service ever from Cathi, At the Palm Springs office !!! Been on all the other offices but you are still the best, your knowledge is just amazing as well as your frame selection, thanks Cathi!!!

I always have a wonderful experience at this office. Dr Yoh and Artesia in the office are great. Very friendly. This time I had to get a new pair of glasses. Kathi was terrific at helping me find the right frames. i love them. I highly recommend this office for all your optical needs. My glasses arrived in 5 business days!

If it wasn’t for the great doctor I wouldn’t come here. Sometimes you just want to have your insurance cover your frames. Once I told the lady that works the glasses area. She said I have nothing for you! Really. She wouldn’t even pay attending to me once I said this. This lady is nasty. Nasty nasty lady!

Sadly this place like so many others unfortunately, is mostly focused on what insurance coverage you have rather than how they may help improve your health. In two visits the receptionist has been what I call«snippy»(most people know what that means). Unless you can afford a $ 200 bill every time you go in, you may want to look elsewhere. Insurance coverage for which I pay $ 800/month and which advertises eye coverage isn’t accepted at Milauskas because it supposedly is a «mirror» plan with Covered CA. How in the heck would a typical patient know this?

Great exam great doctor horrible customer service. two for two. the first time they sent me home with dilated eyes never told me to have someone with me to drive me home. they followed up with a survey where i noted my experience they asked. I got a calll from someon on staff there who said they always tell people that they will need someone to drive them home. the appt person made sure to tell me to be prepared to bring 250 bucks in case my insurance didn’t cover my detailed exam. they let me drive home partially blind and i foolishly did it. Well today i returned to purchase eye glasses and the eyeglass dept does not know what customer service is. there waas a heated discussion with an unhappy customer and the woman waiting on us dropped us to get involved in the heated discussion. thats two for two Milauskas.

Come on folks — is this office or a day school you’re running. After 8 trips to my first doctor last year and he couldn’t get it right(Dr Yoh), I finally switched to Dr Alwes who was pretty good at getting me fitted properly for contact lenses.(monovision) So set up an apt with Alwes again about 3 weeks ago for my yearly check-up only to be called the day before to tell me that the Dr was not going to be in the office that day and could we reschedule. But he was not available for another 2 weeks. So I said OK and scheduled another apt at 4:30pm today Friday June 13(hmmm — Friday the 13th — maybe that explains it!). I had an incredibly busy day and broke my neck to get to the appt on time only to walk in the office and be told that Dr Alwes was not in the office and«did we not call you and tell you that?» Well, NO you didn’t. And if that is the professionalism with which you run your office, then I chose to find an optometrist who is at least moderately considerate of his patients. This office and its staff has never impressed me — and I am even less impressed now.
