Scoot Palm Springs

We had a lot of fun renting from these guys today. John was super cool and made all sorts of helpful suggestions for places we should heck out around town. I’ll be back again next time I’m in town.

Springs man about town. The scooter was AWESOME! Really fun way to tour the mid century modern architecture. The maps were very helpful! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a little fresh air as they romp around town.

Let me first say that this is the first and only time my wife and I have been on scooters to sight see. We would definitely do it again with Scoot Palm Springs! John and Dave are not only friendly and easy going, their local knowledge made our tour even better. They know the hidden gems so ask them where you need to go! The ACE Hotel location is perfect for pick up since most of the cool sights are a short ride away. And, John and Dave were accommodating with when to return the scooters… so you’ll get to see everything. Bottom line… do yourself a favor and rent from Scoot Palm Springs. We will definitely be recommending to friends and family. Thanks a million John and Dave, we’ll be back!

I’ve been visiting Palm Springs my entire life and never experienced it like the way we did today with Scoot Palm Springs! It’s a whole new vision to tour mid century homes and see the mountains up close on two wheels!
Also, John is awesome! He was responsive to my inquiry about renting, early to our appointment and super detailed about the bike and tours. He gives you maps with detailed tours and drops fun facts about Palm Springs.
We had such a great time and can’t wait to go back and spend the day riding these scooters!

Super easy and reasonably priced. The 2 owners are really friendly and set us up with maps, recommendations of where to go and a couple of bottles of water. Was a fantastic way to see the city. Pick up and drop off is at The Ace Hotel, if you’re not staying there it is a quick Über ride from town or the Buzz Shuttle (free) stops right in front. If you’ve never driven a scooter, don’t be nervous, it was only our second time and we felt like old pros. Plus, the owners will work with you to make sure you’re at ease before you set off.

My boyfriend and I rented two 50cc scooters from John and his partner. We had a great time. The price of the rental was great. Next time we will definitely rent the larger 150cc scooters because the 50cc was too slow :)…easy pick up and drop off… we picked them up at 8:00 am, rented for half day and John said bring them back at 3 pm that is way more than half day :) we ended up bringing them back at noon, we were too hot and needed to get into a pool. Being the only scooter rental in PS you would think the price would be a lot more expensive, it isn’t we paid 130.00 for two scooters for that long… it was a good deal… if you are a California resident you need a M1 enforcement or a permit… it’s easy to pass the tear at DMV and I think it costs only 16.00 it’s worth it of your in ps for the weekend.

Great to work with. Easy rental process and excellent customer service. Flexible to meet your schedule. This was easily the most fun part of Palm Springs. The 50cc had enough power to get up to 40mph with two people. The scooters were new and in great shape. Easy pick up, easy drop off, easy to get to everything you could want. Ask about military rates. We are definitely going to be repeat customers.

This was the best part of our trip to Palm Springs. We were a little apprehensive as neither of us had any experience on a scooter. However, both owners were super nice and help us initially get situated. They had two bottles of water ready and a handy maps for the Mid Century Modern Home tour. This is the best way to sight see as you can take your time and if there is something else you want to see, no problem as we had about 5 hours. If possible plan your trip to Indian Canyon as we did this last and didn’t have enough time there. We did stop for lunch in downtown Palm Springs. Also, I say do this first as it gives you an opportunity to scout out the layout of the city and see what you’d like to do later. No need to worry about refilling the gas tank either. I think we ended up using a half of tank of gas, but you don’t have to pay any additional.
Even our initial interaction was good as we spoke with one of the owners over the phone and he was super nice.
You don’t need a license for the scooter, only for the largest bikes, however, someone rated the Scoot lower for this but it’s California law and not their position.

I can’t possibly tell you how awesome my experience with Scoot was! They worked around my schedule and made the rental experience extremely easy and painless. They are also very reasonably priced. Even warned me that I needed my motorcycle permit to drive the scooter. There is no reason to go anywhere else!!!

Excellent experience! Scoot PS provided a nice amount of small touches to make our day great — two water bottles waiting for us, nice maps for self guided tours, etc. Scooters in great shape, tons of fun — all around great time!

So, this could have been a fun time except for the fact that if you are a California resident you need to have a certain Motorcycle license. But, if you are from out of town visiting say from Arizooooona, you don’t. That blows in my book! So, Cali people visiting Palm Springs, make sure you know this before going to try and rent one of these for the day. = (

i try to spend a couple weekends each year in the desert, and the ace is one of my favorite places to stay. after a years or two of looking longingly at the beautiful scooters that are always parked out front, i decided that this time, i would get my m class driving permit and rent a scooter for the afternoon! luckily, the owners explained that with temps reaching 109*, a morning rental would be better (and they were right, by 1pm it was a little too hot to ride), so a friend and i spent a good part of the day scooting around the wonderfully retro neighborhoods of palm springs. the owners of scoot palm springs are some of the nicest guys i have ever met, and you can tell they truly love what they do. they provide helmets, locks, and easy to read maps (the dead celebrity tour is great), make sure to bring your own water bottles and sunscreen. their prices are very reasonable, the scooters are easy to ride (it was my first time and i got the hang of it in less than five minutes), and i can pretty much promise you will have a great time.
