We serve the finest seafood in the desert. Cooked right in front of you by our famous chefs Ricky, Ruben, and David.
Don’t forget the full bar, tended by our mixologists: Barry Baughn, Mike Nagel, and Boston.
Enjoy live music from Barry Baughn’s Blues Band Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 8pm.
We open at 4pm for drinks and 5pm for food! Closing times vary depending on business (but we’re usually open pretty late).
History
Established in 2003.
The legendary Palm Springs «Shanghai Red’s Oyster Bar» was inspired by and, through its décor, nostalgically pays hommage to the original Shanghai Red bar in San Pedro. The original Shanghai Red was the toughest bar in L.A. history, Shanghai Red’s in San Pedro, employed a burly, tattooed woman nicknamed «Cairo Mary» to break up bare-knuckled fights among the sailors returning home after WWII.
