The Andalusian Court

This review is way overdo! I stayed here last July with my husband and we just fell in love the second we walked on the property. Everything about this place is just so perfect. We stayed in Villa 4. Which has the indoor and outdoor tubs and fireplaces. Since there’s a full kitchen with everything included we cooked our meals everyday. Even used the barbecues outside.
The staff was incredibly nice and very accommodating. Everything was very very clean, and just so dang romantic. The worst thing about this place was having to leave! Thank you so much to everyone who works so hard to keep the Andalusian Court gorgeous. Can’t wait to to go back :)

Let me start by saying that the property is beautiful and very peaceful, as mentioned in previous reviews. It was so nice to get away to an «adults only» private place that had all the luxurious amenities and more. Here is a brief review of our stay in Villa 2:
* the outdoor jacuzzi was fabulous! So perfect and much enjoyed.
* although we didn’t cook a meal, it was nice to have a full kitchen at our disposal.
* the beautiful fireplace with candles was so romantic and calming.
* 2 flat screen tvs (one in the living room and one in the bedroom) was great for when my hubby was napping and I just wanted to veg.
Now for the not-​so-​great aspects:
* the bed was so comfy but the blankets were very heavy. We had to toss off the comforter just to feel like we weren’t being trapped underneath them.
* there are a lot of windows in the Villa which would be awesome for natural light if you could keep the blinds open. The Villa borders other aspects of the resort on 3 sides. The kitchen window looks out at the courtyard /​office, so guests checking in and out can look right into your Villa. The other window in the kitchen looks out onto the pool entrance. Again, guests going in and out can look right into your Villa. The windows in the bedroom look out onto the wall that’s adjacent to the parking in front of the resort. The wall is covered in plants and bougainvillea, so vision is mostly hidden, but it still doesn’t feel completely private.
* Because the Villa is directly in the front of the resort and adjacent to the parking, you can hear every noise on the street (loud cars) and every guest parking their cars or checking out and slamming their car doors. The gardeners come Tuesdays 11 am — 3 pm and are very loud. I was a bit disappointed that this was supposed to be a «quiet peaceful hideaway» and it really wasn’t. If we return, it will be to stay in a Villa at the back of the property.
Now to the reason for my 4 stars:
* there was black mold in the shower. LOTS of it, on every wall and the casing around the window. My husband actually smelled it when we first walked into the Villa.
Because of the make of the shower, the drainage is poor and there is no ventilation in the shower area (the windows don’t open). The only ventilation is from the exhaust fan and leaving the bathroom door open. The shower is like a rock cavern, so the steam and hot standing water gets trapped in there and forms mold. It really should be scrubbed with bleach weekly, but you could tell it wasnt.
* the floors were dirty. Throughout the entire Villa. I dripped water on the floor from the jacuzzi and when I wiped it up, the white towel came up brown with dirt. This was from the living room all the way to the bathroom.
I addressed both of these concerns with the manager and she told me they would take care of it, which I appreciated since black mold is such a serious health issue. I also showed her pictures of the mold in the shower.
With the dirt she was a bit surprised and tried to convince me that because it’s the desert, dirt is going to get in and it’s difficult to keep it clean all the time. Ok… but at $ 200+/ nt I expect it to be clean. She did tell me that they would «take care of us» next time we stayed at the resort, which I thought was a nice gesture.
Overall, a nice stay but we probably won’t stay again since my hubby is freaked out about the mold. :(

Elaine at the front desk is super friendly and recommended some locations. Gave a tour of the villa and site itself. Villa has everything needed and more. Definitely worth the price and memories.

We’ve never stayed at the same place in Palm Springs twice but that will change now that we’ve experienced the Andalusian Court. We had stayed in another inn on Arenas Rd previously and I walked past this place saw the magical entry way and investigated further.
As much as I love mid-​century everything, the Spanish Revival architecture really lends itself to a homey, retreat-​like feel. We booked bungalow 8, which does not have an outdoor spa (but with the soaring temps in Palm Springs, I didn’t feel like this was much of a sacrifice) but does have the soaring mountain views being upstairs with the large balcony.
The scent of citrus blossoms mingle with the jasmine and the grounds in general are just swoon-​worthy. Pick a grapefruit off these mature trees in the morning if you wish.
We loved our villa and it afforded us the privacy, rest and relaxation that we craved. There is a European soaking tub as well as a shower in the bathroom. The place is not overly fussy though. My husband loved it. Sometimes places can be too precious and overtly appealing to women and leave men feeling somewhat uncomfortable. This is NOT the case at the Andalusian Court. We both adored it and spent lots of time at the pool and relaxing in the villa and enjoying the balcony and sweeping views.
Bonus points for being walkable to many great restaurants in the heart of Palm Springs. We’ll definitely be back.

We had our wedding at the hotel in March. If you are looking for a place to stay in Palm Springs this hotel is great, the rooms are nice and they are huge. If you are looking for an intimate venue for a wedding in Palm Spring I think you will be hard pressed to find anyplace better. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Everyone working at the hotel is amazing and so helpful. We had forty guests and the division between the garden and pool make two unique spaces, so you are able to turn the grass area from the ceremony into tables and seating for dinner. We are so happy we were able to have our wedding somewhere so beautiful with so much history.

Upon entry my wife and I were speechless… the feeling of peace that this property exudes is priceless!
One can’t purchase peace! It does NOT occur all on its on… it takes constant checks & measures not to mention a creative eye to make it all come together. Kudo’s to the owner & staff!
I am strictly speaking from «personal experience» as a return guest.
I was a bit skeptical when I read April D.‘s Unilocal review. Her review left me a bit baffled …(simply hard to digest it «ALL» occurred) a 3 star Unilocal rating, wow!
Sh#% happens, on the flip side some people would find a dollar bill on the floor and complain it was wrinkled.
She mentioned her «a.c unit» was extremely loud but she was the ONLY guest to EVER complain. Interesting!
First off, why would she copy & paste her Unilocal review unto TripAdvisor, (lazy, bitter, who knows) either way its not cool!
Secondly, the property owner is so detail orientated and meticulous when it comes to the villas & the grounds that he makes my wifes OCD regarding our properties appear normal!
Their is not 1 branch, leaf or 1 piece of furniture out of place. It is more than evident the proprietors take no short cuts, they do it right and it shows.
Brief story:
I called to confirm check-​in times in hopes that my wife & I could check-​in a bit sooner, we got lucky as the villa was ready. What occurs next is my point to the above.
The owner communicates he was waiting on his service guy to fix a candle flame in our villa’s fireplace (I instantly thought, a service guy to fix 1 tiny candle flame) that if we did not mind we could check in early.
YES, he wanted «EVERY» single candle in the fireplace to flicker… if that does not explain my skepticism I don’t know what would! Mind you their are multiple candles lit in the fireplace not to mention a few throughout the living room.
The villa looks killer! The dim lightening, flowers (great touch for the ladies) and the welcome bag filled with sweets, chips & granola bars came in handy!
The effort to detail catapults Andalusian Court above the rest. I booked my family across the way @ The Old Ranch… NO COMPARISON whatsoever on «any» level!
Our villa (#3 our favorite villa as it affords all kinds of privacy) was spotless on our last visit and TODAY it is equally as tidy and as clean, the wife is in heaven!

ANYONE that discounts small businesses when they clearly put fourth so much effort hits a nerve!

it was amazing! quiet.
slept all night — very important since I rarely sleep well on trips.
this place made the trip worthwhile.
exceptionally clean and organized.
within walking distance from the restaurant and shopping.
WiFi was fast. water was Gorin the morning. kitchenette was well equipped. no Bugs.
There were several patios in our suite. It was our little home away from home.
Truly Romantic. Oh, BTW, fresh citrus for the picking from their trees.

Let me start out by saying I have a higher standard when I’m paying $ 300/​night specifically for hotel amenities (Let’s face it, no one stays at a hotel in Palm Springs just because they need a bed to sleep in). The location is walking distance from downtown shops and restaurants, so that’s a plus! There are even horse drawn carriages!
The customer service and amenities at this hotel are amazing. Every detail on the grounds has been meticulously thought out, making it a really great experience to just stroll through. The grounds are locked at night, and you really only see hotel guests (who are barely out of their rooms anyway). There are a number of water fountains, so there’s definitely a zen feeling everywhere. Campfire and meditation grounds are beautiful, but weren’t used during our stay (by anyone). The pool was a good size with enough lounge chairs for everyone. They are also nice enough to provide pool mats and high-​end noodles. The BBQ Grill is VERY clean, and there’s a dining table and fireplace right by the pool. Only downside is they don’t allow any music… which is a good thing for other guests, but even background zen music in the background would make it feel less like you’re sneaking into your neighbor’s pool. In terms of the shared amenities, everything was top notch and I’d highly recommend.
During our visit we stayed in Villa #6, which is right across from the meditation lawn with indirect views of the pool (perfect location). If anyone is curious, the order of rooms front to back is Villas 1 and 2 are right by the entrance (not sure if you hear the gates open and close throughout the night, followed by 4 and I think 5. Villa 4 is right next to the meditation lawn which is nice, but you have to leave your walls to get to your tub and there’s a window into the tub that people could see (I barely saw anyone walking around during our stay, so that shouldn’t be problem). Right by the pool are villas 3, 7 and 8. Villa 8 is right on top of 7, which is kind of weird if you’re using the tub and someone could technically stand on their balcony and watch you. Villa 3 is on the other side of the pool, right by the fireplace and BBQ.
The reason I’ve rated this place «average» is because there were a few issues with our villa that were overlooked and made our stay less appealing/​comfortable. When we arrived, the outdoor tub was dirty with dirt and leaves everywhere. The person at the front desk was nice enough to come by and clean it out a little, but we later realized that leaves, dirt and bugs just fall in when it rains. It would be great if they had a cover for the tub while it isn’t in use. Speaking of tubs, this is one of the only hotels I’ve stayed in that has tubs (both inside and outside) stained with dirt at the bottom grips… if it is serviced every day, the entire tub should be white. Additionally, there were several stains throughout the bathroom that weren’t clean, including shaving cream on the side cabinet by the sink and a large piece of broken glass right in front of the tub (luckily we didn’t step on it and cut ourselves). The bedroom was fine, other than a few sticky spots on the floor. The light fixtures above the bed were a nice touch, although some of the lights were burnt out. The rest of the villa was clean and just as nice as the pictures. The bed was too soft for me (I know, I can’t judge for the bed because some people like soft beds… I’m just a wierdo who gets back problems with soft beds). The one thing that pretty much ruined my desire to ever want to come back is that the air conditioning is sooo LOUD, and none of the windows in the Villa open. The air receiver thing (obviously using technical terms) is right by the bedroom door, so every 30 minutes or so when the A/​C turns on, it’s like a bus driving through the room. I didn’t sleep at all the first night, so I oddly was staring at a handprint on the mirror across from the bed the entire night. If the windows opened, we probably could have turned off the A/​C at night, but unfortunately that wasn’t an option.
Overall, I think this is a great place to stay… I just feel like there should be a little more attention to details in terms of cleanliness within the villa. I don’t know if the A/​C noise can even be fixed, but that definitely was a deal breaker.

Such a beautiful place! Quaint and quiet, and just want we wanted for a weekend getaway. The grounds are gorgeous, and the entire place is very well kept. Will be returning in the future.

Gorgeous. Excellent location. We had a seamless late night check-​in (after midnight). And we couldn’t have walked into a more magical looking place. Stunning at night when all lit. Peaceful place to relax and play! Tiny boutique property does its best to make sure you feel like you’re the only residents. Highly recommend staying here!

The Andalusian has set the bar high for any other hotel I plan to visit in the future. My husband and I were looking for a little relaxing get away in July. He wanted ocean view and a Jacuzzi tub. I searched high and low and everything I came across was either overpriced or didn’t offer everything we wanted. Continued my search and through Unilocal I came across The Andalusian. OMG they really made up for not having an ocean view. We intended on going Friday-​Monday but they were booked up so we checked in Sunday-​Wednesday. It was a good thing we did because they were offering a promotion (which we had no clue about) and we received a night FREE! The nice lady that checked us in really made our day when she told us that.
Okay, so there’s 7 private villas. You would think it’s 8 but I don’t recall seeing a Villa number 5, which I believe they skip from 4 to 6 (unless I missed it). We reserved Villa 7 and it was nothing short of amazing. I believe all of the villas offer an outside Jacuzzi/​Spa tub except Villa 8 because it has a outdoor patio with the pool view. Also, each villa is a little different from the next. None are exactly alike in decro, setup and so on. Outdoor pool that light up at night (beautiful), BBQ area, fire pits and a garden/​meditation type area.
The villas offer a bedroom, living room, full kitchen (w/​dishwasher, dishes, etc), patio areas (ours had 3) and a washer/​dryer! The room smelled so clean and they paid close attention to detail with their setup. Plus, they give you everything you need. Just bring your own food and drinks if you plan to prepare a romantic breakfast, lunch and dinner for you and your better half. And unless you’re planning to good out, you really don’t need a lot of clothes. So pack lite and comfortable and don’t forget your swimsuit because you have the option to enjoy the pool ²⁴⁄₇. As far as your outside Jacuzzi tub, you won’t need anything but a glass and some soft music if you choose because it’s in your own private area… so enjoy. We had a private side gate right outside of our bedroom, to access the pool area.
Oh and villa 8 was above ours and we could hear the maids walking while cleaning the room. I expressed to my husband, if another couple would’ve been up there, it would not have been as peaceful. So we were thankful no one had it reserved. I think if you reserve 7 and someone is in 8, it would be better if it was a couple you know, so the noise don’t become a problem. Oh and our bed needed some WD-​40 (lol). Just with tossing and turning it’s noisy, so can you imagine when you’re trying to make noise what it sounds like ;-). I’m sure that’s an easy fix tho. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return to enjoy the other villas.

If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing vacation then this is it. The Andalusion offers a peaceful atmosphere with only 8 Villas. The adult only policy allows for a great break from the kids. The grounds are beautiful and the room was very clean.

Not only is this place breathtaking, romantic, private and the best place in Palm Springs but it’s truly a gem. It’s the most lush of all the Inn properties around Palm Springs and a couple blocks from the main strip. My husband and I stayed there for New Years and were able to walk to dinner… it was great!
The neighouberhood is perfect to take a nice evening stroll down.
There is a private fire pit in the courtyard of Villa 4 along with a jetted outdoor tub and inside it had an open fireplace so that the Master Bedroom gets the enjoyment of it as well. The bed was SO comfy! The walk-​in shower HUGE and with a big seat to boot. This place is magical and the photos don’t do it enough justice. It felt like we were in another country. It’s views from the pool area were to die for! I will post the photo we took.
They have 8 Villa’s and each one is unique, private and secluded. There a large water fountain that welcomes you in as well as a waterfall well in the middle courtyard that steams and glows. The beauty not only in the day but especially at night makes me feel like a princess in my own Casa Villa!
The owner is extremely nice and customer service oriented. He welcomed us with a warm smile, showed us all around the grounds and pointed out things in the Villa so we knew. I was excited and happy when he pointed out that he had a fruit picker there for guests enjoyment. Not only do they have a white and pink grapefruit tree but there’s orange and lemon trees as well. Fresh picked fruit in the morning, it was wonderful!
The pool area has a huge BBQ outdoor kitchen with fridge and everything you would need as well as all sorts of sitting areas, cute & comfortable. The views are outstanding and there’s a gas fire-​pit as well. Not only is there a firepit in the pool area but there’s one in the meditation garden as well.
This place is everything you want and more!
The Villa’s are stocked with everything; full kitchens, laundry, your private front entrance/​patio as well as your own private courtyard! Coffee, teas, all utensils/​plates/​pots/​glasses including wine & champagne. You get a couple bottles of water and a very nice snack bag to invite you into your new temporary home.
I can’t say enough amazing things about Andalusian Court’s cleanliness, location, grounds, Villa’s and the Customer Service. It’s truly one of the best places I’ve stayed at and I will always stay there now when visiting Palm Springs. Who needs to buy a place there when you can stay at the Andalusian Court! I hear they have weekly and hopefully monthly prices which I am definatly going to check out.

Went for a little romantic getaway this week. We stayed in Villa 1. It’s one of the Villas that has a King Bed. Beautiful large bath tub for two in the master bathroom. Huge living room and full kitchen. We loved the décor. Very elegant. Private outdoor hot tub. This is just such a beautiful place. We want to go back and stay longer next time. It’s also right in the heart of everything so you can walk everywhere if you want to and leave your car parked. We will definitely go back. The manager, Tony, was really nice too. The one small thing we had a challenge with was the wifi signal didn’t work very well in our villa. Not a big deal at all. We didn’t use the internet that much anyway. Go! This place is gorgeous. Totally worth it!

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about the Andalusian Court!!!
My boyfriend and I stayed in Villa 2 for one (way too short) night for a little weekend getaway the last weekend of June. I knew from the moment we stumbled upon this gem via Trip Advisor, this would be our new little slice of paradise. Over the phone, the gentleman that booked the stay for us was so nice! He even put a hold on the room for a few hours until I could get my BF’s OK to book that day.
We were told we could arrive earlier than check-​in time, so we took advantage and got there early in the morning. After taking a walk downtown, the woman in the lobby let us use their restroom to change for the pool. The grounds are beautiful. The attention to detail in the place is extraordinary. Two fire pits, fountains and flowers everywhere, and a pool that makes you feel like you’re not even in California. They provide floats to sunbathe on, which I thought was nice and you rarely see. Now that I’m gushing… I haven’t even gotten to the room yet…
Our Villa was amazing! Everything was so clean. They made us feel right at home with a little welcome goodie bag. Villa 2 has the prettiest bathroom; with stained glass and the salamander tile that you only see out on the grill. Our bed was super comfy! There’s a washer and dryer, fireplace, full kitchen and living room. But, the most incredible part of our stay: the private garden outdoor jacuzzi tub!!! We thought it was a hot tub when we first booked and figured we would rarely use it, but it’s an actual bath with jacuzzi jets. After being a little overheated by the pool it was nice to come back to the villa and soak in a cool tub. During nighttime, when they have the christmas-​style lights on, the bath was soooo relaxing. We cooked steak and lobster on the grill that night and had a nice dinner by the fire pit!
Free parking, close to the main strip and dogs are allowed!
Like I mentioned before, I have nothing but amazing things to say and have referred everyone I know to the Andalusian Court. It’s the perfect, romantic, peaceful couple’s retreat. We plan on going back again next year! Next time, we’re staying more than just one night.

Great location, facilities, management, and very clean.
We will definitely return to this beautiful property the next time we visit Palms Springs.

— We were able to bring our two small dogs with us to stay at the villa. No extra charge for small dogs.
— There is a heated salt water pool (not too big, but enough for a leisure swim). I like this because there is no chlorine in the water unlike many other communal pools.
— There is a large BBQ gas grill at the pool area available. We bought some steaks and chicken from the supermarket nearby and used the BBQ grill to cook our dinner the first night. It was wonderful! We saved money on a meal and were able to eat in the comfort of our own private villa.
About Villa 3:
— Villa 3 has a private entrance that goes into a private court yard with an outdoor jacuzzi bath tub. Really romantic!
— Has an indoor and an «outdoor» shower that is connected to a private back court yard with a table and chairs. That is where we eat our wonderful BBQ dinner because that court yard has a door directly to the pool area and BBQ grill.
— The thermostat works perfectly and we were able to set it at 79 degrees
— The living room is very cozy and has a fireplace

The neighbor to the right of this property complained about our dogs barking and threatened to call the police. But this wasn’t the property’s fault. We placed the dogs outside overnight so that they could relieve themselves in the garden (we were trying to prevent toilet accidents from happening inside the room). Apparently the dogs barked a little and the neighbors were not understanding about it.

I tried to book a room for a romantic getaway but was greeted on the phone by a very rude person who seemed to not want to be at work. So I end up booking a room at a similar hotel called San giuliano which wasn’t my first choice but saw really good reviews. I end up telling myself people have bad days so I’ll call again and a very pleasant girl answered and put me on a waiting list to see if anyone would cancel. I was not offered to be placed on a waiting list the first time. Now I’m kind of conflicted because I have never talked to a rude receptionist so I was kind of appalled. So hopefully in the future I can come back and tell you how great this place is

First time in Palm Springs, and we absolutely loved this place. We went for our wedding anniversary, and it was so perfect. We went Wed. thru Sat., and had the entire grounds to ourselves the first night. It was so quiet and peaceful.
There are no children allowed, and the villas are all pretty separated, so the noise from others is minimal. Our villa shared one wall with the next door villa, but all of our patios and entrances were private. We did the couples’ massage, and it was fun but just OK.
I believe all the rooms have a complete kitchen, and ours was completely stocked with clean dishes, utensils, etc. We were able to cook and eat in when we didn’t feel like going out. The pool was clean, beautiful, and always kept at 85 degrees at all times. It was perfect at being cooler than the hot days, but warm enough to swim in at night. Floaties, towels, and lounge chairs are provided.
We had a private hot tub for two, and I have to say I was very impressed. They give you great bath salts to use in it each day, and I even saw the cleaning lady WASH the tub out with soap every single day. Wow. Usually you try not to think about the stuff in hot tubs when you come to a resort, but here it’s obvious that everything is immaculate. You can observe them sanitizing everything yourself. I’m totally OCD about cleanliness, so if I could give this place 6 stars for that, I would.
The location itself is great, it’s about 3 blocks from the downtown area, so it’s really easy to go to the local Farmers’ Market on Thursday evenings in the summer, or find a good place to eat. Down the road from the tram that takes you to San Jacinto State Park — go hike, it’s beautiful up there and totally worth a day of your trip.
Will return, it’s my new favorite place. Won’t stay anywhere else in Palm Springs.

It is obvious that the owners take great pride in every aspect of their property, and in providing an exceptional, relaxing, and romantic experience for their guests.
My girlfriend and I stayed in Villa 6. It was as if it had been built just that week it was so clean. There is every comfort of home and then some. No detail is forgotten, right down to including a little flashlight and lantern (I guess in case you explore the property at night?)!
The bedroom is romantic and relaxing… the bed was so soft and comfortable… the bath was sparkling, and included both a tub and separate shower.
The kitchen was shiny and clean, with a coffee maker, refrigerator (with ice maker), stove, glasses, etc.
We visited over a weekend that saw temps climbing to 108, and the villa’s A/​C kept us very cool and comfortable.
We took full advantage of the private jacuzzi both late into the night on the day we arrived, as well as on our last morning there. My girlfriend thought to bring some candles (and don’t forget a lighter) and some bath bubbles, and that added to the already romantic and relaxing experience.
Of course we enjoyed the pool too: clean, clear water… comfortable lounge chairs, full grill (with mini-​fridge), vines, flowers (and humming birds enjoying them)… so nice.
The location is great too. It’s right in the heart of downtown near all the shops, bars and restaurants. It’s an easy walk if you feel like it. It’s also very close to Spencer’s restaurant, which I recommend (we had lunch there on the first day and breakfast there on the last day… delicious with wonderful service).
There is parking for the guests, and the twinkling lights at night not only make it pretty, but make it easy to find.

Bottom-​line: We are very fortunate they had a last minute cancelation and that we got to stay here on such short notice. If you’re looking for quiet, relaxing, and romantic, then you can not go wrong staying here.

I’ve never been to Palm springs and was surprised by all the many different lodging options — it was difficult to choose! But I am so glad that we settled on this place!
We booked a weekend stay in Villa #6. Our little villa was perfect for two (or actually 3. didn’t want to leave my dog alone!). It came complete with a kitchen, living room, washer /​dryer, PRIVATE GARDEN JACUZZI, and separate bedroom with his and her closets. Everything was thoughtfully laid out for us, there was even detergent! I loved the soap/​shampoo they provided too, made my hair so soft and shiny. The air conditioning also ran nice and strong which was a big relief in the 100 degree palm springs weather.
When we walked just past our doorstep we were met with beautiful lush garden pathways filled with fragrant flowers & hummingbirds flying around everywhere. It was so scenic and magical. In addition, the main downtown strip was just a short walk away, so convenient!
Our only complaint is we started noticing a burnt rubber smell whenever the air conditioning turned off. We notified management, hopefully they can find the source!
Everything about this place made palm springs a simply magical experience for us.
I love palm springs now and can’t wait to come back!
