I had the Ortega hamburger and my son had the jalapeño burger, it was big, juicy and flavorful. They use 100% Angus beef… yum! The service sucked! I wasn’t greeted when I walked in, I sat myself. The waitress showed up 15 minutes later and took my order. I was there for 45 minutes and saw her once for my food and once for the bill. There was a table of 4 across from me that sat dirty with plates and napkins the whole time… unacceptable. A+ for food, D– for service.

My husband and I have been going there a few Sundays each month for breakfast for a few years and sometimes I meet friends and former co-workers there for lunch. Three stars isn’t an awesome rating so I’d like to specify some pluses and minuses: Pluses: There isn’t another restaurant in town that has friendlier servers than Birdies. They are very nice and attempt to serve promptly. I can tell they are really trying to do a good job. They offer a 55& up 20% discount. The portions are quite adequate. I never feel rushed, even when they are busy(and the service is happening at a good pace.) The food is fresh. Minuses: The service lately has been slooooow. On Monday, 1−11−16, My son and I waited one full hour for our food. I work and I was late getting back to the office. The previous Sunday this happened and I said to my husband«I feel like I was born here!» Our lunch took 1−½ hours. I was hoping it was an aberration but it wasn’t. This seems to be an intermittent problem that they go through every once in awhile. I’ve been there three times in the past two weeks and am about ready to try another place for awhile in hopes that they solve their staffing problem while I take a «Birdies Break.» I know that restaurants have thin profit margins but it doesn’t work in the long run to have few servers or not enough kitchen staff because people won’t come back of it takes forever. The menu is typical coffee shop fare so the expectation of culinary delight isn’t high. I don’t want a coffee-shop meal to turn into a long event. Birdies — if you are reading this — please fix!

We have had lunch at birdies several times. The food has been always good and plenty. Their turkey club is really good and the southwest chicken salad is fantastic. Their inlets are delicious and they make them to order. Service was good every time also.

Good food. Good coupons(buy 1 get 1 free) and«sometimes» good service. Occasionally you will get lousy service and your table will be poorly waited or attended by the lazy girls.

Just had the brunch. Umm. Let me just say this. If you are restaurant owner, and purchase all your food from a restaurant supply delivery service, your food is gonna be just as bad as every other restaurant that uses said supply company. Brunch was cold, eggs were premixed scramble, let’s not forget the thin tasteless fast food bacon they serve. They had«Mexican» eggs that had tortilla chip crumbs and cheese on it(wow, they were so authentic). Then of course the secret biscuits and gravy you have to ask for. I give those a 4. Why you ask, because it’s really hard to screw those up. Then walking in, decided to ask if I seat myself after patiently waiting and watching two wait staff walking by me numerous time. Yes it’s seat yourself. So I take my table, order my drink, and adorn my plate with standard, bland tasting buffet food and the TV next me is playing Dr Pol animal vet while he is elbows deep pulling a baby calf out of a heifer! Sorry and good day.

Great brunch on the weekend. My husband ordered the California omelette with fruit. He said it was good and it looked very nice upon presentation. I had the bacon and eggs with hashbrowns. Everything was cooked perfectly as ordered. Even my hashbrowns which I ordered well done/crispy, I almost never get it the way I order them, but Birdies got it exactly right! Our waitress was sweet, friendly and attentive. Service was excellent! I would have given 5 stars except the gravy on the biscuits and gravy was cold but was very tasty like my grandma would have made. Otherwise, good food and service. Definitely recommend the brunch on the weekend and I’ll come back for that!

Big let down Don’t waste your money on their Sunday brunch! My husband and I have always been curious about the buffet there so today we tried it. The man on the phone told us it was 11.99 but when we got there it was 12.99. Honestly my husband is a fan of buffets and would be willing to pay 20.00. For a decent buffet but the selection of food was so small. When I go to a brunch buffet I expect more of a selection than pancakes, one type of crepes, French toast, eggs, bacon and sausage. And for the lunch part they had chicken ribs and some premixed salad and mashed potatoes. No matter what I chose my plate never totaled up in value to what we paid and not to mention mashed potatoes were watery and coffee tasted like charcoal. Customer service was nice but we won’t be going back to their small overpriced buffet.

Would be nice if the servers understood what you were asking. Called on the phone on a Sunday and asked, «do you serve champagne with your brunch». Was assured by the person on the other end of the line, «yes we are serving it now until 2:00». Cool. Headed over with family for a nice relaxing time. When we got there no champagne and server said several times«I don’t know what you are asking, let me get the manager(I think that’s what she said)» 15 minutes later the manager comes over and informs us they have not served beer, wine or champagne in months! We left. Never going back. Why did you tell us on the phone you served champagne and did not? Go elsewhere.

I love this place. My favorite is the brisket it’s the best I’ve had. I also love the sausage patty its homemade and seasoned just right. I usually go in for brunch and get the all you can eat buffet which has a great selection of food. They deliver too which is so convenient. The staff is amazingly nice. You have to try this place if you have not only.

Don’t let the bad reviews drive you away. A number of those reviews are from the same guy who always complains yet still comes in? Nothing like barreling through your meal then complaining for the free ride. Yes, the ownership recently changed but it will be for the better in the long run. The new owners have the right mindset and ideas to make Birdies a success. They, along with their employees, are extremely helpful and will meet your every need. BTW, I too wish the restaurant was open for dinner and I have expressed my opinion to the new owners.

Recently visited Birdies for their Sunday Brunch. I have been many times in the past and must say I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the food. The price was great but I expected better food. Also servers didn’t have to do much since it was a buffet but they rarely checked on us and we were left with empty drinks quite often.

Ownership changed in 2013, and so did their customer service. Don’t bother to complain if your food is bad, or the order is screwed up, the new owner now runs the golf shop full time. Slowly all us regulars are leaving and my guess in two years it will shutdown. The food may be great most of the time, but when it goes wrong, they won’t comp you and even give you an attitude.

Cool little restaurant attached to a driving range with decent food, if pretty basic. For breakfast, I got the Denver Omelet with tomatoes and rye toast, along with some coffee. It was solid, filling and the staff was nice. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re there for some golf.

Breakfast is good, but lunch is no better than Dennys and more $. Mothers Day Brunch was pretty bad and we wont go again. Too $ and unhealthy. Lots of sugary Cobblers and fruits in syrup. Sorry Mom!

Need somewhere to go play with your Balls… Got the urge to whack off… Head on over to Birdies they have a Restaurant too… You seat yourself and don’t expect dazzling service from the one waitress on staff, got me a coffee and what they call G.G.‘s Monster Burrito which is your standard Breakfast Burrito. Eggs, Hash Browns and your choice of Meat… Bacon of course, they also claim to put Jack and Cheddar cheese although I don’t remember much of either! definitely NO Monster… Eggs were nicely cooked and scrambled, Bacon was nice and crispy, average amount I wish it had more! wasn’t much Hash Browns and they were not Browned and don’t remember tasting cheese at all Burrito was average, definitely no monster and nothing great. Salsa — PASS… You can forget about refills on Coffee, I never saw the waitress again until she brought the check. Don’t worry I left her a little gift on the green. * I think I’m reading too many of Cesar R’s reviews…

I’m giving you two stars because your food services in the past has been great. We just ordered lunch for delivery and your manager/driver Julio did not treat us good. We ordered Chinese Chicken Salad and other stuff for lunch. The salad did not have the right stuff on it and the toast was hard and cold. We contacted Julio within 5 minutes about the order that we received and he refused to hear the issues and stated that he will contact the owner and stop delivery, period. Our order was about 1hr and 30 min late. Julio acted like we were the problem. I don’t know if we will order over the phone again for delivery. Julio Bad Customer Service. PBMC Program Staff
