Great gym I love the convenient hours and variety of equipment. I come here all the time. The staff is super friendly especially Vanessa at the front desk.

Just finished a great water class there’s another one following it looks like they’re trying to change things that’s New water classes new instructors this is a really good thing hopefully they keep they’ll keep the new instructors

I have been a member of this gym since they open… I love the gym and USED to love their zumba classes. In my opinion they need to have more Zumba instructors like Kevin… unfortunately we lost Athena another Great instructor. Please give us more good instructors. Also their Piyo classes with with Brittany are awesome!!! We need more classes.

I came in to this gym from Seattle Washington. I was visiting the area and was able to get a guest pass from my uncle that attends this gym (only one in the area). I’ll start with the over all lay out of the gym.
It had a great open room with many new machines, free weights and a nice pool. Classes looked good (many people attending the class that was going on). No basketball ! Parking lot was easy to find a good spot.
It looked like a old converted Albertsons style of a building.
Now the bad
Customer service was not there from the time i walked in to the time I was waiting for my ID back (they took it until I was done which is understandable). Rep I was waiting on didn’t answer any of my questions. Didn’t know if they had more locations other then that gym he worked at. They have a VIP area with message chairs. Who want to work out for hours then sit I someone’s sweat in a leather chair. I’m sure you have to pay more.
Over all I would look at the 24 hour or another option

Got a call back from the membership manager. He did a great job talking to be about that day and that this is not the image they want to stand behind. Thank you for the call back

Update: I was actually able to get in this time with my 7 day pass. The night before I was denied and sent home when I had just activated my pass. The gym is very nice and not super packed. Pool and hot tub area nice for a cool down.

This is a great gym… I have been a member of 24 hr fitness for several years & the 24hr has become overcrowded & dirty. Inshape is clean, new machines & everyone is nice & helpful. I even signed up for a personal trainer which has never happened and he is also very good. My personal trainer his name is Mervyn, he knows exactly what I need to do to not only lose weight but overall get myself in shape. Looking forward to see the outcome. :)

I am revising my previous review because I received a call from Ivan the general manager to resolve my situation. First things first, I would like to extend my gratitude to Ivan for taking the time out to contact me, the face to face contact showed that the you care about your members concerns and made me happy again to be a member. My situation was resolved and I was also asked about any other concerns regarding the gym. NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Being in customer service myself, I appreciate great customer service. That’s what I received from Josh R. And Jeremy whenever I come to work out. it feels good knowing there’s guys like this to make you feel welcome at this gym. If you’re thinking of signing up and getting an awesome trainer talk to these guys. keep up the good work J & J!

The only reason I go to this gym is because it’s right by my house but, they keep cutting the Piyo so I’m going to switch to 24 because it’s way more affordable and have multiple Piyo classes. In shape need to start offering more PiYo sessions. It’s not fair that this class keeps getting cut. Many people enjoy this work out and needs to be offered more. Before cutting classes the members should be considered and asked about preferences.

Love this gym. I will only go early in the am before 6 or late in the evening after 8pm. Any other time, i will have to wait to use any machine as there are people just sitting around on there phone not actually working out –_–

Tori is awesome! My husband went to get training and Tori helped him out. She didn’t rush us out the door and spent time going over everything with us. She even got me motivated and thinking about doing training myself!

Just awful, very ungrateful, manager forgot that he has a job because of all the customers, but, I guess but I guess for them it’s alright because at the corporate office they are as rude as well

I finally got off my procrastinating pot and stepped into a gym for the first time of my life. Being a novice, it is nice to get some simple questions answered while I’m putting in my routine.
Briana is a friendly approachable personal training manager here that actually makes my gym time easier to bare.
I have met with my PT Toi juan once a week, twice so far. He knows my personal limitations and safely incorporates exercise routines for me that I diligently work out to all week. His work hours are not same as my workout hours, so happy not to feel uncomfortable speaking with another trainer about my progress.
InShape Palmdale East seems to be a committed group of professionals that understand the concept of team work.

Love this gym to the fullest! Been going since it opened… The staff is awesome, child care super convenient and not to mention affordable!
Got my free session with personal trainer Keith last week, he got me motivated and I definitely noticed a big difference in workouts from my normal routine… Soreness to the max the next day! Learned some new workouts that I most definitely will be sticking to… Great experience!

Shout out to Justis Hepburn who’s my personal trainer at In Shape. He works you out hard and helps you get the results. My knowledge of training was quite limited before I started with him. He’s not not only given me results due to working hard but also knowledge on how to work out. I totally recommend him if you are looking for a trainer at In Shape.

I Really enjoy going to this gym. It’s a really convenient location. Close to my house. The machines are really good and the staff is even better. Joseph always greats me at the front desk when I go into the gym. Roy and Frank have always helped me with any problems that are have and are really easy to talk to. Even Ivan (the general manager) is great. They’re always dedicated to their job and keep it professional. The pool is quite nice too and clean. I like using the group X room as well and normally the best hours are after 8pm if you wanna hit the weights.

Haven’t been in the AV long & I’m thankful for this little gem! Coming from an area of with parks & the ocean nearby, Palmdale has taken a bit to get used to… With the heat & having to travel to parks I stumbled across InShape with skepticism after reading the reviews on Unilocal.
Can I just say that MY experience has proven them wrong?
We walked into this place literally blown away by not just the facilities but also their customer service! Prompt, courteous & friendly Roy was on point with giving us a tour (& not the run around). I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the gym & everything it has to offer.
The skinny:
CLEAN & ORDERLY! My OCD dream! seriously though I’m a germaphobe & I can’t stand it when a gym isn’t well maintained. From what I’ve seen the maintenance is great. No gym «smell» you feel me?
Open, airy, bright. Who wants to work out in a cave? I don’t know about you but I’m better motivated when the atmosphere is pleasing.
Affordable. Multiple plans for families. Very CLEAR on the fees being charged. Come on people yearly maintenance fees are for just that, yearly maintenance.
Seemingly decent area for kids with a friendly staff. Large jungle gym for the kiddos. Hopefully my little will enjoy it, lol
Friendly staff, the receptionists have been so sweet.
Only caveat I have is the classes, but it’s the AV in general. I’m a fan of Yoga & there just aren’t that many classes! Would love more choices on days & times at some point.

Since moving over to the east side in shape, I’ve had nothing but good experiences. When it comes to the personal training department I’m very satisfied. Keith and Jack are extremely nice and genuine. They are not in it for the money, they are in it to really help people. Huge difference from the west side. Keith has given me a few sessions already and he kicked my butt. Can’t wait to go back for more. Thank you east side for making up for my bad experience with the west side. See you again soon!
I wanted to add that Erin is always very helpful and nice as well. Always willing to answer questions and not afraid to say hello to anyone who says hi. It’s nice to know there are genuine nice people out there.

great gym, johnny blanco is awesome he gave me a good deal and great customer service. Gym has more than enough equipment and price is super affordable.
