Jeromie R.

Business Owner

Jeromie started learning about construction in High School. By taking ROP Building Construction classes he was able to learn about concrete, footings, steel placement, framing, electrical circuits and more. By the time he graduated High School, Jeromie had his first year of the L.A. Apprenticeship Program certified complete.

He went on into finish carpentry and cabinet making for the next 11 years. His thirst for more knowledge led him into the swimming pool industry where he was able to learn in great detail about structural concrete and engineering. This also led to a great swimming pool companion, patio covers. Designing and constructing patio covers became a new passion for Jeromie. Learning about the different techniques, maintenance issues and engineering concerns in high wind areas was seen as great fun.

It was during this time that Jeromie pursued obtaining his general contractors license and decided to open his own business.

There was some communication issues with salesman in regards to project, the outcome was not what I asked for. After several conversations with the contractor (Jeromie), the issue was fixed and backyard turned out beautiful. Be sure to get all plans and measurements in hand and verified prior to signing the contract. The crew that physically did all the work, were professional and did a fantastic job, thanks guys!

JNR Home Improvement recently upgraded my front yard. I went from a water guzzling lawn to a beautiful drought tolerant landscape.
Jeromie and his crew were awesome! They were very accommodating with my hectic schedule, and were always ready to answer questions or address my concerns.
I believe JNR went above and beyond, modernizing a 25 year old irrigation system to a new, modern, efficient system.
I would highly recommend JNR Home Improvement!

JNR Home Improvements installed a patio cover and a freestanding patio cover for us and they both look great! We are very satisfied with the work they did. They were great from beginning to end. Summer kept us up to date on everything. Thank you for the awesome customer service! They finished the work when they said they would. Installation was quick and their crew worked very hard to make sure they finished in time. They even offered to install a ceiling fan for us. Overall, a great company. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them.

I happened to be on The Boulevard for Farmers Market and saw their booth. The sales associate showed me the artificial turf samples and took my information. Thanks to her telling me about the HERO program I can finally enjoy my back yard! The consultation was no pressure which my husband and I appreciate. When we decided to go ahead the longest part of the process was the paper work. Once supplies were ordered the construction took exactly as long as Jeromie estimated! Between demo and the final clean up –5 days!!! We tried 2 rounds of grass and wasted $ 2k. I wish we had done this sooner. The workers were on time, polite, spoke English and fully cleaned up the job site when they finished. The owner (Jeromie) came multiple times to check on the work and keep us informed. The lead site manager was hard working and polite. I highly recommend this company. I LOVE MY BACKYARD!!!

After posting my review I received a call from the owner of the company, profusely apologizing for their lack of call back. He confirmed he could see the records of my calls, and that my information was passed to a salesperson. He claims to have let go of the salesperson who clearly wasn’t doing their job, but I have no way of confirming this. I will raise my rating from one star to two because I appreciate the owner’s call and apology, however I am still choosing to take my business elsewhere so I can’t comment on their actual work.
I called this company on Monday requesting an estimate for some landscaping I wished to have done. I was told a designer would contact me to schedule a visit and give quote. I was told I would be contacted Monday evening or Tuesday morning at the latest. By late Tuesday afternoon, still no call. So I called again. Again I was told someone would contact me that same evening or the next day. Days later, still nothing. I refuse to call a company and request services three times. I’ll take my business and my money elsewhere.

Very Impressed!!!
I am thankful we chose Jeromie and JNR Home Improvements for our new patio. We had been going back and forth if we were going to invest the money and pull the trigger to get the patio installed. The minute Jeromie came over to give us an estimate, we trusted him. He believed in his company and believed in his product which was obvious in his presentation. He came prepared with pictures of previous jobs, copies of his insurance, and letters of recommendation. He took measurements and very quickly gave us a very reasonable bid and was able to show us different options that were available. Jeromie was not a high pressured sales person which I appreciate. Once the decision was made, he was able to order the materials and schedule an install based on our schedules. The whole job took 2 days. His employees were hard working and pleasant. They even cleaned up each day, which is rare for contractors. We are very pleased with the way the patio turned out and wished we had done it sooner. I highly recommend Jeromie and JNR for all your patio and home improvement needs!!!

I am soooo happy with the job Jeromie did on my home. I decided to replace all my windows and I gave him a call and we set up an appointment for an estimate and I am glad I went with him. He gave a very fair estimate and even did the work himself! He seemed very trustworthy and honest, I wasn’t even home when he did the installation! I would highly recommend him for any job, A+!! Thank you again for the beautiful job Jeromie, my house looks amazing now! :))
