History

Established in 2006.

In 2006, Tanya & Cheryl opened Life’s Memories & More on a wing and a prayer. They used to go on scrapbook adventures and the last «trip» they took to find a well-talked about store, they found it out of business. At that moment they joked that they should open up their own store.. . a few months later Life’s Memories & More was born.

The store opened its doors to family and friends on July 8, 2006 and the grand opening on July 22, 2006. The store & classroom space started in one room in Schoolhouse Commons with the irony being Tanya and Cheryl were high school teachers. By October, 2006 the store expanded into a room across the hall and the original space was retained for classes, crops and events.

Cheryl left in 2008, but continues to participate in events and teach classes while Tanya left teaching in 2010 and is a permanent fixture at the store. Life’s Memories & More family has grown to include many wonderful friends and volunteers who help keep everything going.

Meet the Business Owner

Tanya B.

Business Owner

Coming from a family of creativity and small business owners (art teachers, tole painters, carpenters, computer programmers, etc.) it was only natural that Tanya should end up utilizing not only her degrees in Business Administration and certifications in education and information technology, but her love of crafting and creative expression to start Life’s Memories & More. Growing up she dabbled in counted cross-stitch, loom knitting, quilling, reverse glass painting, and scrapbooking before it was cool.

Paper crafts seem to allow Tanya to mix her love of technology and art in various forms including scrapbooking, mixed media, and altered art. She has created a fun and welcoming environment that not only taps into people’s creativity, but is known to be a jack of all trades and master problem solver from assisting younger customers with their school projects to the bride-to-be with save-the-dates, invitations, and favors.
