History

Established in 1925.

Thorndike Mills was established in 1925 by G.M. Garabedian as a manufacturer of Hand Loomed Rugs. As time went on, manufacturing evolved by adding power looms, which then eventually to what they are known for today… quality braided rugs. Thorndike Mills braided rugs are one of the few manufacturers left in the country producing this category of flooring… But, the only manufacture of true Cloth Braided rugs.

Thorndike Mills Carpet and Rug Outlet, is a full service floor covering store, where you can find closeout and discontinued styles of our braided rugs made on the premise, as well as a full selection of residential and commercial floor coverings including Oriental Rugs, Wall to Wall Carpeting, Wood and Linoleum.
