Our quaint little establishment is located in the heart of downtown Palmerton.

We take great pride in preparing our food fresh every day with local farm fresh ingredients. We started this restaurant to offer a little something for everyone. Whether it’s homemade soups on those cold winter days or a fresh salad or wrap for the health conscious eaters. We also offer a variety of Paninis (grilled sandwiches) and sandwiches that appeal to all. We are a family establishment and offer a kid’s menu for our young eaters. And we didn’t want to forget the good old fashioned hot dog with a variety of toppings.

We have a full catering menu for all types of events big and small.

Food is good, people very friendly. But ordered two eggs with cheese, not a sandwich, and they charged me the same price as if I ordered a sandwich. I think charging somebody $ 3.00 for two scrambled eggs with cheese is a little ridiculous

I recently returned to Balch’s for lunch and am still impressed with the quality of the food. Everything I had was delicious, fresh and homemade. Love how diverse the menu is — something for everyone. My toddler loves the chicken lemon orzo soup! The macaroni salad is really good (not too heavy on the mayo which I liked) and the BLT panini was made perfect — so glad the tomato was fresh and not mushy like some places. Can’t say enough about this place. Very clean, very welcoming family-​oriented place with great food and service. Can’t wait to try something new the next time!

I’m not a soup or salad kinda guy. This place has the best breakfast sandwiches. The prices are very cheap. I give them a call and they have my order ready to go. They have modern registers so credit cards are no issue. Give this place try, unless you need to lose weight.

Great place! I am passing by and really wanted a fresh salad. I ordered the mandarin chicken — it was made from scratch for me, all fresh ingredients. I even got to pick my greens. Very pleasant staff too.
I wish I had a place like this near my house.
I hope to stop by on my way back and hopefully take a photo before I gobble it up!

The soup is always watery and salads are mushy. The meats they use for paninis and wraps are over processed and disgusting. I wanted to like this place and gave it quite a few chances but it was gross more often than not.
