History

Established in 1998.

For 14 years, 90% percent of her business has been concentrating on newborns and newborns with their family (verses a photographer that photographs 10% newborns and 90% weddings, birthday parties, sports, maternity, corporate, glamour, etc.).

Photography started for me at age 15. My father started cleaning out the old stuff in the attic and down came his old photographic darkroom equipment. Knowing I would be curious, he was patient and waited for me to ask him what this old junk was. When I did, he jumped at the chance to demonstrate his old treasures. It was magical; here was a piece of paper exposed to light that slowly made a picture. His old treasures soon became my new treasures. I suppose, now, looking back at his timing for cleaning out the attic; this must have been a ploy to distract my attention from boys and missing my brother leaving for the military. He was successful. As soon as my brother left for the military, a darkroom and studio took over his old bedroom. Soon, I was deep into the world of chemicals and darkness watching magic on paper turn in to pictures; what fun! I’d shoot a roll of film, develop and print the pictures right away.
