My wife and I finished the 21 purification diet 6 days ago and only beginning to feel better.
The diet was horrendous. Unpleasant to consume the shakes, super expensive to get organic foods and worst of all, instead of making us feel well, we felt like we had the flu.
We were told to expect headaches during the first 3 days.
Ours were continuous for 8 – 9 days.
We were tired, weak and imitable throughout the 3 weeks.
We did lose some weight. But could have lost more without the program.
It left us too tired to exercise. After 2 weeks, when we did, we had to decrease weight substantially in our resistance workouts. And had to skip cardio altogether.
The «SP Complete» was far from complete. Besides all the other things that had to be added and all the capsules (21 a day) that had to be taken, I had to buy 2 containers of protein powder from them as the SP Complete only had 10g per serving.
This would cause a great amount of muscle loss on such a diet. So, increasing the protein was essential.
We spent a fortune on organic produce, chicken, etc to be sure we were following the plan to the fullest.
But to have all that expense and all the unpleasantness leave us feeling worse rather than better is just awful.

SNACKS!
Without them your cleanse is destined to fail, especially between days 6 and 17. The following is a stable of preservative and sugar free, all natural foods:
1. Fresh Market: dried vegetable chips, stuffed olives, almond butter paste, pumpkin seeds.
2. Rouse’s: clementines, almonds, honey crisp apples, carrot chips.
MUSTARDS!
The ambrosia of clean eating. They can be used for dipping and flavor instead of cream sauces, mayonnaise, etc. But you have to read the labels (e.g. Zatarain’s Creole mustard has tons of preservatives and twice the calories; Rouse’s generic is all natural, nutritionally superior and cheaper). Most of those shown in the attached photo are 0 calories, have no sugar and the generics all cost less than $ 1.50. Some great finds ranked:

A total find this year. The store makes fresh daily preservative free chicken entrées like kabobs and stuffed whole fryers ready for cooking. But the real stars are the preservative free, chicken sausages mixed with jalapeños, green onion or pineapple. They’re quick to prepare for a post workout shot of protein and inexpensive! Four filling sausages cost just $ 5 or so.
TAQUERIA GUERRERO’S JALAPEÑO SAUCE!
Sold at the counter $ 5 for a 12 ounce cup. If you haven’t tried this delicious house prepared thick, spicy marvel you’re missing out. Now because it is a secret recipe I don’t know how preservative free it is, but all online preparations call for just roasted peppers, boiled and then emulsified in a blender with some oil and spices. It’s awesome in sticky brown rice with sautéed veggies, or on jalapeño sausages.
