Total ripoff. $ 2.69 for a kids cone with one tiny scoop. Come on Baskin Robbins, you’ve got to provide a better value than that!

While at BR the other day with my 13 month grandson, I witnessed an employee lick his fingers while handling hot fudge, then grab some gummy treats from the jar, and then proceed to handle a cone with his bare fingers, I observed this AFTER we ordered and while eating. The employees need to know how to handle food following health and sanitary guidelines.

Love this store because of its location and its freindly staffs.
even though, they hire mostly students to work in this store. their staffs are well trained and offers good service to their customers. great job, guys !!
The location is less than 2 miles from my house.
on weekend, my kids n us will bike there to enjoy an ice cream on a lazy saturday.

Wow… always go here for it is in my neighborhood. They would not accept my son’s free B/​D cone certificate for it was 3 days past his day. I was going to get a soft serve… OH WELL! I will get a fancy caffe’ for that price somewhere else. He got his cone and I paid. I asked about a carb count for this flavor. «No I am sorry we do not have it» I have rec. them at the Menlo Park B.R. The next visit my husband met the manager and he knew exactly where to find the info in the store. Thank you for that.
well customer service is really important to me. there are many places to get a really great cone here!

Wow, this Baskin & Robins is still here. It was here when I was a child.
My friend and I stopped here the other day at lunch time to take in a scoop or two. I had two scoops, mint chocolate chip on the bottom and banana nut on a sugar cone.
As much as I love Baskin Robbins this was the first time that Baskin & Robbin’s ice cream tasted differen to met. Believe me, I have had a lot of Baskin & Robbins in my time. The mint chocolate chip tasted way different then I’m use to at Baskin Robbins… hummm makes me wonder if my ice cream really was B & R.
A Baskin & Robbins connoisseur such as myself can distinguish the difference in taste.
You can bet I won’t be going back to this shop for ice cream again.

Just called the store to request a special birthday cake for one of my business colleagues. The scooper (I sure hope it wasn’t the owner) was rude and had a horrible customer service attitude. I asked about a specific cake displayed on the BR website. He told me I could come to the store and see the cake and hung up on me.
I promptly called the Menlo Park store on Santa Cruz and had a completely delightful experience. They did not have the cake but offered to call other locations to get one. They answered all of my questions and were very pleasant.

the smell when you walk in a Baskins Robbins always puts me off, and this one is no exception. But the service is good, the ice cream not half bad, and the counter help is patient, which means a lot when you go in with kids.
Wish they had a bathroom or at least a sink where the kids could wash up – they are invariably a sticky mess after eating ice cream.

Great service here, the employees are prompt and know what they are doing. I go here for sundaes and milk shakes and they make them much quicker than I was accustomed to from the Baskin Robbins that I used to go to in the North Bay.

What flavor ice cream is «Wild & Reckless?» Let me tell you, whatever it is, it isn’t natural. In fact, it glows neon green. Like a toxic frog. Or radioactive nuclear byproducts. Neon.
What ingredients are in that particular kind of «healthy» sherbet? Why, there are lemons, oranges, limes, fruit punch, pineapple… PAUSE … what the hell kind of ingredient is fruit punch? Isn’t that the point of sherbet — a combination of fruits? What was in the fruit juice? I’m still so confused.
And then I asked about some promotion that they were doing, and the guy could barely utter an «I Dont Know.» I tried to explain — «This extra star thing here that says ‘Bright Choice,’ what does that mean??» He barely grunted.
Then my friend asked how many calories were in something. He looked at her like she was insane.
I took my toxic ice cream, walked outside, where a business man was talking to himself and pacing about, and I decided perhaps it was just an off day for BR. Or maybe a full moon? Or maybe just crappy ice cream and service.

Once a year, Baskin Robbins has 31 cent scoop night from 5PM to 10PM. At the end of the promotion, BR will donate $ 100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which is a worthy cause.
We came to get some ice cream during this promotion. The limit is 3 scoops, but I figured I couldn’t eat that much ice cream before dinner so I stuck with 2 scoops and a sugar cone. I got an old favorite, Pistachio Almond and tried a new flavor, Cherries Jubilee. Both were pretty good, but I started to wonder as I stood among masses of children and their parents whether the kiddies love BR so much because their ice cream is all sorts of crazy colors. My pistachio almond scoop was a bright atomic green, probably due to food coloring and other stuff I can’t pronounce. Maybe I should stick to desserts that have more natural ingredients.
If you’re feeling like ice cream, BR will do in a pinch.
*I do love their Love Potion #31 (shout-​out to an old Sandra Bullock movie!) flavor: white chocolate and raspberry ice creams swirled with a raspberry ribbon, raspberry-​filled chocolate hearts, and chocolate chips; sad that it’s only a seasonal flavor

Two horrible experiences at the Baskin Robbins in Midtown! First time I ordered a strawberry shake that had next to no strawberry flavor — when I asked the clerk to add some more strawberry to it he flat out refused and started yelling at me angrily in Chinese!
Today, I stopped in at lunch time for the $ 1 advertised scoop. The clerk told me the special was only good after 5PM. I returned with my family around 7:30 PM and the clerks told me they had now cancelled the offer. The two clerks finally agreed to honor the advertised price when I told them it was against the law to advertise something and not honor it.
This place used to have real great service. I think with the new owners all they want is your money and that they don’t give a damn about customer service or customer experience.

So it was my friend’s bday and I wanted to get an ice cream cake. So I go the the Baskin Robbin’s website and they have ice cream cakes starting at $ 9.99. Great I thought to myself, it going to be cheap.
Well I get to the baskin robbins in PALO ALTO, and on the freezer there is a sign that says ice cream cake special, cakes starting at $ 12.99. wha? what happened to 9.99? oh that’s rite, I’m in Shallo Alto, where the people are deemed rich and they charge you more than everywhere else. sigh.
It’s more expensive than the advertised price…

i really hate this store. I have been going to Baskin Robbins since i was a kid, back when they used to have drinking fountains in every store … that may mean something to people who know.
This store has always been a problem. First a few years ago they started to turn down the refrigeration probably to save on the electricity bill, but the ice cream was too soft and sweaty. I commented more than once and then stopped going.
Occasionally I stop in for an ice cream and the last time I did the guy actually weighed the scoops and put some ice cream back into the container. Then he overcharged me because the next time I went in and got the same thing the price was less?
Non English speakers with an attitude, bad service. This place used to be a regular B&R31 Flavors a long time ago, now it is a joke. I just refuse to go their anymore.
Also, it is hard to park here, and the service is very slow as well. I guess there are enough kids in the local neighborhood that go there that they do not care about adult customers.
The best 31 flavors in the area is in Sunnyvale on El Camino. The Asian guy who owns it is a very nice man, and he is there until late at night and will open the doors to anyone almost anytime to get some ice cream. That kind of politeness and dedication to customers is unheard of and that is the only place I will go for 31 flavors at this point.

Wanna learn a fun party trick?
Here’s how you can turn your preschooler’s poop BRIGHT FLUORESCENT GREEN:
1. Take him to Baskin Robbins for a scoop of SplishSplash ® sherbet. (You can’t miss it – it’s BLUE.)
2. Give him lots of prunes and/​or other fiber-​packed treats.
3. Plop him on the can when he feels the urge, and VOILA — TOXIC GREEN FECES!
It’s just like science or art class — the bright blue sherbet combines with yellow bile in his gut and makes him crap out a slimy emerald log. Pretty awesome and scary at the same time. (But still: us Asians LOVE jade — so pretty!)
I do have a special fondness for BR because I was raised on a steady diet of Jamoca Almond Fudge and mint chip ice cream. And they now sell soft serve, which — when done right — I love (see my Sketch review). Plus, if you join BR’s birthday club online, you get a kid cone for free on your birthday.
BUT, not only will this stuff give you a big (ger) butt and potentially technicolor shit, it’s also chock full of chemical ungoodness. The ingredients are just like the ones listed in the old school Breyers commercials: «partially hydrogenated palm kernel oil, propylene glycol ester, cellulose gum, mono and diglycerides, guar gum, etc.» Ick.
The stuff may taste okay, but there are way better options for frozen sweets in the neighborhood (e.g. Culture, Rick’s, Fraiche, etc.). Plus, your crap won’t glow like Kryptonite afterwards.

Wow, crazy to see the low rating. Even in the rainy, dreary day, the guy behind the counter was as friendly as ever. Again, I maybe the only person who eats the 31^st flavor, which is the Pistachio Almond.

As a fat guy, I feel that it’s my duty to compare the various chain stores for some of the more Pudgy-​people friendly places. I’ve spent a lot of time at various B-​Rs in the Bay Area, more in the South Bay, but also up the Pennisula. As a guy who seriously prefers real Ice Cream to FroYo, Baskin-​Robbins is one of the places that is most available, and several of the stores are very good, including the Los Gatos, Santa Clara Homestead and Campbell Ave locations. The Paly one ain’t up to that standard.
Now, with a chain, you can’t really judge the quality of the product, as it’s almost always largely the same. The Peanut Butter & Chocolate is just like the one they have at the other ones. The real differences are in service and in the way the places are put together. This store lay-​out ain’t bad, but it’s not spectacular either. The one in Campbell at the El Paseo is easily the winner in that respect, but this is OK. The service is weak. They made very small scoop sundaes and put very little Hot Fudge on it. That’s the important thing. The one in Santa Clara smoothers the sundaes in the stuff and that’s what makes it great.
B+R was one of the first to regularly list potential alergy alerts because of the amount of nuts they use. They also post of anything is not kosher, whcih is less of the menu than I thought. That’s a very good touch.
Still, this one ain’t the best, or even in the top 20, in the Bay Area.

So this isn’t premium ice cream, but it’s ice cream.
I love LOVE slow death by frozen cream and sugar.
Yes, a scoop of peanut butter ice cream is just that. vanilla with reece’s pieces, but it’s still so good. Love the coupons and sundaes at the BR can’t be beat!

Not sure if the place is under new ownership or what the deal is.
I ordered an ice cream cake from them for fathers day. The employee who took my order spoke about three words of english… it wouldn’t have been a big deal if my order was made correctly…
When i picked up my order they had trouble finding it… i made sure to look at the order form (to ensure the flavors were correct). The cake looked hideous. The colors for frosting and décor were out of the 70’s. Once again, not a big deal if the flavors were correct. Three hours later we cut into the cake and the flavors were wrong. Horrible!!! I didn’t call to complain. They would have just been confused.
Word of advise… good for scoops, bad for ice cream cakes.

I only came here because of that 31 cents per scoop day thing they do once a year. i felt bad for the kids working behind the counter that day. they were in scoop hell. i liked baseball nut a lot. the cherry was too sweet. 31 cents a scoop is a good deal, but their normal price of like $ 3 per scoop is an insane rip.

I took my boys to this BR for the first time yesterday. Overall it was a pretty standard BR experience with fine ice cream, a «cozy» layout and indifferent service.
My cookie dough ice cream was a pretty big step down from the version I get at Rick’s, but that did not stop me from devouring the thing. My little guys, as you might expect, did not notice any quality difference, and happily covered their chins and noses with theirs (chocolate and cherry).
Plus one BIG star for the allergy-​friendly labels that Baskin Robbins applies to all ice creams in the store. I wish Rick’s and some of the area’s other indie creameries would take a note.
