Ben Ruiz Tree & Landscaping Contractor

This all starts with an avocado seed, planted many years ago (there’s also a pomegranate tree, more of a bush really, whose story isn’t all that interesting so it won’t get any further mention). It grew into a nice little tree that was planted but then died away because of the unusually cold winter last year. I thought it was lost but alas I was wrong, for it grew back the following spring and continued to grow for about 2 years until I had it uprooted a few days ago. It is not very big at all, maybe 6 ½ or 7 feet tall.
Anyways, after calling the first business to show up in my area (Tree Movers), Ted gave me Felipe’s number because he wasn’t available, and initially Felipe wasn’t either.
So, I googled away and found several other businesses that offered the services I needed. I scheduled a few appointments for estimates and off I went about my own business until the time for those appointments.
I won’t sully this review with the negativity of the unworthy, so I’d say check out the reviews I wrote on a few of the others.
I digress, Felipe ended up texting me right before I finalized with another business. He came out and looked at my trees, then gave me an unbelievably low number, as I had already had several estimates, I honestly couldn’t believe the number he gave me. Even after he gave it to me he tried to lower it because he thought I would think him crazy for giving me such a high number. Suspicious, I questioned him to make sure he understood exactly what I wanted, and of course he had. I went ahead and arranged to have him and his guys do the work and it was honestly the best choice I could have made. Ever.
Everyone and I mean everyone I talked to (about 5 different businesses, 2 others I wrote reviews on), offered to do the same exact job but for almost 10 times the price. No bullsh**. I had one company tell me they charged $ 75 per hour per person and they would need to send out at least 3 guys and it would take at least 4 hours. Crazy sauce. Again, I digress, Felipe and his guys came over and did the job in 20 f***ing minutes. I gave em each an extra $ 20 for being so damn awesome, increasing the cost by more than 50% but f*** it, especially since I almost paid so much more than that.
These guys are the best! If I ever have any more landscaping needs I will definitely give these guys a ring. Thanks again, Felipe! Tell your boss thanks again too!

All they did was grind out several stumps, but they were efficient and courteous and by the way, did a great job. I would consider using them again for a landscaping job.

ben, felipe and team are wonderful to work with. reliable and resourceful, i especially appreciate their proactive garden care. they also genuinely care about their customers and their well being.
