We kept running into Eggsposure Photography at our friends’ various weddings, and wedding after wedding, we saw incredible candids of ourselves throughout these other weddings. We figured that if he can make our candids look that good, our wedding photos would be amazing! AND THEY WERE! Our friends keep remarking on how both our engagement and wedding photos look super professional and capture the soul and emotion of all the subjects within them. Eggsposure not only does a great technical job, but James is an easy person to work with. He responds quickly, works with us on our budget, and gives good direction to make us get out of feeling awkward when shooting photos.

My husband and I hired James and his team to photograph our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with our decision! The photographs are absolutely beautiful and do a phenomenal job of capturing the feeling of our wedding/​reception. Looking back none of us can even remember James and his stealthy sidekick taking photographs (which is a good thing since most of my friends/​family/​myself included become extra awkward in front of a camera). Throughout the day/​evening James was super go-​with-​the-​flow, and we never felt pressured into taking photos we didn’t want or posing. We received our edited high-​resolution photos very soon after our wedding. James’ pricing is EXTREMELY reasonable, especially for the Monterey area. We truly loved his natural, photo-​journalistic style which allowed us to act and feel like ourselves throughout our wedding and reception. This is one wedding-​related decision that we would make over and over and over again! Do yourself a favor and make sure you hire James for your event ASAP before he is all booked up!

We just celebrated my husband’s 70^th birthday party in the San Francisco Bay on board Commodore Cruise’s Cabernet Sauvignon Yacht. James was recommended to us by a very dear friend and we are so grateful that she introduced us to James.
The pictures are great!!! It gave us a very good appreciation of candid photography. When we look at each photo it made us feel like we are right there on the boat but these time having seen everyone’s smiles and laughter. Truly amazing to be able to relive the moments of that day through James eyes and camera lens. We feel humbled to be able to host that kind of party with our dear family, relatives and friends and are very grateful to James for having captured the moments of sheer joy, delight, excitement and friendship.

James and his assistant did a really great job leading up to, as well as on the day of, our wedding. He is extremely responsive, well organized, punctual, and very nice. We sent out requests for many photographers and were pretty shocked what some companies charged to shoot a wedding. Eggsposure has very good prices, and even did a free engagement shoot as a trial run/​part of the deal. James also met us at our venue a couple weeks ahead of time to pick out the best spots for posed photos, and guided us through the process of planning out our must-​have photos, so we could fit them in between the ceremony and reception. We were so impressed with the photos from the engagement shoot, we knew we had made the right choice for our wedding photography.
Once the ceremony got underway you hardly knew James and his assistant were there. They are photo-​ninjas, and get good shots without being pushy or blocking the view of guests. Even for posed photos, James is helpful to get good shots, without being very demanding, and was happy to try shots that we suggested (no matter how silly). When we got our photos back (only two weeks after the wedding!) we were very impressed.

We found James on Unilocal and were impressed by the great reviews and his photos on his website. James did a 1 hour graduation photo shoot on campus for our daughter and her friend in June 2015. The pictures turned out AMAZING! He took serious as well as fun poses in still and action shots; and captured the girls on several landmark locations on campus beautifully.
Our daughter will have wonderful memories of graduation forever, thanks to James. He was professional, punctual and quickly delivered edited, beautiful images.

James was our photographer for our engagement photo shoot and our Indian wedding ceremony, as well as for a fairy-​tale themed photo shoot (my wife’s idea).
James is great to work with, is open-​minded, and flexible. Our wedding was the first Indian one that he did, but James was quick to catch on to the important parts and the photos turned out amazing.
You can tell by the photos that James does not consider this a job, but that he truly enjoys photography.
As an example of his creativity, during one of our photo shoots, James brought two cameras, and the lens of one was covered with cellophane. This had the effects of changing the colors in a great way, and also blurring out the perimeters of the photos.
I highly recommend James for your next important event. My family and friends now all use James and are all very happy with his work.

We hired James to photograph our daughter’s doljanchi, a big celebration of a baby’s first birthday in Korean culture, and we couldn’t be more pleased. From the initial inquiry all the way through to receiving the final pictures, James’s service was top-​notch and extremely professional. As others have mentioned, James is able to «blend» into the background while capturing all the important moments — so much so that at points we forgot that he was even there. We used Jamie to photograph our twins’ 1^st birthday party, and we could not be happier! He is a consummate professional, and we really loved working with him. (We just wish we had found him earlier, when we were getting married!).
1) «There, But Not There.» Jamie is like that waiter at the high-​class dining establishment that you don’t even realize is there, but somehow the food + drinks magically appear before you. Many of the shots he captured were «moments» that would have easily been lost if not for his eagle-​sharp eyes. When you get your pictures, I’m pretty sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
2) Amazing Quality, Even Better Prices. Unlike most Bay Area photographers, Jamie doesn’t ask for your arm/​leg for great pictures. We’ve hired some pretty expensive photographers, and I’ve learned that «you get what you pay for» isn’t always true in the photography space. With Jamie, you’re on the better side of that equation.
3) Easy To Work With. His attention to detail speak to his professionalism, but his personality speaks to his ability to «fit» with almost anyone he meets. You’ll know when you meet him, but Jamie finds a way to make what could be a pretty stressful process frustration-​free and quite enjoyable.

My then-​fiancé and I chose Eggsposure Photography for our engagement session and wedding after strong referral from a friend, and we couldn’t be happier! Initially and because we’re just kind of awkward together in photos, we were worried that the awkwardness would only escalate when a third person tells you to gaze soulfully into each others eyes. But meeting with Jamie totally assuaged our fears. Not only is Jamie very easy going, but his documentary photography style captures moments in a way that is beautifully candid and unforced. The engagement turned out to be so much fun, and it simply felt like a good friend (who just happened to have a way with capturing you in perfect natural lighting) was taking the photos.
After the great engagement experience, we already knew Jamie would do a wonderful job capturing the wedding, but boy, did he deliver! On the day of, he also brought his assistant to help him, and she was amazing to work with as well. First, Jamie went out of his way to capture the pre-​ceremony getting ready. After that, my memories are a little hazy because Jamie is the freakin’ NINJA of photographers. I don’t know how he did it, but from family to friends to us, he managed to anticipate and capture every moment that mattered and then some.
And OMG, did I mention price? Because it was ahhhhmazing! My husband and I were ready to fork over a pretty penny for photography because it was important to us and in many ways, you get what you paid for. Eggsposure is that near mythical combo of incredibly high quality + affordable pricing. The wedding package that we got included the engagement session AND a second photographer/​assistant. Lastly, if you picked C) from the choices above, first — ask yourself if it’s just part of wedding stress/​cold feet. If not, don’t worry either — because Eggsposure also does graduation, family, and other types of photograph sessions!
In all seriousness, we loved working with Eggsposure. In addition to taking beautiful photos, Jamie is accommodating and his turn around time for photos is also fast. Most importantly, Jamie is very genuine and it shows through the lengths he goes to for his clients. He once mentioned that because it is an honor for him to be trusted with capturing the big moments in his clients’ lives, his joy as a photographer is to produce photos that will be treasured for years to come. We’ll definitely treasure ours!

James did an absolutely amazing job with our family portraits. We have an 8-​week old baby, and he was able to capture some really awesome expressions of our little guy! His pricing was great, and included the digital images from our shooting — which is what made us pick him over the other options we explored… it was a GREAT decision, and absolutely worth the investment. He did a fabulous job of just capturing «us» — smiling and laughing and enjoying being together as a family.

My wife and I were recently married, and based on a strong referral from our extended family, we had Eggsposure shoot our engagement party.
We were so thoroughly impressed with the work at the engagement party that we went on to sign James and his assistant up to shoot two other pre-​wedding events!
As such, it’s very easy for me to award Eggsposure 5-​stars!
To get a sense for the scale of the engagement party, my in-​laws hosted ~250 guests in their backyard on a Sunday afternoon this summer. James and his assistant did great job shooting the décor ahead of the event and then continue with candid and posed shots of ourselves, family, and friends throughout the afternoon. It’s hard to describe, but James and his assistant really have a knack for capturing moments so well: whether it’s just guests smiling at one another or laughing at a joke. Looking at the photos afterwards makes one feel as though he or she were there, at the event.
For the more recent pre-​wedding events, my wife and I had separate family events simultaneously at different locations. As such, James covered my wife’s family event (~150 guests), while his assistant, Patricia, covered my family’s event (~50 people) Just as they had with the engagement party, the photographs really captured the moments of the respective evenings really well. I thought both of them did a superb job as they had wit h the engagement shoot.
Again, awarding 5-​stars to Eggsposure Photography is very easy to do given their friendly service, very reasonable pricing, and, of course, the EGGcellent photos!

We hired James to do our wedding in July. We first saw his business ad on Facebook and seriously, the best find ever! From the start, he was so professional and very easy to work with. He was so calm on the wedding day and helped me a lot in my Bridezilla moments! Our family and friends all raved about him as he seemed to be everywhere but never in the way. He does a very candid photo style which makes the picture seem very natural and flipping through our photos allows us to relive the moments every time. Not only is he an amazing photographer but just a really cool guy. What I’ve learned from planning our entire wedding is that some vendors are really good at business and some are really bad. James is the best you can find! He sent out follow up emails, made scheduling very easy, and though there are many other things he did to make us feel special, he also sent us DVD’s of all of our photos (completely edited, no watermarks), and a nice thank you card! Not only did he do our wedding photos but also our engagement shoot, which was amazing as well. He will forever be ours and our family’s go-​to photographer for now on!

Thanks to Unilocal,I was able to find this phenomenal photographer and I am so grateful! I first scouted James out for my brother’s wedding this past July. He was so flexible and easy to work with, it was a great fit. The one quality that drew me most to James was his lack of pretentiousness and ego that comes along with professional photographers. He takes beautiful, candid pictures that capture a moment so perfectly without any excess frills or dramatic effect. I love that about him! James was a complete professional through the whole experience and emailed us electronic high-​resolution copies of the pictures, only a week or so after the wedding. James was spectacular! We hired him to photograph our twin’s first birthday party. He normally does weddings, but James had no problem being our photographer (a skilled photographer is a skilled photographer regardless of event type is my belief, which James demonstrated to be true). He was extremely efficient and easy to work with from our first email contact, to the day of the event, to getting our pictures. I looked through mom forums and Unilocal reviews for the best photographers in the Bay Area and chose James because I like his sense of aesthetics, skills at taking stunning photos as seen through his portfolio, and people describing him as a «ninja.» I was able to completely ignore him (in a good sense), knowing that he’s in the background snapping away and I could relax and tend to my guests. James actually had another event booked after mine and was originally unable to do the full event, but I was adamant about having him as our photographer, so he worked with me to arrive early and leave a little later, still making it to his next event.
He worked non-​stop at the day of the event and was completely professional. His equipment was also top of the line, as complimented by many of our guests who work in high-​tech industries. He told me that I’ll get my pictures in a week, but he sent me all the pictures after 2 days! When I saw the pictures, I was speechless. He captured so many fleeting moments that only lasted a split second in real life (especially dealing with babies and kids). His pictures came out vibrant and focused – when I looked at other highly rated Unilocal photographer’s portfolios, many pictures looked pretty at first glance but is actually out of focus if you pay attention to the picture. All in all, you can’t go wrong with James. I’m quite shocked at how affordable he is compared to others given his skills.
I’d just like to add that our family have many «fancy» cameras that allow us to take professional-​looking photos. So I wasn’t looking for someone to take photos that just «looked» professional, but actually someone who had an eye for anticipating and capturing fleeting moments, made sure that all the subjects and objects looked gorgeous and well balanced in each frame, and did post-​editing work to make sure the lighting and colors were perfect.

A friend connected us with Eggsposure Photography and we were very happy with the experience. We started with engagement photos and went on to get wedding photos, too.
James was a great communicator, asking us in detail about our style and preferences so we’d be sure to get the kind of photos we wanted. He was also very responsive and organized when responding to emails.
The turnaround time was impressively quick. I think my sister waited multiple months for her physical wedding albums, but for both of our photoshoots we got our digital albums in just a couple weeks.
