Dr. Lacy is indifferent, cold, & lazy. He is probably as knowledgeable in his field as the other doctors at PAMF, but he is not helpful, attentive, or focused on his patient. Neurologists as a breed are not the most empathetic physicians in the universe, but there must be others in this heavily medicalised area who are preferable to Dr. Lacy. Try to find one of them.

I saw Dr Lacy for migraine headaches. I have been to him twice.
The good
Dr Lacy clearly knows the realm of migraine medication well, and can rattle off facts and figures about medication options quickly. He understands the pros and cons of meds– from triptans, to the prophylactic classes. He knows history of these drugs, and can help you with choices of drugs.
My hopes
In my quest for a neurologist, and as someone who is very new to having migraines, I am looking for a doctor who can help me understand the roots and impact of migraine in my life. I am looking for a doctor to assist me in helping me identify triggers, explain what I can do from a lifestyle prospective to lessen migraines. I am looking for someone who will partner with me on navigating the very confusing world of migraines and offer assistance in all aspects of migraines.
My conclusion
Dr Lacy is not the neurologist for me. He would be excellent for someone who is interested in pursuing recommendations for drugs, and who is looking to control migraine through medication.
I would NOT recommend Dr Lacy if
1. You are looking for a doctor to help explain migraine, its many symptoms, how the disease impacts your life, or the way it may manifest itself.
2. You are looking for a doctor to partner and help you identify possible lifestyle changes or modifications you could make to lessen migraines in your life.
I honestly learned more about these two concerns from «Migraine: A complete guide» than I did from Dr Lacy.
