So Cal beach meets Nor Cal functionality. Planet blue delivers a bevy of tropical fusion to the high energy tech space of Palo Alto. The store reminds me of sitting on a moss covered rock overlooking the foggy beaches near Pacifica. Tropical sounds fill the store and remind you of your first catamaran trip off the coast of Oahu. Beside the ridiculously good looking clothing and ambiance, the staff makes the store top notch. Any one of them is a catch for sure. I also heard the manager gives surfing lessons, Just in case you get the itch to be one with the sea. My only disappointment: they ran out of men’s stuff, so I had to get a women’s tank instead

I was very excited about planet blue opening in Palo Alto however the selection at this location is odd and not well merchandised at all. Some of the staff are quite friendly however the last time I went in to shop for a special item they told me they were closing soon. I rushed through to try and find a dress for a party over the weekend and made sure I left before their official closing time. They were not very helpful just pointed me in the direction of the changing room. After I left they slammed the door very loudly behind me. Very poor customer service, odd selection and merchandised items, and with limited sizes, I don’t expect to come back to this location any time soon.

I am a fan of planet blue –but I am used to the clothes that are carried in the southern California stores. Service is good-nice people there. The clothing variety for this location could be a lot better. It is a very small location but so is the Malibu store and they rock it there!

Super friendly and attentive staff. The girls here are soo nice and helpful. It is a smaller store compared to other but they have a really good selection, with a select amount of sizes. Love this place Pros: friendly staff, lots of pieces, adorable jewelry Only con: limited sizes but they are willing to order from other stores

Love the style of clothing! Despite the higher prices, I always find unique pieces with a boho chic style. So happy to finally have a PB in NorCal. The staff are young, pleasant, helpful and always have the cutest outfits!

I was SHOCKED that they opened a Planet Blue in Palo Alto as their first Northern California location(PB took over the space of previous 49ers fan store). The beachy vibes of this Southern California chain just don’t really fit the aesthetic of Silicon Valley, but its still exciting to see that more LA stores are opening up in my hometown(golf clap for free parking and being right next door to Douce France). This is a really small Planet Blue location. Compared to the Bev Hills, Venice, Santa Monica locations, PA Planet Blue just barely anything. Basically no swimwear. Not sure if they’re still stocking up since it’s a new branch, but right now, the variety just isn’t there with higher-end brands. Pros: This is the only shop that I can think of in the Bay Area where you’ll be able to find LA brands like Stone_Cold_Fox, For Love & Lemons, etc. I’ve stopped by 3x since they opened Memorial Day weekend and the service has been friendly and eager, so no complaints there. Although some of the sales associates are sweet, sorry but they are kind of…“basic.” They’ve given some really odd style suggestions, as if they’ve only recently graduated from the School of Free People/Urban Outfitters… I can’t. So I’d recommend just trusting your own taste when you go in to PB and avoid being deterred by poor taste. Palo Alto Mothers — be warned: almost everything here is 1. sheer 2. so low cut that it requires that your daughters do not wear a bra in order to flaunt side boob 3. so short that she’ll spend more hours showing«underbutt» than studying for the SAT. Hey, I’m not judging bc I loved Planet Blue in college, but it’s actually semi disturbing that its across the street from my old high school and adolescent teen girls are shopping here… Overall, it’s great that PB opened in T&C, but you’ll find this shop disappointing if you’re used to going to any 4 of the LA locations. Hopefully that changes!
