Tony is the most amazing healer I know.
When I was studying for the bar exam three years ago, I developed tendonitis. I was worried that I was going to have to take the three-​day exam using voice recognition software, which was petrifying. After trying other masseuses and acupuncturists, nothing was working, and I was getting scared. I read Tony’s Unilocal reviews and booked a session — and boy, am I glad I did. Tony immediately characterized the problem and after one session, my tendonitis was gone.
Since then, he has continued to be a wonderful presence in my life, helping my body feel great while offering sage emotional guidance. I recommend him to all of my friends, and can’t speak highly enough of him.

I have had back pain for 10 years and have spent half my life in and out of doctors offices, specialists, chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncture you name it I’ve done it. NOTHING compares to Anthony and his abilities.
I’m what people call a mystery case. I get shooed away and sent home with pain killers. Anthony however took my case head on and has changed my life. I am extremely active and am a devoted athlete. I can’t live without exercise. Anthony is the only person who has understood my passion and is able to help me continue doing what I love.

Miracle worker.

I am unfortunately a very experienced body worker «user» having seen about a dozen PTs/​chiropractors over the last 10 years since a bicycling accident changed my life forever. Tony is by far the best I’ve ever worked with. He has excellent diagnostics skills and bio-​mechanical skills. If you have pain in a certain place he is able to tell you why it hurts — what’s happening from a bio-​mechanical viewpoint that is keeping you in pain. He is also very good at explaining his thinking to you in a way that you «get it.» Tony is a «systems thinker» and views the body as an integrated whole.
His «hands on» work is by far the best I’ve experienced. Sitting has been a major problem for me and he’s helped me significantly. He has explained the root cause of my problem in a way that no PT or MD has been able to. That alone has been priceless.
He is very caring, personable and an absolute pleasure to work with. I couldn’t recommend him more. Thank you, Tony!

After reading what appeared to be ‘good’ reviews on Unilocal,I attempted to make an appointment with Tony on two separate occasions (& more than a week apart).
I did not receive a call back either time. Totally unprofessional!

I would recommend rolfing — but more specifically Anthony — to anyone who is ready to open up to shifting their bodies in major ways and feeling the freedom of having your body work so much better for you.
I made an appointment with Anthony because of the good Unilocal reviews I had read. That was the best decision I have made in a long time! On a global level, Anthony is highly skilled, professional, engaged, tuned in, and a master at his craft. He clearly has a depth of academic knowledge along with his years of practice that allowed him to get to work quickly and personalize the rolfing sessions to exactly what my body needed. I felt significant results after the first session (for example, after attending to my shoulder for a matter of minutes, he asked me to raise my arm — my arm felt completely freed up from my shoulder and floated up over my head as though it was weightless). More importantly, even though I work out and stay active, I have a 36 year history of degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis which led to nerve compression and a withered left calf. I recently went to an orthopedist who told me that surgery was the only way to address this and if I didn’t, I would probably eventually be left with a drop foot. I told Anthony about this and that my hips were feeling more bound up, restricting the flow of movement in my legs. Within the first 4 sessions, I had begun to get some sensation in my calf and noticed that the muscle was beginning to work once again. After the full series of 10 sessions, my calf has significant new muscle development (has grown an inch in circumference,), my posture is much improved, and my increased freedom of movement is significant.
I could write pages on the nuanced ways in which Anthony paid attention to the movement patterns and carriage of my body from session to session and the deep conversations we had regarding the connection between mind and body and the interplay between them (and how things began shifting for me in both realms through the rolfing). It has been a profound and personalized experience that has been better than I could have ever hoped for.
When people ask me if it’s painful, I tell them it’s the kind of thing where it «hurts so good». Anthony worked with me every step of the way and never crossed a line of creating a sensation that was not bearable (and every sensation felt like it had a necessary purpose). I found him to be extremely attentive and responsive to my feedback and 100% trustworthy in the manner in which he worked with and on me. If you choose to do this, it will probably be one of the best things you ever do for yourself.

After many years of lower back pain and feeling stuck in my life and body, I decided to try rolfing. I met Tony when I felt like I was moving forward in my life but my body wasn’t ready.
After meeting with Tony and talking to him about my goals I felt supported and understood. I decided to sign up for the ten sessions and am now going back for a three session tune-​up. Each session we would talk and he would tailor the sessions to meet my needs. Working with him helped me to unlock my body and gain more awareness of my habits and imbalances.
Besides being an excellent rolfer, Tony is also a healer and listens without judgment.

Two years ago, I developed an on and off pain in the top my right foot which often made it difficult for me to walk. In the past year, the pain became more frequent and was often felt from the moment I woke up and got out of bed to the moment I feel asleep at the end of the day. I was soon beginning to think that I needed to accept this pain was part of getting older.
After just two sessions with Tony, my foot is now out of pain and back to normal. Working with Tony has been eye opening and life changing experience in such a short period of time. He is very personable and truly cares about his clients to get to the ‘root’ of what is causing ‘pain’ or ‘blockage’ both mentally and physically.
As I struggle with words to describe his work and the truth to his rolfing, I can however attest to his energy transferring awareness and body shifting powers. Tony truly has a rare gift, to connect with people immediately and to heal.
*I highly recommend just trying one session with Tony… you might just find yourself forever changed.

I came to Rolfing for help with childhood trauma, not a current physical issue. I dislike massages, had heard Rolfing could be painful, and had also heard it was expensive with minimal benefit so I was a bit hesitant. However, someone managed to convince me to try it. I’m so glad I did.
First of all, it’s not painful, or at least the way Tony does it is not painful. I was concerned it could be a trauma trigger, for those of you familiar with the vocabulary around trauma. It wasn’t. It was more of an education about how trauma has changed how I use my body; I hunch over, I get heartburn from emotions (not food), I favor my left leg, etc.
He then works on undoing the hunch, the repeating heartburn, balancing the legs, etc. He shows you how to maintain the benefit and it’s really easy now that all the locked muscles are all loosened up. I feel like I’m getting back the range of movement I had as a child, but stiffened up over time as a physical defense, in addition to the emotional defense, to what was going on during my childhood.
Tony is also just plain nice to work with. He’s very professional and also so knowledgeable and helpful. He communicates and listens well, so you don’t end up with more than you can handle. He’s really a kind and gentle sort.
For those concerned about cost and/​or commitment, you can either pay for all 10 sessions at the first or second session, or pay for each session as you go. You will not find yourself pressured to sign up for all of them at the end of the first session; he is just not a high pressure sort of person. I emailed back three days after the first session just to schedule the second one and not commit beyond that; it was fine. I have now finished my third session and expect to do all of them at this point since it’s been so helpful. I expect to uncover yet more physical issues and look forward very much to fixing them.
As you can guess from the above, I highly recommend him.
Update: I finished my 10^th session earlier this year. This Rolfing was life-​changing for me. Now that I am aware of the things that cause me to hunch, have heartburn, and have other uncomfortable physical reactions, I have pretty much dumped as many of those things out of my life as I can. I feel 100% happier! Tony taught me to find and read those things. I could not have done it without him. As another person said, he really is a healer.

Rolfing with Tony was a transformational experience. I first saw him when I was training for a big swim. I was having severe pain in my shoulder and upper back. The pain was sharp and persistent and I had tried just about everything to make it go away. I was getting regular deep tissue massages, seeing a chiropractor, and getting graston. All of these activities alleviated the pain temporarily but it was clear that they weren’t fixing the problem. I had heard about Tony from a friend and thought it was worth looking into. At first I was slightly skeptical and nervous about the 10 session commitment. Although with all I was spending on other remedies I figured I had little to lose. Within two sessions I was feeling a difference in my shoulder and in other areas of my body. I was shocked to see the changes in my alignment and in other areas that I wasn’t even expecting. For example, I was able to breath much easier after a session where he worked on my diaphragm. I felt like I had a new nose! Within four sessions the pain in my shoulder was completely gone. In addition to fixing this issue, Tony helped my dissect my stroke and my everyday movements that were perpetuating my unbalanced state. I am now much more conscious about how I sit, move and use my body during exercise. I know what patterns will eventually cause me pain and this knowledge is invaluable. I probably visit Tony two to three times a year for checkup as I continue to be very active and inflict lots of stress on my body. I would recommend Rolfing for anyone who has chronic pain or discomfort in any area of their body. It is truly that powerful. It is also important to note that Tony is a wonderful person and a pleasure to work with.

Tony has got ‘it’, the healers touch, whatever you want to call it.
I have had back pain for over 10 years, tried everything, this is the only thing that worked.
I went in very skeptical on the recommendation of a trusted friend and said i’d give it one sessions. my friend told me that tony would change my life in that first session and if not i could and should quit it.
much to my surprise, i was sold. not only was i out of the sharpest of my pain, but i had an understanding of where it came from that was evident to tony simply from looking at me. when i walked in, it took him about 30 seconds without touching me to have an idea of where my pain was coming from… he could tell me how my weight was unbalanced and made me aware of my own muscular bias.
i would highly recommend tony to anyone – and have! to several friends, who’ve all had rave things to say.

Tony is a visionary Rolfer. Rolfing is about seeing how the parts of the body relate and knowing how to bring them into balance, symmetry and alignment. All of the parts work together as an integrated whole. That’s the physical part, and Tony is great at it! But I call him a visionary because he sees the whole person. He sees who you are, what you are carrying from the past and how he can help you let go of what you don’t need anymore. As Tony works with you, the stuff just melts away. You feel lighter, more grounded, more connected. You also gain awareness of what happens to your body as you experience the stress, pain — and joy of life. This awareness enables you to maintain the balance over many years; the work lasts!
I’m grateful that I’ve experienced Tony’s work. As a massage therapist, I’ve experienced a lot of bodywork over the past 9 years. Tony’s work has been profound, effective and life changing. For me, the connection to ground and feeling more rooted in my life has resulted in a feeling of safety which has led to a greater freedom to experience connection to spirit. I love the physical effects of being balanced and upright and I love the way my spirit shines forth.

I heard great things about Tony and his practice from a friend, who has experienced profound changes in his life by the 3^rd session. In fact, the changes were so profound and noticeable, I had to meet this Tony person myself, right away.
There were a couple of reasons I was interested. For one, I am an athlete with a lot of minor old aches and injuries, and a lot of times, I feel «unbalanced.» But even more importantly (for me), I was looking at rolfing as a way to aid me on my «personal growth path» — I had heard that it «gets things unstuck.»
I left a voicemail, and Tony called me back the same day. We chatted on the phone for what must have been close to 15 minutes. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, but there was no sales pressure. We scheduled an appointment.
The way rolfing treatments are set up, you can do one, or you can do the whole series. But just one is perfectly fine, and super beneficial. I came in for one — but found the treatment so beneficial, both physically and spiritually/​emotionally, that I signed up for the remainder of the series right away.
I’ve had 2 sessions, over 3 weeks. Tony has been wonderful to work with, and his treatment has been worth every penny. I recommend him without any reservations.
